I dislike many of Obama's policies and how he does things, but this is just silly. It's been proven already, let it go and focus on the things that matter.

I just find this entire issue ridiculous. It's silly and distracting and we should just move on to the bigger issues at hand, he's going to be here for two more years whether you like it or not.

He did show it. Then people told him it didn't count, and instead requested a second document with no greater legal weight. Then people went to the judiciary and they laughed them out of the courthouse. It was at this point that Obama correctly determined that the people making this request were insane and that there was no sense playing along any further.

In some alternate universe's timeline perhaps. In ours however it became a state in 1959. Regardless, even if it was not a state in 1961 it was still a US territory and that still makes Obama a natural-born US citizen.
