[QUOTE="BATTOSAI76"]

[QUOTE="With-Hatred"]yeah, but why wasn't this attempted on Clinton or Carter then? Or even some of the presidential candidates? (Bidens always seemed a bit too canadian for me). I think there might be other underlying causes. 51% of primary voters thinking this seems really suspicious to me. Maybe republicans go though the thinking process; "he's black and Muslim so he must have been born in the middle east".

I can only guess, but something either shady or increadibly stupid is going on. Maybe republicans just need to learn to use google as I mentioned before, lol.

With-Hatred

Monica Lewinsky maybe? I'm not saying birth in a different country I'm saying they're trying to get him out of office however possilble as they did with the Lewinsky thing.

Cheating and Getting a BJ isn't the same as blatently going against the evidence that can be retrived very easily.

Difference being that Clinton actually did something wrong. For the record u can't get kicked out of office for cheating, u can for lying under oath though. Obama hasn't done anything of the sort, or anything wrong. In fact the only thing I think he's done wrong in the eyes of a few nutty right wingers is not be born white.

I'm just saying it's a way to try and get him out of office, not weather or not it's wrong.

You know, for a secret organization that controls the most powerful people in the world they certainly suck at keeping things secret.

It doesn't matter if Fox News showed an actual copy of the birth certificate, they still won't believe it's real. You can never win with people like this.

This is totally a legitimate issue and it hasn't been resolved yet. Nothing is ridiculous about demanding proof of something. Since when did everyone start believing politicians at their word??? Remember when everyone, liberals and conservatives together, were super-skeptical of career-politicians? The post-Obama era is all whacked out I tells ya.

Exactly, instead of policy n such they go after petty nonsense. Reminds me of the swift boats, didn't Clinton and Bush pretty much do nothing in the military? Then a guy who actually went to Vietnam in John Kerry gets called out and bashed, backwards man

It isn't a legitimate issue and it's totally been resolved long ago. People demand proof when ample proof has already been given. Going "lol, nope" doesn't invalidate that proof. For Christ's sake, even Sarah Palin recognizes Obama's legitimacy as a natural-born US citizen.

This is hilarious.. Do you guys actually believe a man that is not a American citizen raising the most money in election history and winning the presidency.. To being president for a number of years without the authorities realizing that he was not a natural born American citizen.. I swear this is as bad as the 9/11 conspiracy theorists who suggest that there was bombs placed all over the building.. Yeah and no one noticed the large explosives and wires brought into the building over a 9 month span of a building that size, or the fact they would have to tear down numerous walls to get to the correct point..

Actually, 9/11 was perpetrated by a foreign born Obama who wanted to weaken the country so he could assume the presidency and push his foreign agenda. It's very easy to see.

Agree with his policy's or not , i think we can allagree this birther movement is just ridiculous

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41858252/ns/politics-more_politics/

raiden509

I wonder how many of those birthers are also 9/11 truthers. I guess each new president is subject to his own conspiracy theories.

Oh well at least it's not as bad as this conspiracyTheory:

"in conclusion, the Archbishop of New York, Edward Cardinal Egan, employing the Council on Foreign Relations, his "trusted third party" (in the words of Jesuit General Ignatius Loyola), attacked and destroyed the World Trade Center and a portion of the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. This High Treason against the American People was blamed on supposed Arab terrorists, none of whom were on any of the four ill-fated flights. This in turn has justified President George W. Bush's present war on Islamic terrorism, beginning with the Taliban which destroyed the Black Pope's opium crop and refused to allow Unocal Oil, managed by CFR George P. Shultz and CFR Henry A. Kissinger, to build a pipeline through Afghanistan.

In furthering the Black Pope's plan for the destruction of American Calvinist Constitutional liberty, Archbishop Edward Cardinal Egan's Council on Foreign Relations, employing his Central Intelligence Agency, created a highly concentrated form of Anthrax using his Military Industrial Complex. It was then released through the United States Postal Service. The resultant national paranoia was then blamed on innocent Moslems, further justifying the Pope's Middle East Crusade and domestic Martial Law in the eyes of a deceived populace. The Cardinal then put forth a toxic remedy, the antibiotic drug "Cipro", intending to shortly mandate its consumption by every American citizen, further weakening our immune systems in anticipation of our coming Sino-Soviet-Moslem-Cuban Invasion."

Anyone who believes the birther conspiracy shouldn't be treated as having any knowledge and should be outright ignored. They are as silly as people who believe George Bush is a reptilian. They are, quite simply, idiots. That is all I can call someone who refuses to believe mountains of proof.

He showed a certificate that is prima facie evidence of citizenship in any court.

Where in the constitution does it say that a President is required to show their birth certificate?

How do you know he doesn't have one? Care to prove it?

He did show it. Then people told him it didn't count, and instead requested a second document with no greater legal weight. Then people went to the judiciary and they laughed them out of the courthouse. It was at this point that Obama correctly determined that the people making this request were insane and that there was no sense playing along any further.

In some alternate universe's timeline perhaps. In ours however it became a state in 1959. Regardless, even if it was not a state in 1961 it was still a US territory and that still makes Obama a natural-born US citizen.

I love how this has gotten to 13 pages and yet on the very first page I posted his birth certificate that is available to literally everyone.
