Quality over quantity. SSB4 and Mario Kart 8 are too incredible to be equivalated to the PS4 and Xbone.
I would have voted for PC, but it isn't included. So, I chose XB1 and was oddly surprised to see the poll results lol.
Its a guess number , are they really 11 ? Now are 12 ! Now , back to original argument , can you deny those facts or not ?
I'll just put it like this: if facts were furniture, your room would look like this:
Hahaha ! You still dont want to talk about it right ? Ok ok , we get it ! Have a nice day
So you're asking him to prove your OPINIONS wrong? Do you really think you saying "X game for X console is shit or this lineup for that console is shit" is a fact? I what world would that be considered a fact? Bizarro world maybe but in this one. Stop trying to pass off your opinions as fact or you'll end up another El Tormented
Hahaha , epic troller number 2 ! Im saying , go to Gamespot.com , go to Wii U sector and press top rated ! You are supposed to see 10 of the top rated games of 2015 . All you see are only 5 games supposedly the top rated and out of those 3 having low scores ! Then this guy calling a PS4/X1 exclusives a joke and calling that fact im stating as opinion ! How is this an opinion ?! lol !! I imagine things or what ?
Damn , i cant win vs a sheep AND a lem at the same time !! You win guys! haha! Goodnight!

PC isnt a "system".
Its a platform in which your access to its game library is limited/affected by the components of your unique setup, in a sea of millions of diferent setups that offer various degrees of performances. Its not even sepparated by traditionally full cycled generations, with all its competing hardware companies constantly releasing new gfx cards, cpu's, etc... whenever they feel like it.
Thats the issue with PC gaming. There are too many components released way too fast. Slim it down and make the hardware more optimized for a slimmer selection of low, mid and high end components. Unify the fucking ecosystem into 3 tiers of power to at least try and achieve parity between as much people as possible.
As it is its a fucking mess of whatever goes.

This can also be contributed to poor optimization from developers. GTAV is a solid example of good work. I've seen that game be played across all kinds of system builds. From integrated graphics to enthusiast builds.

The mess of whatever goes is what makes it so great.
Its also what makes it uninviting.
Its also what ensures that none of your components are being fully utilized because there is no fucking way companies can realistically cater to so many random setups. Open platforms have their pros in that you can build something to your liking. But that is also a very segmenting approach that force companies to try and compromise with one-size-fits-all software. Which means people have to be informed in order to fully enjoy what they have. Well to fully enjoy what they have to the extent that the generalistic, non-specific software allows.
It creates way too much disparity between individual user experiences and is an absolute chore for those who want to simply turn on a machine to play a game and know they are getting the best experience the developer could provide for their hardware.
This can also be contributed to poor optimization from developers. GTAV is a solid example of good work. I've seen that game be played across all kinds of system builds. From integrated graphics to enthusiast builds.
It absolutely is mostly due to poor optimization from developers. But can you blame them? The PC space is such a bloated stew of components you cant expect everyone to have the same resources as Rockstar (the company making the most expensive projects ever) to pull off a well optimized game.
PC gaming needs to be standardized. Get rid of more than half of the mobile and desktop components being shat out every year. Create an easy to understand tier of gaming component setups and allow companies to fully explore this limited number of options.
Gamespot, you may have a problem. These results are just silly.
Says the super cow. Is this another case of poll "hacking"? How can a poll of opinions be wrong or silly? Not everyone thinks Sony's lineup is all that great.
It can be wrong when the only way to accept the results as genuine is to underline that your site inexplicably attracts an audience for a dying platform/branding. It means that they may want to make some changes to stimulate the atmosphere so they aren't shuffled out when it comes to relevant gaming media.
Then again, the poll may just be demon-dialed by XBone fanatics. That's pretty wrong as well.
So you're asking him to prove your OPINIONS wrong? Do you really think you saying "X game for X console is shit or this lineup for that console is shit" is a fact? It's an opinion to call them garbage you idiot. It's an opinion to say it's a shit lineup. If I said TLOU is the greatest game ever, I would be stating my opinion. If I said TLOU scored an 8 on GS, I would be stating a fact. The reviewers score is an opinion but stating that it received an 8 is not. See the difference moron? You calling WiiUs lineup garbage is YOUR opinion whether it's supported by 1 person or 1 million, it's still an opinion.
I gathered from your posting history that you're a dumb fanboy but I didn't think you could be this dumb. You just might rival El Tormented in the stupidity department.
These results are terrible.
What Exclusive does Xbox One have that triumphs either WiiU or PS4?
I still say WiiU has the BEST exclusives (cause it does), but one can argue that with PS4 with the likes of Killzone, The Order, Infamous and Bloodborn...but Xbox One? That entire System is filled with Multiplats. Sunset Overdrive maybe cool, but does that beat out Bloodborn or Bayonetta 2?
The Poll is run by trolls.

