This is the kind of stereotypical attitude that I as an Asian hate. They need to stop being portrayed as submissive objects, because most of them are not, only the ones that soldiers and tourists tell about.

Take for example, Japanese subways (yes I know, but let me explain).

I have a couple of friends that are studying in Japan right now, and I have relatives who live there and have lived there.

They have all said that on the subways, women are sometimes groped right in public, and they do nothing to fight back.

It was just...passive acceptance. Most of the guys never got caught.

And then I realized that stuff like that probably reinforces the stereotype that asian women are submissive, and networks feed on that, and then these perverts eat it all up and continue to believe the stereotype and then go on to grope more women, and thus this viscious cycle continues.

Emphasis high spin kicks, little ground fighting, and over-reliance on striking, and most unfortunate (And I think TKD would be fine if this wasnt so) it's popular in McDojos, which are basically places where they lure you into paying an excessive amount of money to gain little actual fighting knowledge, or any place that gives black belts to pretty much everyone if they go long enough.

Here in my home state of California, wierd things are starting to happen too. In school it seems like the asians are breaking away from all the other groups and more and more trying to be their own group....Saying things like "asian pride!" and "oh, she's so white washed!". It's really discusting. This is just the Bay Area however. Since asians make up about a third of the people here, it's like the asian youth is feeling more and more like a mojority in places therefore feel asian controlled or something. :lol: You know nothing about it. You don't get 'little fighting knowledge'. You learn a whole lot. Also, there are barely any people that go as far as a black belt because you a few years of experience to get one.

I'm a third degree black belt and I've been doing it for 10 years. I KNOW what I'm talking about.

Japanese society is far more sexually open like most of europe, unlike american society which frowns upon such things, due to religious and moral influences. Thats all it comes down to, it has nothing to do with japanese men being magically less confident than american men. You are simply instilling your conservative values on an alien society that does things differently, and in my opinion, does it better. Why shouldn't older people have fun with multiple partners? Spare me.
