i wonder if theyre gonna make remakes to Fire Red and Leaf Green too, i am so excited for this game.
DEFINATELY getting it. lol
Why would they remake their remake when the it came out pretty recently? (An RS remake will probably come before another RB remake, though I'm doubting either will be soon).i wonder if theyre gonna make remakes to Fire Red and Leaf Green too, i am so excited for this game.
DEFINATELY getting it. lol
ObliviousKnight
This is on the lines of what new features to expect, but I hope that they will do something really cool like add another area to explore
like Hoenn.
Also, I know this won't happen for a lonnnggg time, but when the new generation comes out they should make an easter egg game to go along with it.
Like original R/B/G/S or Y/C. (its just that the pokemon would be untradeable)
I meen cmon those games would not take up much space on a DSI card so I would bet that would be like the funnest easter egg game ever.
You see it happening like NBA Live 2006 gives you the easter egg game NBA live 95.
wah!!

It's only after next Christmas. :/
That's because the character for Shiny Gold is a fan remake of the orginal character for Gold and Silver. :/

Um, Fire Red and Leaf green are already remakes to Red, Blue, and Green. =/
Why remake a remake?
Lol, thats a bit pointless now. Maybe in 10 years....[QUOTE="Hegna1"]

The fact that all DS games play in the DSi for starters
Not sure why you went off on a tirade to worry other users
It's quite possible that Heart Gold and Soul silver don't come to U.S. On top of that, there's the chance that it might be for a newer system rather than the DS, due to it being released here after a newer system. I did say it's most likely playable on a DS, and unless there's some glitch, a DSi, but there is the chance that something weird happens.[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"][QUOTE="Hegna1"]

It's a 100% dead lock that Pokemon Gold and Silver will be a worldwide release. Pokemon is Nintendo's biggest franchise and it's more popular now then it's ever been. Gold and Silver will be released worldwide in all regions.
As far as compatability the game is going to be out this year in Japan, there's no new handheld anytime soon and chances are it'll follow the regular schedule for Pokemon that is.....
Diamond/Pearl Japanese release Sept 26 2006
Diamond/Pearl NA release April 27 2007
Platinum Japanese release Sept 13 2008
Platinum NA release March 22 2009
So since we'll see this next spring at the latest there's no worry about compatibility.

As more as would i like to agree with you, Hegna has a point. Something weird can happen. I mean if some crazy guy explodes Nintendo buildings? If Japan suffer a major storm/earthquake that leaves it destroyed? If some guy find a reason to sue pokemon creators for... i dunno... stealing his idea? Like Hegna said, its weird, and unlikely to happen, specially because its their intention to bring this here, but we can`t read the future, so something unnexpected, even remotely, has a chance to happen. But as its planned, it shall be able to be playable on any DS (unless in the case of some weird glitch) and its expected to come here to the US.[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]

Also if they did make DSi enchantments then they should just make is only for the DSi or make a limited edition of the game.
KurodaMurasaki
If they are going to make DSi enhancements then it would be a DSi-Enhanced game card. A card that plays on all DS systems, but has more features when played on a DSi. Nintendo would lose a lot of money if they made it only for the DSi, since for now the DS Lite owners outnumber the DSi owners by quite a bit.
Even though I would want it, Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver would never be more than enhanced as far as I know. I don't see to many things they could do with the DSi specifically for pokémon.[QUOTE="KurodaMurasaki"]

You know boycotting isn't far off. Not to be offensive to religious people(especially considering i'm religious) but there will always be that catholic priest who thinks pokemon is demonic, thus the name poke"mon". The "mon" standing for monster or demon which is then devil or satan.(also digi"mon", beda"mon" and all those other animes are a good example). Anyways, there use to be a bunch of news stories and cases where children were being possessed by pokemon. So what i'm saying is a boycott could happen any time soon. Thank goodness for the extraction of demonic sublimal messages in pokemon shows or pokemon could have been cut down long ago.[QUOTE="Yoweeh"]

