How To Love is so lame lol. They play that **** on adult contemp radio :lol:Toriko42
Â
I liked it at first, but now I'm tired of it
Lil Wayne - It's Good ft, Drake & Jada
The shots were blatant, but were weak. You've gotta come harder/smarter when you get at Hov.
I'm like really half a billi ****
Really you got baby money
Keep it real with ******
****** aint got my lady money - Jay-Z ("HAM" track)
"Talkin' 'bout baby money, I gotcha baby money / Kidnap your ***** get that how much you love your lady money / I know you fake, ***** / Press your brakes, ***** / I'll take you out, that's a date, ***** / I'm a grown *** blood, stop playing with me / Play **** and get an ****whippin' / I think you *****cat, hello kitty."- Lil Wayne ("Its Good" track)
Dude needs to delay this to November and come out with a monster single asap...Toriko42
She will should do aite' if he does his thang with that
Best songs:"Mega Man","She Will","It's Good" (Mainly because of Drake),the interlude with Tech N9ne and Andre 3000,and the outro. It's pretty meh, same level as The Game's album IMO.Black-Demon
Believe that. Mad average. Doesn't flow to well either.Â
Great album overall minus How to Hate (can see people diggin this though) and How to Love, which isn't even a bad song imo... it's just awkward, I guess... sounds strange and just plain out of place. President Carter should've been way better than it was... still a solid song, though... a bit boring. Some songs, like So Special and Blunt Blowin', felt like filler on my first listens, but they've grown on me, especially Blunt Blowin'... that song is officially my ****. Love the Interlude and the last two tracks... kinda wanted Weezy to go in on Interlude and Outro but whatever.Â
Blew past my expectations... Thought this was gonna be super meh, but it's pretty damn good. My least favorite of all his Carter albums, but I'm still feeling it. This will grow on me for sure.Â
My favorite songs: Abortion, Its Good, MegaMan, 6 foot 7 and Nightmares of the Bottom.Â
I love being a Weezy stan, because every time I lose faith in this *****, he reminds why I jock him so hard. Dude is the nicest rapper alive, could really give two ****s what anybody says, before everyone on OTB, their mommas and their cousins jump on my sack. Way more talented dudes out there imo, but he is simply the best at putting out good music. Between the four carters, his tons of ridiculously good mixtapes and all the random tracks he has made hot via a guest spot over the years, I think I'm set for life. We are cakin' again.Â

Having tons of talent doesn't always mean you put out good albums...Â
Jay Electronica is a much better rapper than Wayne imo, like he has better flows, better lyrics, etc...  but, as of now, his three mixtapes aren't as good as Wayne's Dedications or Drought 3 or C3 Sessions or whatever, so wayne has more quality music out than Jay E does, and Wayne just dropped an album I think is dope... where is JE at? dude won't drop that ****c he's got in him for a while on Jay's label... how am I gonna say JE is better when dude's not even dropping ish? just doesn't work like that in my mind... so I'm not gonna say Jay E is better than Wayne. I judge who is the best or my favorite or whatever based upon how often they release music I enjoy in comparison to other artists... right now, Weezy releases more music that I enjoy than any other rapper... Big KRIT and Curren$y and Drake are up there too but Weezy is ahead on my list... Â
Wale could put out an amazing album if he ran with all BKS production and the stile that he originated with, but instead, he put out an album that was good but nothing amazing at all... tons of talents, but that talent hasn't translated into a truly great album.Â
Â
And is OTB still not past the point of posting old, played out gifs when someone says something they don't agree with? Should we all think the same thing? Come with something better than an animated picture if you're gonna bother quoting someone... that was funny like 2 years ago. Â
If you're talented, then you should be able to put out a good album no matter the circumstances. The end.Black-Demon
You should be able to, but that **** is not practical. There are so many things that can hinder someone from putting their best foot forward with an album... label constraints, lack of money, etc... not everyone who is talented has the freedom or resources to put out an album that reflects how good of an artist they are or how talented they are...Â
That's like saying a rapper that is extremely talented could have $5 to his name and no contacts in the industry and have a good chance of making a classic album or a great album...... yeah right.
Â
MK, I don't care about being flamed. When did I say that? What I think is dumb is you posting that old ass gif of MJ you've used 1000 times and then 3 words and a question mark.... ish like that says so little that's not even worth posting. And then you go on to post a pic you've used tons of times and said something that added nothing constructive to this thread..... why even post.....? gifs are funny and all, but I can look at people post funny gifs anywhere on the internet... OTB has tons of intelligent hip-hop heads in it and this is what some threads look like? talking... dumb gif... talking... dumb gif... weak....Â
That's why nowadays you become an independant artist instead of signing to a major label. The end.Black-Demon
Okay, nevermind . You're crazy if you think all you need is talent to put out a great album. Talent doesn't provide dope beats, and production is half the album. Talent doesn't give you guest features, which can really help albums. There's a reason that Joe Budden, a dude that can rap his ass off and is clearly very talented, has dropped one amazing disc... he can't get good production on his ****. MM2 is classic imo, but Padded Room, for example, is ALL Joey... his flows and lyrics make that album, the production is garbo... He can be as talented as he wants, but that talent wasn't getting his independent ass better production and guest spots for his work. Now that he's on Shady, maybe he'll see that... but where he was before, **** no. He could have came with some Illmatic-esque verses on Padded Room but that production would have kept that album down in a major way...

