I have no Gameboy at all, save for the Player that works with the GC, and a DS. I'd certainly pay $12 USD for a boxed GBC.gmsnpr

*is shocked* had I known I could have got you one while working at GS, we had em' all the time listed at $2

$2 is crazy cheap for a complete-in-box system, no matter what it is.

ya, the problem was the the people who worked with me were always throwing out the boxes... anyway, too late to consider it now...

Do you have the pocket printer for it?

Nope.  For me, there's little reason for a hard copy of such a low-res picture.

Oh but think of all the fun stickers you could make!  JK, I was just wondering for collecting reasons. That's a fair price for being CIB.

Oh, If I found a CIB printer on the cheap, I'd still get it, even if it remained mothballed forever.

Couple of days ago I picked up:

Yggdra Union, GBA, New, $15
Summon Night: A Swordcraft Story, GBA, New, $25

I was having issues with the monitor I recently purchased so I was kind of focused on that.  You can see my blog for more details.

Diablo - PC - Free A friend of mine picked up three copies for (IIRC) less than a dollar each, and he gave me one of them. I actually haven't opened it yet, but hopefully it runs on my PC even though it's so old.gakon5

X-cellent game.  Same thing happend to me, but I was given the Mac version.... I don't have a mac so needless to say I have not used it yet.  If it doesn't work maybe there is a patch for win 2000 or XP?

Well it seems my Boss likes me becasue she keeps giving me big paychecks.

Part 1/2

Went out of town to a pawn shop I hit up every few months or so.

See, when I went today the guy must have known my father so I got 50% off everything! :D

Lemmings the Tribes - Megadrive, box+cart only $5 AUS
Mortal Kombat - Megadrive, box+cart only $5 AUS

Mortal Kombat 2 - Megadrive, box+cart only $5 AUS

Mortal Kombat 3 - Megadrive, complete mint $5

Rise of the Robots - Megadrive, complete mint $5

Onslaughtv - Megadrive, complete mint $5

Sol-Deace - Megadrive, (Hong Kong? Pirate?) $5

Gain Ground - Megadrive, box+cart only $5

Red Zone - Megadrive, box+cart only $5

Super Baseball 2020 - Megadrive, box+cart only $5

God of War - PS2, NON-platinuim complete $7 (!)

Pokemon Sapphire Version - GBA, complete $30

Indiana Jones and the internal machine - PC, complete $4

After this we asked the owner if there was any other second hand joints around.  There was one around the corner so we headed off there.

The second place was hideouslyover priced BUT I found a really, REALLY nice pick up.  There was very little there but he asked what sort of systems I collected for and I just said "old ones"  So he he walks out the back and brings back an Atari 2600 V2 box filled with games.  The games are as follow:

MotoRodeo - 2600, manual+cart only (!)

Off The wall - 2600 red label, manual+cart only

Kangaroo - 2600 silver label, manual+cart only

Midnight Magic - 2600 red label, cart only

RealSports Soccer - 2600 red label, cart only

Centipede - 2600 red label, cart only

Frogger - 2600 H.E.S cart, cart only

Smash hit pak - 2600 H.E.S cart, cart only

Pitfall - Activision green cart, cart only

I got those PLUS the empty Atari 2600 V2 box AND he gave me a good condition clear Gameboy pocket box (empty) all for $50 AUS ;)  According to Atariage, some of those games are quite rare :D

P.s I got two copies of God Of war now, so if anyone wants a complete Platinium version of GOW for like $10AUS PM me.

Oh, before I forget, I am going to that video store that is selling all those SNES, N64 and PS1 games, Got any hints of games I should look out for for those systems? (mainly for SNES) Oh and most of the RPG's are gone :(

Decided not to go to the Video store selling all those SNES games but rather to another Large Cash Converters.  Turns out it was a good move.

