Xane noticed water wasn't having an effect.
"GUYS FIND A NEW STRATEGY!" Xane shouted, "Their appearance doesn't nessarilly mean water will hurt them,"
The volcano had exploded, the perfect advantage for the lava creatures. Now those they had entrapped, the crimson dragons, came out and caused horror on the battlefield. Shakran called one of them to him and took off upon its back and ordered them to go and burn everything in sight. This battle needed to end fast and so he made the magicians cause lava to spew out of the ground and turned the battlefield into a wasteland and gave the lava creatures even more armour upon them.
"The Star Saber slays the creators of the universe like chainsaw through butter, dragons are no matter." Leon calmly spoke. Using mind communication with his Cybertronian allies, he took off into the sky and equipped both Nightjet and Firestorm with an array of Fuel Gel and Arctic Missiles.
"Let's see how well you beasts do against the descendants of the creators." Leon challenged.
A dragon dived for the cybernetic warrior, attempting to snap him in two with its dripping jaws. However, it met an icy fate as Leon blasted him with the Arctic Missiles, transforming it into a giant ice cube and sending it crashing into the ground.
Just like battling Ridley back in old training days. He thought, amused by the fact.
Jessi balanced herself on a large rock that seemed to float on the lava.
"You have no clue, what you just did!" She flipped herself in the air and the rock took out a few Lava Creatures before she landed back on it.
She shot fire balls at the dragon-like creatures in the air, and took out almost half of them with much effort.
She sighed, she lost so much power simply taking them out alone. "Just back off! What do you even have against Hyrule?!" She screamed in rage, they had a low chance of even making it out of this alive, let alone win.
"Thanks for the save." Jessi watched the remains of the rock sink into the lava. "Oh, Terra went to get Hyrule's help with this... But looks like she didn't get too far." She pointed in the distance to Terra on a rock floating in the air while splattering rocks into the Lava Creature's heads.
Jessi helped out by blasting the rocks with fire, giving them a power up. Terra looked up in confusion, then waved to Jessi and Xane.
"Glad to see you're both alright!" Jessi could barely hear her over the sounds of the battle below.
Suddenly the lava creatures piled out.
"But they were beating us so easily," Xane said curious, "All we have to do is get enough water and we can turn this all into land..." Â Then Xane looked around. Â They weren't far from the coast, but that was the thing. Â There was no ocean visible. Â Xane flew off to see if there was any ocean left at all with Jessi still in tow.Â
"Wait!" Jessi wriggled loose of Xane's talons and landed on Terra's rock. Okay... Not the best idea ever.. She thought, getting up.
"Nice of you to drop in." Terra mumbled, somehow still concentrating enough to balance the rock.
"Sorry, but I've got an idea. If the Keyblade can shoot out elements, then it can drain Hyrule of all this lava, too! Or at least... most of it..."
"Go for it! And hurry! I don't know how long I can balance this rock in the air."
"Alright, here goes nothing..." Squirrel dropped the red rock into the lava, and watched it sink in before holding the Keyblade up, and concentrated on the red rock and the lava, the lava could be sucked into the Keyblade, and give her a power up all the while.
Squirrel took a deep breath, and closed her eyes as some of the lava began filing into the Keyblade, not as much as she hoped, though.
...after she opened her eyes, there was still a fairly big amount of lava on the ground, and she hoped Xane had a plan to get rid of the rest.
Leon gave pursuit, but he knew he had to assure his homeland was free from danger.
"Alright guys, let's freeze this lava." He ordered as he raised the gun attachments. There was something familiar about his attackers-something his father had told him about....
Many years ago....
Wow dad, you encountered magma creatures? During an excavation operation?
Yes, my son. It was surprising-the field team was surprised that something could actually live in that inferno without getting smelted into slime without the proper equipment. The encounter wasn't friendly, either-unfortunately.
Tell me more!