That's the nature of the beast. And i absolutely disagree with your idea, because it would basically compromise the open ended nature of PC gaming.
Home consoles and desktop PCs have their place, with warts and all.
Lold at poll.
Xbone winning in this poll yet losing hard in sales...
Seems that "superior" gaming library doesn't translate into sales.

Sure, and if it keeps being that way I'm totally fine with it. Consoles exist as an option after all.
But then people shouldnt complain about PC's being seen as a dumping ground or an afterthought by most of the big game publishers. Or complaining that people dont see the obvious advantage of PC gaming and how it can perfectly emulate and surpass the console experience if they just hook up a PC tower on their living room. Nope, that wont happen the way the messy, bloated ecosystem currently operates.
And this shit right here is mostly what keeps the general population away from PC:
Minimum:
CPU: Dual core with HyperThreading technology or quad core CPU (4+ logical cores)
Examples: Intel Core i3 2.8 GHz (3220T) or AMD Phenom II X4 3.2 GHz (945)

How can the way this information is presented be considered consumer friendly? I know what it means but you might as well have it written in moon language for most people. Might as well have "**** off and go play it on your console" written in bold letters instead of all that technical crap.
This is just about the most uninviting product requirement system I've seen unleashed to the general population. I've seen it so many times now, gamers who have been playing on consoles finally get a good PC and as soon as they think about buying a game, they find this hilariously deterring wall of nonsense on the back of the box or online.
Thats what I mean about having some sort of standardization. It is unnecceptable to me that the PC part of this mainstream form of entertainment still has not found a way to simplify the process of knowing what you are buying and how it will run. If it will run at all. Again, there is too much shit out there. Too many components and too many variables for way too many possible setups, for anyone who just wants to pick up a controller and play to deal with.
You disagree?

You disagree?
That's what i call exhausting yourself with info. you don't necessarily need outside vital stuff that people who aren't, bluntly put, idiots should know about. I call them idiots because with anything new in life, you gotta do your research. If you jump in something new without prior knowledge and you expect to be good at it, then who's fault is it?
Some people can cope with it because they're enthusiastic with their hobby and like to digest every bit of information on how to max out their gaming performance, and some can't. There's nothing wrong with that. That's why you have a choice to stick with the basic stuff. Ex. i need a desktop PC for gaming. I walk to my local PC shop and i ask for recommendations based on what i want to play (low end stuff, high end stuff). Simple. What happens after that is my call, i wanted to jump in. I sure as **** am not letting my hard earned money go to waste. because i know what i was jumping in because of prior knowledge.
I can't really disagree with your logic, you got a fair point. Never gonna agree with it tho, not totally.
I would have voted for PC, but it isn't included. So, I chose XB1 and was oddly surprised to see the poll results lol.

