^ Such an underrated couple of games. It gives such fan-service, and is a fun little hack-n-slash RPG.

You can play that game 100 times and it still won't get boring
Indeed.

That's not how you spell Metroid Prime with a 2.I finished up Fire Emblem the Sacred Stones recently and played through Mega Man 2 again to relive the memories lol. Â Now I'm playing Fire Emblem Awakening and thinking about replaying Castlevania Symphony of the Night.

That's good. Especially since my GC card shorted out.Recently went back to play Final Fantasy 9, since I actually hadn't played it yet. So far, finding it rather enjoyable, although I'm still very much at the beginning.
I'm playing Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers. It is technically not legacy since I'm on the 3DS but it's a remake of an old Saturn game so I'm counting it. This is the first release in English but it sounds like it's very true to the original. In any case, great RPG. I am actually not familiar w/ the series so I can't compare but if the rest of 'em are this good, I'm excited to get to more.
Jak and Daxter.
Pretty unimpressed so far as it's just so unrefined.
The double jump only sometimes works, you may or may not grab the edge of a platform you're aiming for, the camera requires constant adjustment and when it becomes fixed the perspective is hard to judge. The tumble-jump is a stupid idea that is badly-implemented, most platforms have decorative lumpy sides that interrupt with your jumping/landing, the lack of level checkpoints have you dying to the same enemies over and over before you've even reached the jump you initially missed which sent you back.
It feels a lot more than just one year older than Ratchet & Clank 1.
Nice graphics, setting, voices and characters, but that's not enough to raise it above 'disappointing'.

Despite all this, the more i play the more i look forward to Jak 2. Because all these little issues will hopefully have been fixed for the sequel.
Or i'll be even more disappointed. One or the other. :D
Still playing Jak1, averaging a-world-an-evening. The flaws aren't enough to put me off as i'm still having fun in between the frequent misjudged-jump deaths. Though it's cushion-pounding frustrating from time to time.
I tried to play Two Worlds today. I have never played a game that was so large and in-depth, yet so terribly bad at the same time.
I've heard the same, though I've also heard they improved it ALOT in the second game.I tried to play Two Worlds today. I have never played a game that was so large and in-depth, yet so terribly bad at the same time.

Well, I'm not wasting any of my money on a sequel after how bad the first one was. Unless I get it for free.

Fair enough. But you should at least check Angry Joe's review of TW2. He's played both and says what's improved, maybe it might convince you to give it a chance.I've heard the same, though I've also heard they improved it ALOT in the second game.[QUOTE="Dudersaper"][QUOTE="Emerald_Warrior"]

No, the Sequel improves the gameplay and kills everything else while the first game had the world but bad gameplay, bad writing, bad everything... They are opposite issues. Equally bad in comparison.Just fired-up "The Thing", and have "Rogue Trooper" on backup for if i decide i'm not in the mood for the former after some play-time.
lol I actually enjoyed that game but I rage quit it when trying to get 100% of the map unlockedI tried to play Two Worlds today. I have never played a game that was so large and in-depth, yet so terribly bad at the same time.

Switching between a lot of games right now, I generally just play whatever I feel like. Here are some of the recent ones:
Putting my time into Parasite Eve II, Front Mission 3, Final Fantasy VI, and Policenauts (Saturn version)
Better, put your time into the $200 you paid for those lol.Putting my time into Parasite Eve II, Front Mission 3, Final Fantasy VI, and Policenauts (Saturn version)

Oh dear lord. The game is genius, yet fking terrible. I loved the world, every little bit of the world was great. If the devs would have fixed the glitches, uneven difficulty, horrible dialogue, and just overall shoddy game mechanics it would have been wonderful.I tried to play Two Worlds today. So in other words, if they made a completely different game it would have been good.

A different game set in the same world would be great. Yes.Tak and the Power of Juju.
I'm quite enjoying it, it has a few minor niggles regarding respawning and weapon switching. But it's providing more pleasure for me than Jak & Daxter did. Surprised it's not mentioned more often as one of PS2's better platformers.
I'm playing Xenosaga Episode 1 (JP) for the PS2. It's my first time ever playing it. I really like the way there are different story threads and different interests in play in the story.
However, playing it has reminded me that some aspects of games don't age well. Most notably save structure. Wow, to think there were times when we would keep playing a game just to save our progress! The navigation is also a little weak (not helped much by a mini-map that is basically just decoration at this point). The game is very rough-around-the-edges (including the menu design) and the aesthetic of the game is...off; most of the characters look weird (like anime gone too far) or invoke the wrong kind of response.
The battle system on the other hand, love it or hate it, is truly intriguing. The depth there and the range of strategies is really quite interesting. I'm around 20 or so hours in now. Enjoying it, but not loving it. It will tide me over at least until my the 3 PS2 imports I got ordered arrive in a few days (and I can hardly wait!).
Panzer Dragoon Saga. I'm on the second disc, and I have to say I'm starting to understand why so many people like it. The game doesn't waste your time at all, meaning the battle system is quick and not complicated, and you don't have to grind if you don't want to. All the npc's have voice acting too which is really impressive for a game that came out in 1998. The game feels pretty modern, and as someone that doesn't like jrpgs for the most part, I'm enjoying playing panzer dragoon saga.

It's like the developers took a trip into the future, and tried to build a modern JRPG game on a 5th generation console, with none of the issues that have plagued JRPGs to this day.
Fully 3D, unique, fun battle system, fully voice acted, fully cinematic, a sweet spot of 15 - 20 hours of a length, no grinding needed, intuitive and fluid controls (apart from the walking controls)...