Okay
Lil Wayne is not the nicest rapper alive.
He is so repetitive its not even funny.
He repeats the same punchlines over and over again.
Weak punchlines over and over again, rappers killing his verses on his own album SMH.
He disses rappers that would kill him in a beef
Dude is wack, face it.Â
Â
Â
Every rapper is repetitive to an extent.... every rapper out there only has a certain number of flows, a certain number of things to talk about, etc.... Weezy is "repetitive" because he puts out way more music than the average rapper. That doesn't make his music worse though... Half the ish on C2 and C3 had been done to death by other people and half the punchlines were mad old, but both albums were still really enjoyable and had quality **** on them, back to front... imo at least.
A lot of rappers rehash punchlines. Doesn't really bother me at all....Â
Who cares if he disses people that would make better diss tracks than him? lol... I don't give 2 ****s about that dramatic BS, he can diss whoever... That's not really an argument as to why his work is not good.......
Dude is the best alive imo, get over it...Â

I'll use MK's style for this one.
You don't need guest features to make a great album
Padded Room has horrible production because Joe has a horrible ear for beats
It doesn't make sense how Budden doesn't have money for good production while Royce does
Although it's a mixtape, almost everybody here loves Mood Muzik 2,and the beats sucked
Â
Â
wow....just finished my first listen though, this **** is wack as hell...and I've enjoyed all the other Carter albums :? extremely disappointed with this. wayne's rhymes and flows are so simple and repetitive it's ridiculous. wtf happened to his flow? nothing original whatsoever in the production too, it all sounds like everything else on the radio. The best 5 verses on the album are from Nas, Tech N9ne, Andre, Busta, and Bun B (in the order) Wayne and Shyne are probably on the same level now lol why isnt Andre listed as featured on Interlude in the track list?DaDukies
He's been like this for awhile now.

yeah i know, but thats on his features and stuff, i guess i just thought he'd step it up for the album, especially since all the other Carter albums were good albums imo when you get out of jail, you're supposed to come out with some crazy new deep ish that you had 8 months to write and perfect. instead we get "you've been gone to long, hello weezy welcome home, i'm blunt blowin!!" :lol:To be fair Jay is a ghost. At least Wayne is putting out music albeit lame music for the most part
Man the best part of this album is the guests. Wayne just gets outshone by the guests. He went soft on the intro beat but everyone else just murdered it...Outro and Interlude are like my favorite songs on thisÂ
According to billboard this thing is on pace to sell between 700,000 and 800,000 copies http://www.billboard.com/#/news/lil-wayne-s-carter-iv-may-debut-at-no-1-1005332142.storySwanogt19Insane to think about. For reference, "Watch the Throne" only sold 436,000 copies the first week.
I'm with all of you that say this album is weaker than expected, though. IMO, C3 > C2 > C4. The sign of a good Wayne album is the intro song (remember how strong they were on C2 and C3?). C4 has a horrible intro song.
But still, Wayne is the biggest/most successful rapper in the game right now, so I doubt he really cares.
His worst work EVER .
How do you go to prison for a year and come out and drop this ??
RECYCLED PUNCHLINES OVER AND OVER
"Lifes A Beach........"
"Lifes a B****........."
"All my H*** Durty....."
'Life On The Edge...."
I been bumping Carter 3 over this ..
LIL WAYNE SUCKS NOW !!Â
How are you a guitar playing skateboarding blood??
dude is a poser . he is about to get dissed by a lot of artist , watch .
The whole beginning to Tha Carter III just kept you wanting more. It was awesome...3Peat leading into Mr. Carter and then A Milli. It just gave you such a pull into it.
This one it's just like some lame Intro track that, of all the artists to rap on it on the album, Wayne goes the softest on.Â
Then it's just like meh I'm not even gonna bother.Â
