This is a really bad idea. I'm playing Cataclysm for free for ten days. I can already tell that I'm going to get hooked on this like a crack addict. I can tell because that's what happened before. This is a terrible idea. Absolutely terrible. But I'm doing it. Yikes.

Sometimes, I do not get why people are "bumping" old threads in the Nintendo Wii forum, as I am actively reporting threads that should be dead months or even years ago. Often the case, the people who are bumping these threads are low-level users who are unaware that it is against the rules to do so. If a thread has been "dead" for at least two weeks in the forum (this is according to the rule of thumb for slow-moving forums like Nintendo Wii), it should not be resurrected. Post a new topic instead.

People Google search for a topic and are linked directly to threads and they don't even think to look at the date, probably because they've never used a message board before or they think it's something like Yahoo Answers.

Once I figured that out, it was a lot less confusing to see someone reply "i lik mariooo" to a Super Mario Galaxy E3 announcement thread from years ago.

WTH?

Are you a woman or a child? Because that's the only ones who can appreciate snow

For men that's just another job we need to do. I wanted to play some games, make a turkey (I'm picturing stapling a neck and head or a carcass lol, I'M MAKING A TURKEY!), and go for a walk. Instead I'm going to have to shovel at least a foot of snow over the next 24 hours.

My job will be clearing snow and why? Because I'm a man and that's my job.

For man there is no happiness in snow

so very true. luckily i live in an apartment this year, so i dont have to shovel it. but i still have to drive in it which is a pain since i dont drive a big truck. and people tend to drive like morons when there's snow making my commute to/from work twice as long.

Why is Braun (the makers of electric razers and all that) and normally pronounced like "BRAWN" now being pronounced "BROWN" in their commercials? Why would they do that?

Also, almost done with Final Fantasy VII for the second time. Last time was a few years ago. When I faced Hojo I died a bunch of times before beating him. This time, it took me one try.

And also GO LIONS!!!!! 3 in a row and 2 road wins in a row!!!! I know we're out of it but it's great to see them still playing hard and showing that we have a bright future here after so many years of pure heart break!!

i havent heard that yet, but thats just dumb. i need to get around to playing that, but i dont know when, considering all the games i bought on steam :P they're just shooting themselves in the foot for the draft. not that it'll matter, considering its the lions. i have nothin against them. i actually would LOVE to see them have a great season. but i just dont see it ever happening. they have one of the top picks every year and cant get a winning team somehow. i dont even see how thats possible.

A little work?

I have an 8 car driveway then walkway around the yard then a path for mail and deliveries then when I'm done with all that I need to make a path for the cats

That's not a little work

Also when you do work you have to be loud about so no one forgets you're doing it.

Nah, this is better. The types of holes they need to fill are not necessarily ones that they can get a lot of value out of if they had a top 5 pick. Now, they can select whatever position they need and get value based on the salary demands for that position in the draft. they can't afford to pay those huge salaries to top-3 picks or they'll be screwed down the road. And since Millen has been gone, they've drafted very well and signed great free agents and great trades.

it certainly looks like theyre going in the right direction, but i wont believe it until i see it. i dont watch many of their games, but i hope that you're right.

I agree with Jason, shovelling snow SUCKS. Some exercise is good, yes. But shovelling feet of snow is just annoying, frustrating, and leads to heart attacks. I would invest in a snowblower if I lived out east. I have one here in Michigan and it's a life saver.

I walk 5-8 miles a day so it's not so much the exertion it's the level of boredom you get while doing it.

I make up different characters. I really like Sno Shovelei, intrepid french shoveler who came over to test his skills in the feirce Northeastern winters.

He also has a Mexican partner, Senior Scoopos. Shovelei found him as a street urchin when he went down to Mexico one summer and they've been together ever since. While being second in command Scoopos is also well versed in witty banter.

Those two usually entertain me for a few hours while I shovel

I've been making a good amount of progression in Retro Game Challenge. So I've got up the Star Prince, and finished the second challenge. So far I'm really liking this game. The games in it are all fun in their own way. Even Rally King, which I didn't really care for at first (mainly because I couldn't get into the drifting mechanic for a while) is fun in its own way, despite the amount of trial and error involved with the track layout. I know I'm at least partly to blame for it, because I didn't get it until now, and I got it used, but I wish that this game had sold a lot better so that we could have gotten the sequel, which seems even better from what I've heard about it.

Just placed my order for Dragon Age Origins on Amazon. Got a used copy from a seller that guarentees the game to work or I get a full refund. All for the low price of $18.89 including shipping, plus I had $2.25 left on a gift card that I didn't know about. HELL YES!!

jason get a snowblower.

alexh_99

I have a hard time paying for or asking for a gift for something I can do myself

Ok, I'm going out to shovel the *(#@*&@# snow

why buy a shovel, when you can just use your hands to move the snow?

I recommend a plastic spoon.

Just placed my order for Dragon Age Origins on Amazon. Got a used copy from a seller that guarentees the game to work or I get a full refund. All for the low price of $18.89 including shipping, plus I had $2.25 left on a gift card that I didn't know about. HELL YES!!

I don't have a gaming PC or else I would look in to this steam you all talk about. Probably still wouldn't be my thing since I'm not an online gamer. BTW, does anyone ever pay attentiion to their user Level or Title here in the gamespot forums? I never really pay much attention but sometimes the titles make me laugh. I just noticed I'm Abobo... I used to hate those bastards!! Some of the titles make me chuckle.

Now that I own an ipod for the first time in my life, thanks to Christmas, I can finally work out with my own music.

Lifting weights to an orchastrated version of the final battle with Ganon in Ocarina of Time is pppretty badass.

Also, that link is just outstanding. I must have watched Happy Gilmore dozens of times and I never get tired of it.

This is why Microsoft is constantly behind competition. You're trying to sell your product by saying "People use phones too much, heres a phone that'll make you use it less". Stupid. Also, those "To The Cloud" commercials are dumb too.

Glad you liked the link. That part of the movie always blew my mind... so random and so hilarious!! Also, the Amazon store I purchased Dragon Age from already shipped it out. Very outstanding indeed!!

That's why Windows phone 7 will work

It's not that people use their phones too often it's that they have to use their phones that often.

Microsoft's whole system is that stuff is easier to get to on their phones and that for a lot of people that's great. The screens of the phone all look the same and the stuff on the phone always works, you don't need to do a bunch of crap to get it working.

I grabbed an Evo because it can do more things like Sirius and you know what happened, update for the Evo less then a week in and now Sirius and every other HTTP streaming is disabled. That will never happen on a Windows phone because of the system they have in place that every service has to work or it's not allowed.

This last week I've done exactly what those ads say, I've been on my phone way too long while doing nothing, Microsoft's system stops all that.

Because they're going for like $100+ and they're completely sold out everywhere and they're not shipping more.
