A good artist? If it's really art, then it's not good or bad. Some people like it, some people don't, and that's the end of it. I happen to be somebody who doesn't like it. In my opinion, she didn't contribute anything worthwhile to this world. All she did was add to our already drugged up, shallow, narcissistic, indifferent, and uneducated youth culture. Our species didn't lose anything by her death; we gained back some of our dignity.

Going back to my original comment you think 'she didn't contribute anything'
Could you give an example of you personally contributing more?
First, while I have indeed contributed more to society than Amy Winehouse, I'm not going to get into a personal discussion about my profession with you. So, second, for argument's sake, we'll pretend I have not contributed anything. Now, assuming I have not contributed anything, there are two points I would like to make.
A) Yours is an illogical point of argument. Even if I personally have not contributed anything, that does nothing to change the fact that Amy Winehouse has also contributed nothing and that you're defending her sad life for no reason. For purposes of this argument, if you're going to accept my premise that she has done nothing, then sure you can criticize me for also doing nothing, but you must criticize her as well.
B) The real answer to your question, though, is that Amy Winehouse not only didn't contribute to our culture, she actually detracted from our culture with her destructive "art," as you call it. Therefore, even by contributing nothing to our culture, I have still contributed more to our culture than Amy Winehouse.
