I think that the most annoying thing about the blue coins is the fact that some of them are episode-specific, so even if you know how many of them there are in each world, you'd have to carefully check every inch of each episode until you find the one you're missing. There are some blue coins which I've found which were annoying to find/get, but nothing too bad yet, although I've already started feeling the annoyance of getting them.Hungry_Homer111The worst blue coin is one involving a gold mushroom. I have no idea how anyone could find that except on accident or by using a guide.
[QUOTE="Haziqonfire"]So I saw my friend playing the Mass Effect 2 demo on his PS3 and I don't know what you're talking about Jayson, I saw zero problems. Jaysonguy
Watch that link
Back when I had an Xbox I loved Mass Effect 1. Unfortunately, now that I just have the PS3 I don't have much of a choice :x
I LOVE HOW THE LAST THREAD ENDED
[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"] I noticed none of this. I'm going to play through it again but this time, finish the demo because i'm not starting as late. roboccs
Yeah it's there
KOTAKU EVEN DID A STORY ON IT
Yeah I see what you mean there. But again, I probably would have never even noticed it until it was pointed out to me by someone else. Those types of little things don't really matter to me that much as long as we're not talking about constant bugs and glitches that hinder the game. [QUOTE="JordanElek"]The ME2 demo is terrible. Why does it make you sit through so much story when it's just a freaking demo that's supposed to DEMOnstrate how the game plays? It took like 15 minutes to get to any shooting. I guess that's probably a pretty accurate picture of the game as a whole, but still.... I don't care about the story stuff because if I like the demo, I'll see the whole story, and if I don't like the demo, I'll never give a crap.
The Dead Space 2 demo, however, is amazing. It has a couple minutes of story catch-up then throws you right into the game and doesn't let up until it's over.
I enjoyed the demo a lot actually. I think it swayed me enough to buy the game. The fact that they demonstrated how the game really is a big theatrical narrative with a lot of dialogue AND action sold me because I'm not a big shooter fan. If this was just a bunch of 3PS action with little content or dialogue then I woundn't really give the game a sniff. I'm glad they did it this way.I enjoyed the demo a lot actually. It was just really frustrating to go through so many unplayable scenes followed by the worst dialogue trees ever that give you a pointless choice between two phrases that mean exactly the same thing ("we should leave" or "let's get out of here!").
Playing the Dead Space 2 demo must've really spoiled me, because that was just awesome. It felt like a playable trailer that never lets up and gives you a good indication of what the whole experience will be like without any wasted space. The ME2 demo feels like it has a ton of wasted space.

I was actually thinking I may need to do something with that to get a blue coin or a secret star, but wasn't sure what it was. I'll have to play around with it for a while, but if I don't find it, I may have to use a guide. Anyway, right now, I have about 109. I'm almost certain I had that yesterday, but forget if I got any more. So I'm getting somewhat towards the end, but then I bet some of the hardest are still waiting for me.

I just got it. I honestly don't think it was that bad. I already thought of the two halves (gold mushroom and moon) separately, and probably would have put them together when going back to get the blue coins there. As for how you'd figure it out, one of the secret stars should lead to wanting to try it out. The only thing would be figuring out where to do it.

I was going to mention that other star as another hint, but I'm glad you didn't need it. The worst thing for me is that even when I knew what to do, it didn't work for about 30 seconds. I totally ran out of water once and had to refill and come back and still use like half a tank shooting directly at the moon to make the coin appear. If I had just tried it on my own, I would've given up after about five seconds and never come back.
I just want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
I hope all of you kiddos get everything you asked for!
Including that Jaguar :P

I didn't get the ending I wanted in Mass Effect 2 and I was really trying to make sure I got it ... at least I saved two files at the same time, so I can just go back to the game and complete the last mission and have everything turn out the way I want it to.. :(HaziqonfireShouldn't you not know what the endings are, and therefore which one you want, before, you know, seeing them?
Torchlight is one of the most enjoyable games I've played this year.
It doesn't do anything new but it does things with a whole new perspective.
It's like anti Mario Galaxy 2, instead of just copy and pasting what worked before Torchlight takes everything from Diablo and Titan Quest and others but does so by building from scratch.
I'm so happy I grabbed this and gifted a copy too
Merry Christmas everyone but Jason!
What did you guys get today? Also what was the best gift you gave to someone?

Lame.
They're relatively similar in terms of "omgwtf" so probably.snowman6251
Good. Assassin's Creed II had an awesome ending - I look forward to seeing what happens in Brotherhood. So far I've been trying to do 100% Sync for missions and I've found some flags and chests. I like how the game makes it easier to hunt down those things - Also I did the first Glyph which was awesome.
[QUOTE="Haziqonfire"][QUOTE="Head_of_games"][ Speaking of ending's ACB's is terrible. Just terrible. Also, be sure to leave the animus before the end, because the damn game won't let you do afterward for some reason. Anyways, trying out my moderately less sucky graphics card now. Anyone know how to run old Steam games like Richochet on Windows 7?snowman6251Did you think AC2 had a bad ending too? all very true. i had been looking for a good rpg for a long time, but everything i had played was very "meh". this takes a little of everything and does it VERY well. one of the best purchases i've made this year, no doubt.

Lay off Galaxy 2 already! That's not a suggestion.
Hey, I'm not the one who threw Mario under the bus to try to start some growth in Nintendo in the last 36 months
Games aren't supposed to get "do overs"
Even Gabs the most "oh well let's see what makes this worthwhile" played the game and said "Mario's eyes are black because he's dead inside"

I'm still debating whether or not to reply to you in your current Mario Galaxy thread. No sense in putting in effort to a small debate if you're not going to either :P
Also, Merry Christmas everyone! I received enough books for reading pleasure to tide me over for quite some time.

Haziqonfire
You're welcome.
I've already explained this to Bob in the last thread and you were there lol
The game was remade as an easy solution for Nintendo to make those Pokemon readily accessible in the post GameBoy era.
It was less effort to redo the game with Platinum's engine then try to add all those Pokemon and region into the Black and White

The series you love the most is also one that has had minimal change in the past 14 years. If you're complaining about Super Mario Galaxy 2 being too similar, I don't know how you can't complain about Pokemon.

Well I loved the ending in ACB. Maybe it's because I did everything I wanted to do before starting the last set of missions, so I was totally prepared to get to the end at that point. I thought it was a perfectly paced sequence and elicited the same OMG I NEED TO PLAY THE NEXT GAME feeling before the credits, just like AC and AC2 had.
But I'm in love with the overarching story in the AC series, so that's probably why I liked it so much.
I didn't have a chance to get on here today (or yesterday as it were) so Merry Christmas!
This was the first year I got nothing video game related. I didn't ask for any as there was nothing I really wanted until recently; I did ask for either best buy or amazon gift cards so I could purchase a game when one I wanted came up and didn't even get one of those. No biggie though; I've been keeping myself busy with other games anyways. I'm just depressed that I have to go back to work on Monday :(
