Well, whether you bring in quotes or not, I know that Tidus was not always whiny. I've played the game three times, and I can recall that not every scene in X had Tidus being whiny. I can remember Tidus and Yuna having great times with eachother, I can remember Tidus socializing with the others and connecting with the others. How could some little whiny punk be man enough to do all he can to protect the woman he cares, and in the process kill his own father? How could someone who only whines get the respect of Lulu, Kimahri, Auron, Yuna, Rikku, and wakka? i do remember a scene where Tidus tried to encourage Wakka 's blitzball team, and there's the laughing scene with yuna where Tidus is trying to support Yuna and cheer her up, which no person that only whines would be able to accomplish. I know these things have happened in X, because I've played X.

Now I'm getting tired of this thread...I've been saying the same things multiple times. Meh...

I certainly don't recall Tidus whining in the scenes I had previously mentioned, nor do I see how or whyhe possibly would...

someone that only whines and complainswouldn't be able to embark on a quest as dangerous as the Tidus went on, and succeed. The only scenes where I remeber Tidus ever being upset really were when he discovered what would happen to Yuna when going against Braska's Final Aeon, and also when he had to fight his father. Of course, those are justifiable times to be quite sad and upset, I'd be complaining quite alot myself if I had to do those things. He was also optimistic, considering he was the one trying hardest to save Yuna from her fate.

who said he went nuts? I don't know of people saying he went nuts. It didn't seem like he was faking the happines to me.