Drakan the ancients gate - PS2 complete, $19 AUS

Steel Dragon EX - PS2 complete, $15 AUS

Ghost Hunter - PS2 complete $15 AUS (I think someone recommned this one in CCU forums)

Kirby Air Ride - GC complete, $19 AUS

Resident Evil 4 bonus disc - GC no manual? $5

Vex - GC complete, $9 AUS

Section-Z - NES cart only $12 AUS

Marble Madness - NES complete, $19 AUS

Zombies - Megadrive cart only - $4 AUS

Awesome Possum - Megadrive mint complete, $9 AUS

Ex-Mutants - Megadrive complete, $3 AUS

Road Rash - Megadrive box+cart only, $3 AUS

Australian Ruby League - Megadrive cart only, $2 AUS

Dragon Heart Fire & Steel - Saturn box+disc only, $6 AUS

Bust-a-move 3 DX - N64 complete, $15 AUS

Diddy Kong Racing - N64 mint complete, $25 AUS

Jr. Pac-Man - 2600 red label cart only, $4 AUS

Bobby is going home - 2600 cart only, $4 AUS

Mission 3,000 A.D - 2600 cart only, $4 AUS

Cross Force - 2600 cart only, $4 AUS

Open, Sesame! - 2600 cart only $4 AUS

It was all discounted to about $180 which is pretty good.  I think that's about it.

Yeah, we should make that game a ritual of entry into the CCU.  You want story -- here's your story -- what a game.  BWT is a must-own game.  I am proud to have bought it at launch.

I can honestly say I've never even seen it in my town.  Of course my choices for buying games were (until recently) Wal-Mart and, um, Wal-Mart.  Odds are I'm not going to find it here in the sticks.  A quick Starland check shows it's relatively inexpensive ($12.95 complete) but out of stock.  I'll keep it on my watch list there because it's probably my best bet.

Just the two pick up's today.

Legend of Legaia - PS1, A trade with CodingGenius (thanks!)

Panzer Dragoon Orta - XBOX complete, Ex-rental, I usally don't pick up ex-rentals but this one was $30, then $25, then $20 and finally $15 dollers.  The disc was in great shape (had a disc sticker but was the kind that was easily pealed off and left no sticky stuff) and only the back and front of the manual was laminated apart from that it's pretty good  :)

Wow, my memory is getting bad, I did not know I had that game until I just looked. (not a good sign).  I think gmsnpr has every RPG released for the PS1 in the US.  I think I will dedicate myself to that same goal.  Now I'll need to find that post where he lists them all.

I'm the grand prize winner of the GameSpot Bullet Witch Sweepstakes. My copy/paste still won't work on this site so you'll have to read my blog if you want more details.

I have no plans for the prize just yet.  I'm a regular at Best Buy so I may just use to to get interesting things as they're released rather than one big spree of gaming goodness.

to copy/paste on here just do it the DOS way (ctrl C to copy followed by ctrl V to paste)

I can't wait to see what you buy... although I'll bet you don't use it all on games.

I think I'd be getting a PS3 and a few games, if won a $1000 for Best Buy.

Anyway, I picked up Black for the Xbox yesterday, $20 new.  I also had DOA Xtreme Volleyball in my hand, I've been wanting it for my collection (not to play, really) because I think it's an interesting offshoot of the DOA series, but for some reason I feel like a perv buying that.  Also, I don't want to have to explain that title to my daughter when she's looking through my collection.:oops:

DoAX is easy to explain. It's a volleyball game! One of my friends used to play that in front of his son just to watch him blush.

I've considered the same thing. Unfortunately the PS3 doesn't have any games that interest me.

Also...expect to see me posting here more often soon. My merger will be happening sooner than expected and I have several packages already on their way.

I'm back. =P here's my report, see my blog if you want the extended storied version. :)

So here's what I got on my 7 days away:

Near the Wal-Mart in Pocomoke City, a Gamespot opened up. Anyway ( I went on two separate trips) they had some PSone games on sale, for 75% off. The best Part of these those, is most of them are complete copies. So here's the rundown:

PSone:

Resident Evil, Disk only, $1.30
Puzzle Star Sweep, complete cept for manual, $0.60
Centipede, Complete, $0.75
Power Play: Sports Trivia, Complete, $0.45
Ball Breakers, Complete, $0.30
ONE, Complete, $0.45
Lode Runner, Complete, $0.45
Wild 9, Complete, $0.45 ( I also have a disk only copy from the past, so now I got two copies)
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, Complete, got that brand new feel to it, $4.50
Marble Master, Complete, $0.90
Allied General, Complete, $0.60
Epidemic, Complete, $0.75
Dragon Ball GT, Final Bout, Complete, $0.75
Miracle Space Race, Complete,$0.60
Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, $3.00 ( I bought 2 Complete copies, they feel like brand new =P)

