Came home for the weekend ready to shop ;)

Key of Heaven PSP- $20

Ultimate Ghosts and Goblins PSP- $20

Tales of Phantasia GBA- $9.88

All new

They also had Pitfall Mayan Adventure GBA for $9.88 which is cheap but the top of the box was cut off and had no manual... :(

aspro73

I had not heard of Key of Heaven. Also, I drove through your town on hte way ot Sydney last week and saw a store named, "Cartridge World". You can probably imagine how disappointed I was to find out they sell ink cartridges, not retro games.

Yeah I already fell for that one. There's a ton of Cartridge Worlds in the Atlanta area. I went from elation, to sadness in about 10 seconds.

There was a Cartidge World in Illinois when I was on a business trip and I went from exhuberant to arsonist.

Heh... I've been really tempted to invest in a palm pilot or something of the sort to keep track of which games I own and which games I should be on the look out for while I'm out shopping. Something like that would likely keep many of us from buying unwanted duplicates.

I don't feel like commentig on you anymore... you have surpassed comments and moved on to a buisness like stamp.

I got FFVIII for free... it's mint and complete but the first disc doesn't work... not sure what to do about it at the moment... but when I find one locally... I'll know... it looks like it was game Dr'd or otherwise fixified... which as you all know... doesn't fixify at all.

Sweet, how'd you get the free copy? I know you're not particularly fond of FF, but VIII is my second favorite in the entire series (IV is first). The only thing I don't particularly like about VIII is having to draw magic from enemies. It's just a little too tedious. Other than that, everything else about the game is wonderful!

I hope you get your hands on a better copy.

And... you get +2 points for "fixified".

I'll probably give it to one of my nephews (or sell it to a gamestop down here if they buy international games). When I buy something now it goes to my old address, is then forwarded to an international mail forwarder and then goes to AU, so it's basically imposible to stop that supply chain once it has been set in motion. :(

I was just kidding by the way. I'll pick it up at a store somewhere eventually. So, how long are you going to be down there anyway? I thought you were just visiting for a while, but I guess it's a little more extended than that huh? A work thing?

I think March is becoming a big, big month for us collectors - are numbers in our collection are booming quite lately :)

Awesome pickups all, some nice stuff has already been collected this month and it's not even at the halfway mark yet!

Today at my local flea market I picked up:

Jupiter Strike, Psone

Total Eclipse Turbo, Psone

Off-World Intercepter Extreme, Psone

Cyberia, Psone

All are the old boxed style Psone versions, and all in are in excellent condition. Total for all 4: $15

I used to own Off-World Intercepter Extreme years ago....but in it's jewel case form.

I also got Super Mario All Stars for SNES for $20. This is a game I wanted for a long time and finally have.

gmsnpr
You've managed to dig up some pretty good longbox PS1 titles recently. I'm still interested in gatting Starblade Alpha and Philosoma, part of the last load.

The vender at the flea market that Ibought those two from is the one where I got the other 4 this weekend...I cleared him out of the games. xD I figured I better snatch them up before they get bought.

Usually i only go for RPGs and Strategy games but i was browsing on ebay for a GBC game, found only one of the game i was looking for, and it turns out the lady lives 15 minutes from me. So i picked up a few others from her and she dropped the shipping cost. Heres the haul all just carts only:

Super Star Wars SNES 1.00
All-star Baseball 2000 N64 2.75
Forsaken 64 N64 1.00
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron N64 2.89
Warlocked GBC 1.89

Total: $9.53

She says she has more games not listed so i may come home with more then i think. I may trade a few old movies i stole from blockbusters dumpster that they were throwing away to, she said she may just nock more off of hte price, HOLY CRAP huh?!

I headed back to Hollywood Video to nab those few games I later wanted to pick up and hit the motherload. I found a crap load of rarer PS2 and Xbox games, as well as some 360, so I baught one and popped the rest on my hold shelf. I now have a crap load of stuff on that shelf, so to recap what I have put aside, here is the complete list:

I am waiting on picking all of this, as well as a few movies, up until the prices drop even lower. They are down to $8 per game, but once they get down to $5 or so, I'm going to buy the whole lot.

I also picked up:

in rental case, $8

and of course:

For me that was the original Legend of Zelda. Specifically the final dungeon of the first and second plays with Gannon. I bombed, pushed, etc. to every wall, nook, and cranny to make a complete map of everything.

Is it because Aspro didn't know a game existed or because my selection sucked or.... explain please! thanks :)

A shopping trip after work lead to a rare find. It's a little known game full of obscure characters that none of you have likely ever heard of.

Many would consider me to be an anti-Nintendo fanboy, but in all honesty, I love SSBB. It is absolutely fantastic, and once my brother and I beat story mode, we can really get some Brawlin' done.

{SLIGHT SPOILER OF UNLOCKABLE CHARACTERS AHEAD in SSBB}

Oh yeah, that's a must. Unlocked Snake & Lucario last night. Had to play through as at least the former last night, his moves are definately cool. Once I've got them all unlocked I'll probably go into some major brawling.

I was sick of it a week ago when it was already the only thing being talked about on every gaming website. gamefaqs had it as the poll of the day subject 10 out of 14 days the last 2 weeks.

Big C4 - nice going. Even though you'll have to deal with all that rental labelling, $8 is a great deal, I'm pretty sure if I didn't already have those games I'd be doing the exact same thing.

It's a good thing that I somehow managed to avoid the hype while spending all night on gaming sites. I prefer to enjoy games instead of just hating on them for being popular.

Yeah. One nice thing about working at Gamestop is that if I find an original case, I can swap the rental one with it.

I picked up 4 games today, three of which were free!

without instruction book, $10

complete, free as a gift from the manager of Hollywood Video.

in rental case, free due to it being unsellable. There is a bit of plastic missing from the middle of the disc, so it might not work, but if it doesn't, no big deal.

in rental case, free due to it being unsellable. There are some surface scratches on the top of the disc, but once again, I figure I'd give it a shot. If it doesn't work, no big deal.

I also added:

in rental case to my hold shelf over there, because the trade in value is $11, so I'll make a decent profit later on.

I also found an original case for:

and will probably pay $20 for a copy of:

in rental box. Apparently, there is yet another copy of this at Hollywood, and one of my Gamestop managers has it on hold, so he told me I could buy it if I could basically give him what it's worth. Sounds good to me. Now I kinda want to play it...

Good buys guys ^

I bought into the fever and paid $27 for a complete copy of:

Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast

Don't know how I missed that one the first time around. Probably because I reflexivly ignore anything relating to Star Wars.
