Hey I gotta question. Is it an NFLUPS point to submit a list, or win one?detroitpistons0
Submitting one gets you a point, getting your list picked gets 3 points.

To be honest, I had to flip a coin between the 2 I liked the most. My pick goes to detroitpistons0.
Also, I keep forgetting to change the thread title. I'm bound to forget again, so a reminder from you guys would be appreciated.
Oh and sfgiantsfan, I believe you have my list. :P

No, it's fine. You can have a point anyway, just be more careful in the future.

All right wont happen again, ill check other peoples lists next time, or ill just be the first one to post a list:P
Look's like we'll be using detroitpistons0's list.
Next position: Punters and Kickers, two seperate lists, 4-6 each
One Note: I'm not sure if Morton Andersen is officially retired, but you may use him.
I first would like to apologize for not being active, I just have way to many things going on.
I dont really know many retired kickers or punters so... I just feel like posting some of my favorite players, even though I know those positions are captured.
Quarterback: Steve Young
Halfback: Walter Payton
Wide Reciever: JERRY RICE BAY BAY!
Linebacker: Ray Nitchske was a great Tackler.
And I am so with you Wally on Brett. ;)
Well, I've compiled a couple lists. It took quite a bit of research though.
K
Morten Andersen
Gary Anderson
Jan Stenerud
Lou Groza
Tom Dempsey
Mike Vanderjagt(since he's technically inactive and I couldn't find anybody else worthy of the 6th spot)
P
Sean landeta
Darren Bennett
Ray Guy
Reggie Roby
Don Chandler
Yeah, Punters and kickers are a very hard category, so I'm not surprised that I'm the only one to submit lists. It took me quite a while to find the guys I put down, and beyond that, there was almost literally nobody else.
I think we should just go ahead and move onto the next position:
Wide Receivers, 10 players(no more, no less)
This should be easy for you guys.
WR:
JERRY RICE
Tim Brown
Art Monk
Steve Largent
Isaac Bruce (I'm not sure: Is he still playing? If so, Raymond Berry)
Lance Alworth
Lynn Swan
Cris Carter
Don Hutson
Charley Taylor
Fred Biletnikoff
Jerry Rice
Michael Irvin
Charlie Joiner
Lynn Swann
John Stallworth
Steve Largent
Lance Alworth
Cris Carter
Paul Warfield
Here is my list:
Alright, time's up. I'm bored, so I'm going to run through several points, as all of these lists have something to be said for them.
- While I do like Antonio Freeman as a receiver, I really don't think he belongs on a list of the Ten Greatest WRs. That leaves HT and Ngamer out in the cold.
- Actually, I kind of like seeing Jimmy Smith's name mentioned here. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't he have better career numbers than any WR currently in the HoF? Unfortunately, the lack of both Tim Brown and Cris Carter, not to mention Steve Largent, makes it a bit more difficult topick CommanderShiro's list.
- sfgiantsfan, you're missing Brown, Raymond Berry, and Don Hutson. That puts you in the same boat as CommanderShiro. Good lists, just missing people that want to see on there.
- Yes, Isaac Bruce is still playing. I would have liked to see Michael Irvin, but it's still a very solid list.
Something makes me want to pick CommanderShiro's list. I think it's the fact that he had the gusto to include Jimmy Smith. But I can't do it. He also left off essentials(Carter is a must).
My pick goes to detroitpistons0.
I had Irvin before, but I decided he was a little overrated.detroitpistons0
You better delete that before Espurs sees it:wink:
Ronnie Lott
Paul Krause
Ken Houston
Willie Wood
Jack Christiansen
Larry Wilson
Emlen Tunnell
Yale Lary
Mike Wagner
Jack Tatum
I tried to make my own list last night, but it wouldn't let me post it. Something about a censored word, but I couldn't figure out which one.
So we're left with 2 choices. Either list is fine, but I lean towards Bobbles. Not because of Woodson though. I wouldn't have included him, but I also wouldn't include Wagner or Tatum.
Bah, I guess nobody's paying attention anymore. I'll let Ngamer have it just to move things along.
We need to go with something that will attract interest again, so...
Head Coaches, 8 of them.
All of these lists are good. It's a tough choice, but I think I'm going to lean towards thetombradyhater.
Oh, and thank you for changing the title. I got distracted last night and forgot about it.
