new Dwele tape just dropped a few weeks back...fitna cop that soon. Goapele has a new tape coming out real soon...fitna cop that as well...of course the D'Angelo tape is always being anticipated. Just got the new Dream tape...it's good, better than most stuff being dropped in R&B recently. idk, someone needs to recommend me some new r&b....Colt45fool
If you haven't listened to Bobby V's Rebirth tape, its good. Oh and did you hear about The-Dream and Christina Millian separated? Photos surfaced of Dream and his assistant at the beach on vacation...LOL

Colt, homie. You know she already had that baby right?
I don't know where I was at with Dream's last album.
'Cause I'm really feelin' Love King, and couldn't get into Love Vs. Money. Maybe things changed and I'l enjoy it if I listened to it now though...
Love King is dope, the only songs I don't really love are February Love and Florida University.I don't know where I was at with Dream's last album.

lol, I think Make Up bag and Nikki pt. 2 are great. And Panties to the Side is kinda cheesy, but it jams.
the only good thing about nikki pt 2 is that it leads into abyss....abyss is my jamColt45foolbest song on the album 4 sho.

I prefer abyss, sex intelligent (remix) is solid but not better than Abyss. Turnt Out is dope though. Also, for some odd reason I love Yamaha.
Hell yeah, I been listening to more R&B than rap lately, granted not much of it is recent.
This new Trey Songz album should be a nice addition to my collection.

[QUOTE="IsThisIt_basic"][QUOTE="kobegill"]Anyone still bumping R&B?kobegill
Man this has been a pretty awful year for R&B.
Trey Songz has literally carried R&B on its back....lol
haha, I agree, as far as mainstream R&B goes he's probably the best thing going right now ...
Personally, I'm just hoping for a new record from Bobby V or Pretty Ricky.
so how was the new Ursher album? No one really mentioned anything about it.Apocalypse33
For as much hating on Usher's recent output as I did in this thread, I'll have to admit that Usher's "O.M.G." is my favorite mainstream single of the year (I've already said that elsewhere) and the recent single "There Goes My Baby" is great as well. I might just check out this album yet. That "Daddy's Back" (or whatever) single still sucked, though.

What'd you think of his first single from Fly on the Wall?

It wasn't bad, I enjoyed it.
There Goes My Baby was my favorite, so dope to me, and really I still bump it.
OMG as overplayed as it is is my **** to dance to.
Foolin' Around, Guilty, Mars Vs. Venus, I dig those tracks too.

Daddy's Home was so ridiculous I can't help but love it.Â

Check out his EP he dropped, Versus. Some got stuff on there. Hot Tottie and DJ Got Us Falling In Love Again.
In an attempt to resurrect the R&B thread...

Dam-Funk - Adolescent Funk (To be released on October 26)
Dam-Funk, to many, is a new name from the past year or two, but what we see and hear from him is a great deal more interesting than a new and emerging artist with a sound influenced from the golden era of electro-funk. Dam-Funk is the real deal. He has been recording for himself for two decades, developing his work to his own taste, and using equipment like the Korg M1, Linn Drum, and Casio SK-1 since the days when many other musicians considered them novelty electronics rather than instruments.Â
At the request of Peanut Butter Wolf, Dam went through many of these recordings, all made on cassette, going back to his teenage years. As Wolf tells it,"Dam told me, 'this is your project Wolf. Do whatever you want with it. I leave it in your hands. I don't even wanna see it til it's done. Have fun.'"
The result is Dam-Fun's Adolescent Funk, a 14-track album recorded between 1988 and 1992. This will be released October 26 on LP, CD and digital. Two tracks, It's My Life/I Like Your Big Azz (Girl) were released on 7-inch earlier this year.
---
Looking forward to this one (to say the least lol), D-F announced this project last year and now it's coming to life :) You can listen to the samples of the tracks on the website. Unlike Toeachizown, this album consists of older recordings and the vocals are more prominent.
Everyone been keeping up on R&B or no? Waiting for that new Bobby V album to drop.kobegill
not really, just the Dream album this year and that's pretty much it.Â

Cosign! I been bumoing Words. Is that a album cut though?
I read it was supposed to be the next single, but I don't remember where. I'm pretty sure it's on the tape at least. I hope it is
You really like Pretty Ricky that much? They haven't really been hot since like 2006. They have some catchy songs (Your Body, etc.) but they are one of few artists I would not be caught dead bumping in the whip lol.
Bobby V is waaaaay better. Same with Trey Songz and the-Dream.

I honestly haven't heard anything prior to their last album, which I just checked out on a hunch, and it ended up being, imo, the best R&B album since The-Dream's debut. Seriously, if you haven't heard it yet, check it out. It's fantastic. I'm just hoping it sold well enough that they'll release another someday.
Edit: Part of why their latest album was so good was the addition of Slick into the group; he's basically Plies in the absolute best way possible.

Actually its Bobby V's song and 50 featured on it. My favorite rapper and one of my favorite R&B singers collaborate. Good track. Really anticipating Bobby's album. Always enjoy his material.
I don't know if anyone cares but Miguel's debut cover and tracklisting dropped:
No features other than the single with J.Cole.Â
