[QUOTE="Jbul"]Fine, tone down MCOMM and building structure damage, but hitting a tank with Mortar isn't easy to begin with. It requires the tank to stay still for a good 10 seconds in the first place, and this "rebalance" isn't doing the class any favors. Trust me, Recon advances slowest of all classes BY FAR already. I would know, it's my favorite.

Recon and Assault definitely progress the slowest. The one thing that I like is they are giving the Recon guys a third Motion Mine. You guys don't use those things enough.:P

As for the rifles themselves, I personally think the GOL is the best bolt action one and the SVU is the best semi-auto. If you use either of them with a 4X scope, you can still hang back and snipe, but you can also get in close, and you can definitely one shot kill dudes with the GOL at close to mid range. Anything from the ribcage or higher with that gun at mid range is a one hit kill when I use it with the 4X.

rifles + 4x is the way I play recon and yeah use those damn motion mines. Really wish hardcore mode had a mini-map as motion mines are pretty much useless in that mode

lol. I thought DICE with its vast multiplayer experience would be more smart about "rebalancing" stuff. I hate this new trend in games where devs keeping****ing with the game after release. That's what betas are for. if you didnt get something fixed or balanced even after a six omnth public beta then maybe it doesnt need fixing. ****ing stop listening to people on your boards (which btw represent only a small fraction of the total userbase) and stand behind your product. Nerfing weapons can have chain reactions that lead to even more imbalances. KZ2, Uncharted 2, MAG have all suffered from this, and they have effectively ended up broken.

****ing stand behind your product, DICE.

:P Sometimes things need to be changed though. They are making a lot of great changes. The tracer gun didn't work right before, the M60 was too overpowered, and the LMGs were too accurate when running around. The mortar needed to be toned down, the shotguns are too accurate and deadly at a long distance with slugs, etc, etc. Even though I use it a ton, the Carl Gustav rocket did need to be nerfed a bit, and the engineer tool needed to be sped up. I'm glad DICE is paying attention.

The weapon unlocks were too slow in the beta, and all but nonexistent in the demo. I played that beta more than anyone I know, and I only managed to unlock all of the weapons for the Medic, and I got about 75% of the way with the Engineer. The other two cIasses lagged far behind for me. We didn't really get to check out every weapon, so balancing issues were hard to see at that point. There were a lot of things in the beta that were fixed. In the beta you could trigger C4 laid down in a previous life after respawning, which meant that it was a matter of just going in and laying C4 on an MCOM and triggering it until it blew up, regardless of whether you died setting it or not. It also only took six C4 bricks to blow an MCOM, so you could really abuse it.

in the beta, you can also jump to the UAV and have someone fly it. lol.

also, you can stick C4's to the UAV and fly it to the MCOMs or to a tank and blow the whole thing up. pretty crazy.

I think I've played with you, or against you before rodalt. Your PSN name is familiar. ...anyway, I had the worst round I've ever played last night. We were attacking on Laguna Presa, and my buddy and I were the only ones trying to attack. I had 16 kills and 34 deaths. I haven't sworn at the TV that much in a long time.:P