Hmmm, I think i'm being harsh when i said "poorly constructed argument against modern business". Sorry man I haven't had my morning coffee so I'm a little scratchy this morning haha. Didn't mean to come across as a douche.
Anyway my stance is that it's not as much a mess of components being released, it's a group of competing businesses in there own smaller sectors of the computer component business (RAM, CPU, Motherboard etc.) all competing for your business.
What it appears you are asking of the competing company's with the comment "Slim it down and make the hardware more optimized for a slimmer selection of low, mid and high end components" is that they all reduce the number of products and potentially give up an advantage they may have over a competitor. That probably will never happen, nor should it necessarily. Most of these companies already have hardware cycles and generations anyway, Nvidia and AMD are around 6 Months 'ish for new and refreshed cards.
As far as I can see it, (AMD and NVidia are great a great example of this).
Say company X has 3 products (a,b,c) a - $100, b - $200, c - $300 and they are more powerful as the cost goes up. But company Y has released a new product with a better architecture (still works within it's parameters with all other hardware), but prices like this e - $80, f - $120, g - $180, h - $250, i - $320. The difference here being that 'e' is better than 'a' and cheaper. 'f' is a bit less powerful than 'b' but a lot cheaper, 'g' is more powerful than 'b' but a little cheaper, 'h' is cheaper than 'c' and more powerful and 'i' is say 40% more powerful than 'c'. Most people would then look at these products and go "that's a better deal than going with company X's products". Company X now might get some better market share and be able to try and keep the "lead" by running with the development of there new architecture, ultimately keeping the lead or losing it to someone else. But to reduce the selection of potentially faster and a wider selection of components is not healthy for the rest of the PC sector, not everyone games so not everyone needs top end or mid tier hardware. A software developer may find that they need a little bit extra "oomph" than what onboard graphics can muster and thus recommends the bottom end modern graphics cards. But you can imagine the range of possibilities and capabilities that are able to be achieved with a wide selection of hardware.
You're other comment being "Unify the fucking ecosystem into 3 tiers of power to at least try and achieve parity between as much people as possible." has already been in play for as long as I can remember with these components. For some modern examples:
CPU: Entry level = i3, Mid Tier = i5, Enthusiast = i7
RAM: Entry level = Say 4-8GB, Mid Tier = 8-16GB, Enthusiast = 16GB+ (pretty dumbed down I know)
GPU: Entry level = AMD 360/370, Nvidia 960, Mid Tier = AMD 380/390, Nvidia 970, Enthusiast = AMD 390/Fury, Nvidia = 980/Titans.
Motherboards: Entry Level = Basic chipset with minimal expansion slots, and built in stuff like wifi, cooling etc.
Mid Tier - Chipset with more expansion (ie. Crossfire ready or SLI ready), lots of Sata and USB3.0 ports etc.
Enthusiast - Fastest chipsets with 4x Crossfire or SLI support, and plenty of other hardware candy.
Hard Drives: Entry Level = 7200rpm drives, Mid Tier = 10,000 rpm raptor drives or cheap SSD's Enthusiast = Top end SSD's or drives RAID even (does anyone use SCSI any more?).
The only difference to your comment and the example above is that there are also tier's within these tiers, ie there are more than one core i5, there are many different size hard drives, there are different speed (and types) of RAM etc.
I would not call what is released at the moment a "mess" and it's certainly a more healthy and competitive market than what consoles have provided. I mean if hardware manufacturer's only catered to consoles and released every 7 or so years, we probably wouldn't have the range and competition that is driving these advancements.
I would have voted for PC, but it isn't included. So, I chose XB1 and was oddly surprised to see the poll results lol.
That's the nature of the beast. And i absolutely disagree with your idea, because it would basically compromise the open ended nature of PC gaming.
Home consoles and desktop PCs have their place, with warts and all.
Memory: 4 GB RAM
GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 1 GB video RAM
Examples: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 or AMD Radeon HD 7770
OS: 64 bit Windows (Vista, 7, 8)
HDD: 26GB
Recommended:
CPU: Quad Core or Six Core CPU (6+ logical cores)
Examples: Intel Core i5 3.3 GHz (2500k) or AMD FX-6350 3.9 GHz
Memory: 8 GB RAM
GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB video RAM
Examples: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660Ti or AMD Radeon 260x or 7850
OS: 64 bit Windows (Vista, 7, 8)
HD: 26GB
Recommended for best experience and for those with 4k monitors:
CPU: Quad Core or Eight Core CPU (8+ logical cores)
Examples: Intel Core i7 3.5 GHz (2700k) or AMD FX-8350 4.0 GHz
Memory: 8 GB RAM
GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 4 GB video RAM
Examples: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780/ Titan or AMD Radeon 290x
OS: 64 bit Windows (Vista, 7, 8)
HD: 26GB
What is this shit? lol
Yeah, look you have picked a bit of a confusing (for some) set of specs there. Certainly if you are comparing it to something that you don't have to know what's in or how it's working (ie. consoles).
I'm not saying that that everyone will not be put off by things like that as clearly some are, but maybe it's similar to how people need to do some research into what they are buying. My first car I didn't just go and buy the first "Red" car in the lot that everyone else had. I did some reading and bought a car that I could afford and do what I wanted it to do. Perhaps the same analogy needs to be applied to building a computer. But hey that is why their are places like this "reddit.com/r/buildapc".
But if you ever work in a technical field you will understand that it's quite difficult to try and say product X is better than product Y as that is often not the case. Product X is better than Y in these cases but not when doing "this". People should be less afraid of learning when it comes to PC.
You are out of point again. Try harder , make a new account and try harder
You're just to dumb to admit you're wrong and have no idea what an opinion VS a fact is.
Been here longer than you kid, no alt accounts needed.
again out of my point ! Cry me a river more ! You must be an idiot of epic caliber if you cant see only 5 games for 2015 in top 10highest rated games in Wii U sector when 3 of them having low scores also ! Calling that an opinion ? lol ! cry more , facts are facts !
Now make a new account !
My fact is not if games are garbage or not ! Is if Wii U has any game to show off in 2015 ! Too low IQ to understand what im saying ? And youre even dumber if you think calling me names and trolling that much will get me mad or something lol ... all you do is exposing yourself and wasting your time lol ( not to say you getting mad yourself for no reason )

