After a trip to Gamestop wielding nothing in the world I wanted or was on my list, I decided to check out a new Pawn store, Pawn America, that just opened up. I found a few goodies at decent prices, as usual, some things are over priced but they had a few oldies that weren't bad...

I thought that was a great price for PiT for DS. Gamestop is $30 for it used.

It was strange, the store had only Sands of Time for other systems, but had all three for GC. I generally gravitate toward the GC for my multiplatform games anyway (GC needs the love :(), so that works for me, but I just found that strange.

Recently I picked up Silent Hill 4 The Room and Soul Calibur 3, SH4 was like new but the woman at the desk went upstairs and switched the copy of SC3 she was gonna give me with a copy that looked like it had been molested by a hook handed madman, I was dissapointed with that but even moreso when it didn't even work, took it back and switched it for Tekken 4 with bonus disc, was like new as well, awesome :)

Yep, just eBay. Living near an import store is a magical state of affairs that only happens in a candy-coloured dream world, floating along on a fluffy pink-and-white cloud and inhabited solely by kittens and unicorns.

Now with that Freeloader I can also play Cubivore, which is really the only other import I want. I'm probably just going to use it to snatch cheaper copies of stuff like Zelda TP, Tales of Symphonia, Skies of Arcadia etc. They might be pricey as far as GC games go in the US, but they're still a darn sight cheaper than here :P

He did have a few NES games and one Master System game in the front area, and I saw half a dozen PS1 longboxes on various shelves, so there's hope. Maybe I can snag a cheap copy of X-Com...

Nintendo DS Pokemon Bundle - NEW - $129.99 - These aren't supposed to ship until Tuesday, but my local store has them out already. The DS itself looks nice, and it comes with a bonus DVD, carrying case, and shirt. The shirt isn't the typical flimsy freebee either. It's a well made cotton shirt from Hanes. The only gripe is that the box is REALLY hard to open without ripping it apart. It's glued closed rather than the usual sticker keeping a flap closed.

Super Mario Bros. 3 - NES - Used - Complete - $25 dunno if that's a bad price or not as I don't collect alot of NES but this sucker looked new. The box, manual, everything had nary a blemish on it and I just know that I'll never find a copy in that state again.
Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom - NES - Used - Complete - $25 this guy was in the same boat as the SMB3. Both of them were absolutely spotless and I feel that it was my civic duty to rescue them from the harsh world. I've seen new copies of games that were in worse condition that these two games. There are both absolutely spotless.
