As opposed to catering to sexist heterosexual males ad nauseam?  The lack of diversity in games is beyond unimaginative and tedious.  Game developers need to catch up with the rest of the civilized world.  I really like the MGS series, but I'm disappointed by this news, if accurate, as I thought Kojima was more enlightened than the typical Japanese male when it comes to such issues, particularly given the subtle undercurrent of homoeroticism in previous MGS games.  It will be interesting to see if all of the characters are more erotic, or just the women.  Gamers are more diverse than game developers.

I'm okay with this so long as it applies to the men as well.

I wasn't using heterosexual as a derogatory term, I don't know how you got that take on it.  I'm simply talking about not excluding gay issues from games, that's quite different from placing an emphasis on them.  

It's obviously not your issue if you're not a gay gamer, but it is for those of us who are.  I don't mind the sophomoric sexist images that dominate games for those who find such images appealing, it's the absence of any alternatives that I find most objectionable.  I don't really understand what you take issue with if you really do support gay rights.  

As for Kojima, I made that comment relative to the deeply embedded sexism in Japanese society.  I had always thought that he was more enlightened than that, and I will have to wait and see the finished product before I re-assess that thought.  Otherwise, what gay characters and gay romances have been featured in the MGS series up to this point?

That is ridiculous because I play games to have fun, not for the sexual content! The pictures show that the female characters in these games are only there to add titillation to the game for horny teenage boys. Also, how can anyone find a bunch of pixels to be erotic!?
