[QUOTE="Laihendi"][QUOTE="dave123321"]Lai, have you decided to postpone the otcars till march?nocoolnamejim
I will consider postponing if you tell me why you want it postponed and I think it's a good reason.

I think, and I could be wrong because Dave does have vaguely robotic tendencies that sometimes inhibit getting a clear read on him if you're not a cyborg, but I THINK he's making a mildly stated complaint on how long things are taking.

I am actually upset that people are acting like its taking so damn long when it is gong faster then it has in the past several years. Want to give people something to really complain about.

You realize of course that I can see edit history. I see what you REALLY said before you made your quick correction. For shame.

It allows people to get broader perspective on users. The extra time also allows for a truer sense of what OT thinks and not just them rushing through their votes. It also gives a better chance that even more people will participate since they will be feel less guilt at voting without borders.

Users had all of 2012 to reflect on who they wanted to support for the 2013 OTcars. What do you mean by voting without borders? What does guilt have to do with voting?

I doubt that considering that we are making better time than any previous year I am aware of, and he was recently complaining about people complaining about how long the OTcars were taking due to the fact that it was taking less time than previous years.

You...trust Dave to have your back and not mess with you? Hmm.

Dave is a good man.

You know...some people said that about Hitler too. Not that I'm comparing Dave to Hitler but I'm just raising the question.

People may have had all year, but people put things off. Most haven't given it much thought. Now that it is here, they will look back over their spotty memories which is a faulty way to do things. By moving it up a couple of months, people can start paying attention to what goes in here so they can make a good decision. People may feel the need to have voted in round 1. Moving it back a couple of months will lesson that feeling. It will allow them to feel that it is okay to vote given that so much time has passed.

Lai...while I know that you and I have not always had the best of relations: ------------>Admiral Ackbar It's a trap! THIS IS A TRAP! Delaying things for two months is pretty much killing momentum. And you'll get blamed for it when people lose the meager amount of interest that presently exists and it flops horribly.

[QUOTE="jimkabrhel"]

[QUOTE="Laihendi"] This society does not favor caucasians over anyone.Laihendi

Are you living in the US? If so, in a hole since the country's inception?

Please explain how this society favours caucasians when they are the only race subject to laws designed for the sole purpose of disadvantaging them.

Are you Canadian? I don't know of many Americans who spell "favor" with an "ou".

In any case, since the inception of the US, white, male land-owners have been favored. only in the last few decades have women and minorities have been able to make any inroads in a society that has prevented them from being equal.

Though there are programs like Affirmative Action that are meant to give help to minorities, this country is still biased towards voting-age white males.

If we delay the OTcars then memories of 2012 will only become hazier. Also people will vote according to events of 2013, when they should be waiting to do until the 2014 OTcars. @Jim - I was not aware of any problem in our relations.

Hurry up and get the voting thread up then. People are getting restless