Alright, alright. We were about to transport some of the lava in special containers back to HQ-the extreme heat of this kind meant that the potential chance of massive energy to supply to our world was limitless. However, as we were about to make our move-well, our thermal suits were already low on power, so we had to leave-those hellish lifeforms bursted from the crater and began to advance at us. We weren't sure of what they were doing, but...we knew they were not friendly.
Why not?
Beats me, son. I'm no psychic. But anyways, just as one of my colleagues was about to communicate to them, the things fired a huge blob of magma from their arms-and melted the poor sap in seconds. His screams still ring in my heads on sleepless nights.
Oh wow...but didn't you have soldiers protecting your team?
Yes, we did. But...bullets and bombs don't even scratch these things. I'll bet in my mind, they were laughing like someone overrided their laughing glands. Moving on, the soldiers attempted to cover our retreat, but met the same fate as my friend. They stood no chance. I managed to get out with a serious burn to my leg...but along with another folk who had been traumatized incident, we were the only survivors.
Xane continued flying. Â The ocean is gone! Â They turned it all into land and lava! Â That's too much power for one being.
Xane turned around and flew back.  "I think I might have an idea,"  Xane said, "I can create a huge energy burst to blast the lava into space, but I'd need a lot of energy,"Â
Jessi sighed. "I can give you as much energy as you need." She flipped the Keyblade in her hands. "But it'll sacrifice two of my power ups for the Keyblade. But if it means saving Hyrule, I'm willing to do it."
I've only got... Jessi tried to count them quickly. Water, Ice, Fire, Lava... Wind, Earth... Light and Darkness.
"Will Lava and Earth work, Xane?"
"Quickly!" Terra warned, the rock began shaking. "Jump, Jessi!" Terra dropped the rock they were standing on, and quickly created another one, which they both jumped onto. "I still can't hold this forever, hurry up."
Xane accepted the two upgrades with a frown. Â He didn't like taking from others. Â Suddenly he realized this was too much energy, but it was too late. Â Suddenly everything on the face of the earth was scattered into space, even Xane couldn't fight the energy he had released. Â He managed to hang onto Axodus and Jessi as they were hurled out of the now non-existent atmosphere. Â They were about implode until, with the spare energy Xane put a bubble of oxygen around them and got it to a normal pressure. Â
.Â
Xane, Jessi, and Axodus were drifting into a dense asteroid field. Â He saw Leon in his power suit pretty close to them, which was surprising because he couldn't aim the energy blast. Â He tryed to yell, "Over here!" but the energy bubble wouldn't let his voice out. Â The bubble started drifting toward a large asteroid that apparently had a small gravity. Â In about 15 minutes they landed. Â They still didn't have oxygen or pressure, so the bubble stayed put.
"This sucks," Â Xane whispered, the bubble echoing it all around like a creepy, narrow hallway.Â
The Star Saber divided into 3 pieces once again. Wow. Those creatures had more destructive potential than we could actually imagine... Runway muttered.
"Not surprised. If they could stand up against the best fighters of Hyrule, then they're definitely something." Leon crossed his arms. "Where are we anyways?"
Looks like we're in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Sonar answered him. How we got here...that beats me.
Survival in space for Leon was no problem-designed to survive in the most harsh environments known to humans, he could literally live, fight and sleep anywhere. He stepped out of the bubble-since he was mostly machine instead of human, oxygen wasn't necessary.
The Cybertronians followed him, along with the massive sentient mechanical suit. Wow. Ain't this pretty. Jetstorm asked as he looked at the stars.
"Yeah." Leon muttered. "Now we just have to find out where we are."
"Thank you," Xane said putting on a oxygen suit. He stepped out onto the asteroid they had landed on. It was quite odd, the asteroid was lime green in color and really stood out in the middle of all this black and brown.
"What is it?" Xane said, the brightness causing him to squint.
The description made by Xane caught Leon' attention. The words "Lime green" flashed in his mind...
Can it be? A Tiberium Asteroid? Leon questioned in his head. Could it be what they were looking for-the alien's resource?
It was also a bad omen also-if they were exposed to the meteor for too long, a mutation would occur...