Thank goodness for the extraction of demonic sublimal messages in pokemon shows or pokemon could have been cut down long ago. This will go a bit off-topic but here it goes: Those catholic people were at the pokemon grisp since a long time ago, i will try to find a link that shows some stupid, if not unreasonable reasons that those people find to say that pokemon is evil (i`m not saying this because i like pokemon, i`m saying this because the reasons ARE stupid.) Also children were not being "possessed" by pokemon, my guess its natural that kids wants to play as them being their favorite pokemon, but then one of those catholic dudes saw it and think "OMG, the kid is possessed!!!!11!1!" And then you know what happens. Its the same case when catholic people complained about Dragon Ball Z years ago because it was stimulating kids to personify their characters and fight each other. Of course the fights was just kid play, but people were overreacting.... Then why don`t the church boycott those stuff? Well, i believe they don`t want to lose more people than they`ve been losing lately. If they start to boycott things as pokemon, DBZ, games, animes and lots of "new gen" stuff in general, today youngs will hate the catholic church, and in the future, when the old generation of catholics die and they need to replace with a newer generation (basically the order of life) their numbers will diminish greatly, and the catholic church is already worried about their numbers because of large numbers of people turning into atheism. Its true that they still have a quite large numbers of prayers and devotes, but its not the great % anymore that in older times, covered almost the whole America and Europe. Now they have to dispute with atheism, which is increasing fastly and other religions as well. Freedom of speech is basically ruining their old doutrine. When someone boycott the church years ago, the church would just have his head or brand the person as heretic, and the people accepted that. Now they can`t do it anymore nowadays without having negative repercussions.[QUOTE="Yoweeh"]

Yeah, at the end of the year. They forgot they took it from me but I pestered them enough to get it back from them. The next year i went to public school. =___=;
I got really annoyed about migrating in D/P/Pt since my first pokemon game was diamond. Now I have to trade my butt off to complete the national pokedex. Do you think every pokemon in the heartgold/soulsilver pokedex will be in game? Just trading from heartgold to soulsilver/soulsilver to heartgold to complete the pokedex?

Count on some trading between the two. :/ Just hope you get some friends who will get the other game.I got really annoyed about migrating in D/P/Pt since my first pokemon game was diamond. Wait. So IF HG/SS is a DSi exclusive...would that mean that there will be no migrating? Or will there be migrating for the DS/DSL and another special feature for the DSi? Im getting confused :?

At the most the game would be DSi-Enhanced(and considering what that would allow, they'd better do it). And as far as a glitch disallowing the game from being played on the DSi is concerned, that could easily be fixed in a software update. But considering that Pokemon is a Nintendo franchise and that the DSi is their most recent hardware, I'm sure they'll first test the game on the DSi so there's absolutely no chance of that happening.
i think its tym they gave me orange islands cause i deserve it after all these supporting pokemon years i was hopin prior fire red and leaf green that they would see the light of day but instead they gave mii those lame sevii islands BUDGET i rekon orange islands wod hav made so much more sence. and enough about DSi exclusive it aint happenin nintendo dnt waste money to make less money bak that wod be straight up dumb.
It would be so good if they made a pokemon game that had ALL the pokemon so far as catchable pokemon and you wouldnt need to trade them off a gba game or whatever.
Trading is one of the main points of the pokemon series. You could never catch all the pokemon in one version by itself (not even in the RBY days). Most likely, they'll never make a game like that.It would be so good if they made a pokemon game that had ALL the pokemon so far as catchable pokemon and you wouldnt need to trade them off a gba game or whatever.

FOR THE PEOPLE WHO PLAYED GOLD/SILVER!
Um..does the game's difficulty depend on the starter you pick? I don't want to play HG/SS and beat it in 3 days like I did in platinum -__-
Which starter can I pick so that the game will be not too challenging (don't want to take forever to beat a gym) or too easy (beating the elite 4 the day after I started).

The game is the same no matter what really
It's just about what starter does best in the first gym which doesn't really matter when you can level up a few times with the wild Pokemon you catch