Perhaps your dumbass should explain yourself better. Trust me when I say trying to read and comprehend what you write isn't an easy task for anyone.
Wasting time? It's the only reason I come here kid. Time to burn while I'm working. Congrats on reaching El Tormented levels of stupid. That really is a monumental accomplishment.
It's worth remembering anyone arguing for the quality of Wii U exclusives is probably 12 years old (or younger) so don't upset them too much their parents will have hell of a time trying to get them to bed later.

Well that was a poorly constructed argument against modern business.
Care to elaborate?

I mean if hardware manufacturer's only catered to consoles and released every 7 or so years, we probably wouldn't have the range and competition that is driving these advancements.
I am fully aware that my proposition is not realistic at all simply because of how the competitive PC hardware market currently functions. Too many players trying to make as much money as possible, as fast as possible on anything that gets a GPU and CPU. We would need some sort of super influential, powerehouse "entity" to lay down the foundation for a more simply structured business of low, mid and high tier machines, in such a disruptive way that everyone would have no choice but to follow. Not likely to happen.
What I'm saying is that there is way too much information to take into consideration, and no simplified universal language to make all of this more digestible for people not willing to put the effort into learning what everything is called, what is currently the best in its class and subclass and how will that affect his/her experience. And remeber that not wanting to deal with this sort of tech knowledge does not mean that we are talking about casual gamers that buy two games a year when they are bored. There are millions of gamers ready to invest their time and money on games for the long-run, but want the most accessible and convinient method of playing them. Which the PC isnt. In fact, most of the current gaming masses are exactly like that.
Accessibility will ALWAYS win the favor of the market. And seeing that consoles/pcs are just a means to play games, anything outside of playing a game that expects people to put effort into, will be a potentially off-putting roadblock. And you can argue the advantages of learning all of this all day, but the simple fact is that you lost a costumer to a more accessible competing option because of how its currently presented as a product.
The other point I'm also trying to make is that most of what currently frustrates PC gamers is directly or indirectly the result of the non-unified, open nature of the platform They love. You want those poorly optimized ports, dodgy DRM practices, forced console designs and other issues resulting from the after-thought attitude by most big devs to go away? That ecosystem needs to be more contained and PC gaming needs to be a more cohesive and accessible platform.
If PC gamers dont want to let go of the home-made nature of PC hardware to any extent, then I fail to see why they act surprised when the industry doesnt have (and probably doesnt care enough to try to have) a standard working conduct and set of standards to ensure the highest quality across the endless sea of PC setups.
Yeah, look you have picked a bit of a confusing (for some) set of specs there. Certainly if you are comparing it to something that you don't have to know what's in or how it's working (ie. consoles).

You cant demand that of the market. Thats basically saying that the market is wrong. The market is never wrong. If a product is not being percieved as favourably as it should, someone other than the potential costumer fucked up along the way. If they dont care to learn and do research, its because what PC gaming asks of them is not inviting enough to be worth knowing, when a console offers a much more streamlined and easy to understand gateway to videogames instead.
Like I said, PC gaming language and culture in general is a MASSIVE roadblock that polutes the market with too many bulletpoints, explored by too many companies making too much of anything, way too quick. Its nothing but noise for the average consumer.

