Well thats it at least there were few things I want Infamous 2 and Twisted metal.
As usual a few things I want on each platform, though Nintendo had the most games of interest to me this year and MS the least bah. Sony fell inbetween with at least afew good games.
And that's a wrap, folks.
Kind of odd having Twisted Metal being the closing game. It didn't even look that great. :?
Dutch_Mix
It came after GT5 :P give it a break!
No game looks good after GT5
I really liked the Infamous demo, but Infamous 2 failed to impress, for some reason. Never played Twisted Metal, but this world could definitely use a car combat game. I'm interested.
BS held to a minimum, a few good surprises, and the move demos they showed actually looked kind of interesting.
Better conference than MS' definitely from what I catched. Lacked real system sellers for me but at least held the BS to a minimum.inoperativeRS
Yeah, I was hoping Sony would maybe sell me on a PS3, but that didn't happen. Looks like that'll be up to Rockstar.
Overall, it was better than Microsoft's and Ubisoft's, but that's not saying much. Motion controls still suck hard, but they showed some solid games. Portal 2 was a big announcement, but they should've showed more of it. This was just a teaser.
EA had the best conference, I'd say - and even that one wasn't that great. I expected big things this year, but it's been really weak so far.
So steam is coming to PS3 and 360? Hmmm....

I don't think it's coming to 360 and it still remains to be seen in what form will it be on PS3.

Their biggest driving force wasn't the games. It was the loyal fans... yeah whatever that meant.
We don't buy games blindly. We just wanna have a good time Sony :P Thanks for thinking so little of us.

There's no way we'll be able to play our Steam games on the PS3, right? I'm sure it's just features like saves, etc., maybe allowed to play certain multi-platform games on the PC and PS3. I doubt we'll be able to play Left 4 Dead 2 and all its mods on the PS3, for example. No Last Guardian, fail.dvader654pretty much. that was my most anticipated game of all of e3. atleast twisted metal looked good and the portal 2 port might work.

It'll probably work the same way that Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live work. One account, two platforms.

Overall I found all three to be very good. Going from a list of how many games each conference showed that truly intrigued me MS wins just by having Reach. That and DKC are honestly the only games that I remember clearly when I think back on the conferences. However they also had the most BS and neglected so many good games like Crackdown 2 that I really can't say I personally liked the show at all. Sony's and Nintendo's were much easier to watch since I did feel like they were at least kind of aimed at me. I did expect Reach and Diablo 3 to be the only games I would care about beforehand though so it was kind of expected that I'd be disappointed in the conferences.
I was not impressed.
3D gaming; I just plunked down the cash for a hi-def TV last year, I'm not picking up a new TV already. 3D=pass.
Move: Didn't care about it when it was announced, and nothing revealed changed my stance. Move=pass
LBP2: The first was stylish and creative...and I couldn't get into it. LBP2=pass
FFXIV: Ugh....pass
GT5: about time it gets released, but racers aren't my thing. GT5=pass
COD: DICE is handling the MP, so I'm actually mildly intrigued. COD: maybe
Twisted Metal: Never cared for the series. Pass
Anything regarding the PSP= pass
And where the hell was The Last Guardian, Sony?
I dunno, I think Sony's conference was rather dull.

So what's the purpose of it? Maybe to share saves, friends lists, and purchasing games? It doesn't sound like too big of a deal, other than Portal 2.From Kotaku:
Valve's Gabe Newell appeared at Sony's E3 press conference to say Steam is coming to the PlayStation Network, andPortal 2will be available for the PS3 on the same day it releases for Xbox 360 and PC.
CORRECTION:Portal 2 will be "Steamworks enabled," which includes community support features, such as chat. It will not accommodate cross-platform play.
I wasn't the only one that noticed Gabe didn't say the "E" word.

Which is pretty pointless since we're talking about a Valve game. A 5 year old computer will still have a better version. No he didn't say the E word. He said it will be best on PS3.

Well, doesn't matter to me either way. It's common knowledge that Valve games should be played on PC. I was just excited about seeing Portal 2.
[QUOTE="gamingqueen"]What does that mean to you?No he didn't say the E word. He said it will be best on PS3.

Clearing up the confusion because I know "exlusive" has been said many times.
It means I'm trying to help? Is this what I get?
No he didn't say the E word. He said it will be best on PS3.gamingqueen
Actually, he said it'll be the best version on any console.
And on a Mac. ;) Mac gaming died in the year 2000.[QUOTE="UpInFlames"] It's common knowledge that Valve games should be played on PC.
