Popularity doesn't mean anything, angsty teenagers will eat all of those bands up bacause they're so "dark", "heavy" and "emotional" (yeah, right :roll: ). Taste is subjective, and everyone is entitled to like whatever they want, but quality is not subjective, and just because something sounds appealing to you doesn't mean it's actually quality music, the classical masters of old, along with jazz/rock/metal/etc. legends set up the standards which music should be judged with, and by those standards I don't think any of those bands are quality music.

Don't get me wrong, I also listen to some music merely because it sounds appealing to me, and it's not wrong to do it, again, everyone's entitled to like whatever they want, but I do try to leant towards quality music (as much as my admittedly limited knowledge allows me to) as much as possible. Just saying. :)

Just because everyone likes a band doesn't mean it's actually good, teenagers will obviously like the bands listed here because they can relate to their message and it's the darkest, heaviest music they have ever heard, so they'll think they're awesome even if there's better bands out there.

Taste is subjective (you can like whatever you want), quality isn't (some musicians are better than others, they have more knowledge about music theory and more technical skills, thus they can make better compositions).

A band's popularity is meaningless, it doesn't say anything about the quality of the music itself, all it says is they make more money.

Whether I know that taste is subjective and that quantity =/= quality? Yes, I realize that. What Im trying to say is that none of the bands that he listed can be the worst band ever because they have to have some ounce of quality to sell records and get noticed so theyre not the worst band ever. If a band was truely the worst band ever, then they wouldnt sell anything or have a fanbase. I dont know how else to explain it, I think its pretty straight forward but w/e