Yeah I'm hearing you about accessibility being a good thing and there are tools out there to check if you hardware can run a game and how well. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/
Tech knowledge is an advantage but not a requirement, plenty of people take the word of the salesmen when it comes down to what a "powerful" PC is or "Which console is the best" kind of questions, but you don't have to be very tech savy to figure it out. Pretty much every generation of hardware follows the scheme of "a bigger number means faster/better". That's honestly about as simplified as it gets 2 is not as powerful as 5, or for a real world example an Intel i5 is not as powerful as an i7.
I agree to a point that the nature of PC gaming and customisability of the platform does affect quality of ports mostly and very few non-ported games (Console programmers no can code haha *jab*) but not that badly. Look at it this way, you have 2 choices of processors out there, AMD and Intel, they both use the same instruction set X86, that is standardised across not only the PC's but consoles also, it's not a matter of increasing standardisation for this piece of equipment it's already there. Then you have the GPU, AMD and NVidia, both offer their own custom API's and offer support to developers for this, the same as consoles. There already is plenty of standardisation across the industry and has been for quite some time. Probably the biggest rift that is currently out there is the "mantle/Vulcan/DirectX/OpenGL" thing. But again that is across the consoles as well. Hardware is less the problem as it is the software governing it, and that being the people coding it.
Most dev's don't have the attitudes you mentioned that I can tell, there are a few bad ports that happen, and a few "don't give a crap" attitudes but very few when you consider the amount of quality coming to PC, it's inevitable that you get a few bad apples, but again same with console. Look at the latest Witcher 3 patch which reduced the framerate on PS4 for example, or near unplayability of Shadows of Mordor on the 360 and PS3. People cry foul when what is released is below there own expectations of what the game should be and that's fine, quality is subjective. Not only subjective to the consumer but also to the design/publishing house as well. Take the top tier PC games that are in the pipeline for some examples and take some top tier console games that are in the pipeline, they both seem capable of producing awesome products. But take the lower tier developers from both sides and they both seem incapable of producing good products or at best some dodgy ones.
PC gamers don't need to let go of the home made nature of the system as it's been shown to be working for well over 2 decades, longer even. As a counter point to PC having an awkward time having games developed across such a variety of hardware, consoles are not even capable of providing the most basic of backwards compatibility until the most recent generations. Consoles are still catching up on the development process in this regards in my opinion.
Yeah, look you have picked a bit of a confusing (for some) set of specs there. Certainly if you are comparing it to something that you don't have to know what's in or how it's working (ie. consoles).

Nobody's demanding anything of the market? I mean look at the sales of PC's and computers in general it's massive!! It's obviously not that much of a roadblock because it is simplified enough that people can understand that something like i7 is better than i5 or just simple enough in general that most people can understand these things intuitively. I'm sure there are plenty of people who have purchased a console only to find out that the game they really wanted to play wasn't on that particular console or maybe they thought it would play 4k video or something. You seem to be making it a bigger deal than it is.
I'm quite certain that PC gaming language and culture is hardly a "MASSIVE" roadblock to anybody. I doubt that nearly anyone outside of tech culture follows the updates of what RAM, GPU, CPU, etc. is being produced and released regularly or at all. But that still hasn't stopped PC sales from being more than the consoles combined or at least more than any individual console. That as you said yourself is the accessibility of the PC making it successful/favourable in the market. Having choice in what you need is quite an attractive offer as opposed to having 1 choice or 3 choices in consoles.
As far as the language and culture goes like anything if you dive into how something works, you will inevitably start getting into more and more complex jargon. No different to how consoles attract developers or people who are semi tech savy. Just look at PS4 and it's GDDR4, that was splashed all over the place, or the PS3's Cell processor. Those made regular news headlines, but do you think most people actually realised the impact of these pieces of gear? Of course not.
I should explain myself better ? I even made it clear more than 3-4 times till you get it ! You should go check your IQ , i really think youll get in Guiness records ... the human with lowest IQ ever , that is ! At least you will go down in history for something , dont get sad about it
Sorry kid but your English is about as bad as El Tormented's. You were running around claiming opinion as fact. Sorry but you're just as dumb as El Tormented
Ok , as long as you understand my point though its all fine ... Except if with this IQ you having problems to do even that ! Sorry bro , Wii U sector having only 5 games to show off from supposedly top 10 rated ... and 3 of them are the crap ! Its fact , you can go and see it for yourself. And who is El Tormented , your fiance ?
hahaha ! You should do stand up comedy or something ! Youre quite amusing
Once again, you claiming an opinion as a fact. Saying the 3 games are crap is your OPINION stupid. In no way shape or form would that be considered a fact. El Tormented levels of stupid here and that's a fact.
You dummy with low IQ , my point is not the scores themselfs but the fact that there arent any other games for GAMESPOT to show in top rated ... lol ! Wake up Einstein ! Only 5 games , 3 of them with scores of 5-6 and 7 ... in top 10 rated games for entire 2015 ! rofl ... Dont cry , make a third account and try again
