dead rising when hes on the tank screaming, quake 4 where they just call you for another mission and you hear the stupid laugh, condemned biggest cliffhanger ever, bioshock I was hoping for a twist like hoow atlas was evil but it was way too predictable how the little sisters got him
greatest endings:call of duty 1 (only really COD fans own the first game) where the russian tells his side of the story after they put up the flag was very heartwarming, Half Life 2 Episode 2 one of the most creepiest and saddest endings made it amazing how much you cared for Eli

I asked for CoD for my birthday like 3 years ago and never got it
[QUOTE="suzukigsxr"][QUOTE="MrLions"]Dead Rising :? the true oneJuggernaut140
yeah that one was pretty gay [Spoiler Alert] You go through all of that crap just to have your helicopter pilot die and you are stuck in the mall. It made the hole premise of that game (the premise being you have to get the scoop in 72 hours and be on the roof to get away) totally stupid and thrown away.
another ending i thought was bad was the ending to Lost Planet. [Spoiler Alert] You kill the bad guy then loose your memory so its like nothing ever happened. WTF!!
Did you play Overtime mode? Cuz that's not the full ending d00d
no i didn't play overtime cause those special forces guys were bastards and killed me constantly so i gave up. I just figured the original poster meant the best ending through the 72 hour mode cause there were like 6 different endings. my bad if i confused anybody
One of my favorite endings was Mass Effect. The final 3 hours of that game are so fast paced and so much fun that I didn't want it to end but the way that it ended made me super excited for the sequel. I can't wait to kill those reapers

Yeah, those spec ops guys were jerks. The key is to use disembowel, small chainsaws and the shotgun on them. You should try to be level 50 before you get there. Do you want to know the real ending?
yeh cod1 had a great ending and ending mission better than cod4s endingdead rising when hes on the tank screaming, quake 4 where they just call you for another mission and you hear the stupid laugh, condemned biggest cliffhanger ever, bioshock I was hoping for a twist like hoow atlas was evil but it was way too predictable how the little sisters got him

Crackdown. I can't remember it exactly... but I think after all the trouble you went through, in the end the narrator does this evil laugh and tells you it was all a test of your skills or something, and none of it was real. It's like watching a movie, and in the end the guy wakes up, "it was all a dream." ag1002
Actually what he explains is that "The Agency" created all of the gangs and funded them through other sources. "The Agency's" hope was that the people of the city would realize that without the agency around to protect them they would have all been doomed to a world of violence and destruction. So basically "The Agency" were the real bad guys.
All of you complaining about the recent trend of cliffhanger endings are kind of stupid. Everyone knew that mass effect and assassin's creed were going to be trilogies, so it's pretty dumb to expect them to you a perfect sense of closure. The first game/movie in a trilogy is SUPPOSED to be setup.
As for stand-alone games, I loved Bioshock, but the endings sucked and the last boss fight was pathetic.
Some really bad endings I can think of:
-Entire Soul Reaver Franchise. The first left you in the time portal chasing Kain. The second leaves you with Kain in some kind of paradox equivalent. Made no sense. Things did wrap up, but still.
-Shenmue 2 has got to be HUGE. Your left with this glowing sword and these gigantic phoenix and dragon mirrors. Then Ryu and Shenhua look at each other, and bam, that's it. Credits. No Shenmue 3 to wrap up this saga.
I was wondering what you guys think is the worst ending to a game ever. My pick would be Clive Barker's Jericho.grunt1096
man im suprised u even finished it. i played 3 mins in and i quite

For some reason I started to like the game, and ended up finishing.
Gears of War making no sence in the ending plus the beginning. I guess that book is going to explain that to us..? Gears as a Story isn't great at all imo.canadiankidd91
didn't u see the intro movie? bad stuff comes out of the ground and we're the bad ass guys that have to blow it up! cool story! haha
Wow im surprised nobody has said this but KOTOR2! With no word of a 3rd one yet!
And somebody barely brought this up but Shenmue 2 with also no word of a 3rd one!
well for a xbox game idk about you guys but Jade Empire, it was basically just a wall of text at the end and i loved playing the game
360 game well i would agree with the rest of you crackdown was bad all i get is a laugh and yay you helped our evil plan...
Worst ending? Um...I guess Assassin's Creed. It wasn't even a clever cliffhanger, it just kind of ended.
Best ending is Metal Gear Solid 3. OMG what an amazing game. The ending of that game got me so close to crying.
Tetris.
I can't really think of a proper one, but the final area on the Wii Version of Call Of Duty 3 is so badly polished, it should've ended with you snapping the disc. The more people there were on screen, the laggier your Wii remote reticle was. In some areas (like the ending) your reticle would shift once every two seconds or so.
on the 360:rainbow six vegas , dont get me wrongi love this game i gave it a 9.3 but the ending was bad cant wait till rainbow six vega2 , ever:god of war 2 ,again i love this game but the ending was just horrible
Halo 3 was not good. AC had a sudden ending, but then you could search all the emails on the pc and learn about the sequels to come... so it wasn't so bad.Phazevariance
most ppl probably didnt read em...it still say AC and Halo3

Eternal Sonata.
I loved the game, but the ending didn't make any sense at all and was a huge huge let down.
