Why didn't YOU buy Sin and Punishment?

Okay well it's true that I play on hard and normal only. I admit it. But that's only because it's a Treasure game ;) And speaking of that, when comparing normal difficulty to just "playing a Treasure game", you have to remember that sad as it is, most gamers haven't experienced their games and have an understanding of what their brutal but excellent gameplay design is like.

And Loco, that wasn't meant as a dig duder. Just a joke about how hard the game is. But Jordan's right, it's only on hard I have yet to beat the danged thing.

Finally got this game :) but not time to play yet :P

i had to decide between it and metyroid other m, enough said. i just dont have enough cash these days, i also need a lot of games for my almost new ps3 so ya.

Because I don't buy games that don't interest me.

Sin and Punishment 2 seems to have a serious lack of presence in this forum, and I have to wonder.... why?

Because I don't care about it? There's a difference between a game getting unjustful bashing and a game that gets no covering at all. The latter is called a hidden gem (though it depends on an individual's tastes).

I don't think 50 euros warrant a game that can apparently be beaten in 5 hours.

I know it's been compared to Star Fox, but I'm not one of the people that wants SF64 with updated graphics.

I want to buy it, but it's too expensive right now. What sucks though, is that, being a Nintendo game, the price isn't likely to go down for a long, long, long long time. Hell, Super Mario Galaxy is still full price, now that's just absurd.

It's meant to be played through multiple times. If that's not your type of play styIe, then you probably wouldn't like this game regardless of how long it is. The fun isn't in playing through the story (because the story is bad); the fun is in improving and eventually mastering the game and going for high scores, which requires many, many playthroughs.

I've put nearly 20 hours into it and I'm nowhere near mastering it.

That's cool. If you read through this thread, you'll see that I'm not trying to guilt anyone into buying this game. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing. But since so many people have been pining for a new Star Fox and this is as close as we've come in years (and in some ways it's better than Star Fox), I figured it would've gotten more attention from the forum in general.

I also wanted to make sure that people didn't avoid it just because they heard it's really short. So is Star Fox 64.. unless you play through it a bunch, like most of us have. Avoiding S&P for its length would be like avoiding SF because it's only 2 hours long.

i didnt buy it because railed shooters are dumb and the game was not appealing at all so i would never waste my money on it

3. It's not a rail shooter, at least not in the sense that everyone complains about. You have a physical character on the screen in addition to the aiming reticle, so you literally have to pay attention to the entire screen at once.

Thats still a rail shooter to me...ive seen tons of footage, meh.

dude just because you have a physical character on screen doesnt mean its not a railed shooter, you can only move to dodge stuff but you still have a pre determinded route and you have no control over the way your character moves physically forward into the game but it doesnt matter the point is its a railed shooter and i think they suck lol... dont be offended by that its just how i feel

basically theres other games im more interested in , and when your 15 and have no money you gota get only what you really want, also im not a hudge fan of shooters , the only one im looking faward too is conduit two because i enjoyed the first one.

I didn't play the first one, I had too many other games to play, and I heard it was a bit on the short side. Would have bought if it was budget-priced, though.

import mine...over here in Aust the store that did import exclusive wanted $89 for it ...lol

Had a feeling this is one of those game that will go missing after a year...regretted didn't get Fire Emblem when it came out ...& then had to hunt for 2 years to finally get it, not doing that again. :P

Dude I am the same way man. I love arcade style shooters big time. P.N.03 was a fabulous and underrated game on the Gamecube and it's because people didn;t understand the arcade approach to how it was designed. And S&P2 is one of the best games this gen.

Yeah, that's the bad thing about this game. I can tell it's one of those games that, if I don't get it now, I won't be able to get it later. Meaning, it'll likely become a super rarity before it ever sees a price drop. :(

So, unlike the Mario Galaxies and whatnot, I actually do have to pony-up the cash at some point (and some point soon) if I don't wanna miss out on this one.

It's my birthday at the end of the week, though, so if I get any money or something for the b-day I may just check this game out. Though then again, Metroid's coming out this week, so now I'm a bit torn, haha!