Time Crisis Project Titan, Complete, $1.05
Triple Play '97, Complete, $0.30
Battle Arena Toshinden 3, Complete, 0.60
N20: Nitrous Oxide, Complete, $0.45
Geom Cube, Complete, $0.60
Patriotic Pinball, Complete, $0.90

Card Games, Complete, $0.75
Tecmo Stackers, complete cept for manual, $0.75
Grid Runner, complete cept for manual, $0.30
Pipe Dreams 3D, Complete, $0.45
Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown, complete cept for manual, $0.90
Syphon Filter 3, Complete, $1.05
Batman Gotham City Racers, complete cept for manual, $1.95
C-12: Final Resistance, New, $0.45
Touring Car Challenge, Complete, $0.60
Beyblade, complete cept for manual, $0.75
Syndicate Wars, complete cept for manual, $0.75
Kingsly's Adventure, Disk Only, $0.75

PS2:
Stretch Panic, $4.49
Legaia 2 Duel Saga, $7.19

-----------

Now in the Wal-Mart, during the week, I found a few things in the bargain bin that caught my eye and I bought them.

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones/ Marble Madness and Lax, GBA, Two Pak for $14.99
Ultimate Spider-Man, GBA, $14.99
Naruto: Clash of the Ninja 2, GCN, $19.99 (might as well take that plunge)

Remember, I got ten percent off of these prices so I paid a bit less total for them.

-----------

So anyway I went for a few days without buying any games (you'll find out why in my next blog), and on Saturday I went to do what any red blooded video game bargain hunter dude (or dudette) does on saturdays...

Hit those flea markets =P and there was two near Chincoteague.

At the first flea market I got a NES Game Genie for free and a Dreamcast, all the hookups, two controllers, and Two VMUs for only $35. Saweet

-----------

At the very last game stop for my vacation, it was the the new flea market that opened up.

I got all this for $20:
Dragon's Lair, Sega CD, Complete
The Amazing Spider-Man VS.The Kingpin, Sega CD, Complete
Sonic CD, Sega CD, Complete
Thunder Strike, Sega CD, Complete
The Terminator, Sega CD, Complete
Double Switch, Sega CD, Complete
Jurassic Park, Sega CD, Complete
Sonic 3D Blast, Genesis, Cart only
Menacer 6 Game Cart, Genesis, Cart only

(all the Sega CD games were in top notch condition, double yay!)

and this for only $4:
Sega Saturn MK-80100 Controller
Triple PLay Baseball, Gold Edition, Genesis, Complete
VR Troopers Game Case, Sleeve, and Manual
Street Fighter II' Special Championship Edition

And there ends the list of game stuff I got on my Vacation.. Really I only spent a little over $100 for all this stuff, 51 games or so, a Dreamcast, all it's connections, controllers, and two VMUs, and a Saturn controller, and a Game Genie for the NES. I kept within my budget with lots of room to spare.

You and Clubhaxor live in AUS right? It's a bt harder there to get stuff there from what I hear. If I lived there, I'd prolly be good friends with "Mother Internet" xD In orther words, I'd be buying stuff more of the net. But Haxor said in my Blog, that they don't have anything like Flea Markets in AUS, is that true?

My sister has that game and the Nicktoons game that uses the eyetoy. I'd like the River game but I would have to trade for it. with her *scatches chin.*

First of all, Congrats on getting the voucher!, And second of all,  I'd get ever system from this generation that you haven't gotten yet (and last if you have't done so either).

I own DOX2, and don't feel like a "you know what" if you do get it or the one for the orginal Xbox. Just remember to not take the game too seriously. It's actually fun for short burts and realy is a nice break from all the intense games out there. If you take the game too seriously ...well you might get dissapointed. It's one of Xbox's original games for the system(s) and is truly one of it's own =P
