I suspect they would since logic is what was telling them God doesn't exist in the first place now logic would be telling them the opposite
but people believe in evolution due to substantial evidence despite the fact it remains a theory. Why not God?No, substantial evidence...
I want to see him myself.

No, substantial evidence...
I want to see him myself.
I agree. If I see him, i'll believe. Otherwise, no amount of evidence is enough to change my beliefs, simply because everything, in due time, will be explained with science. SCIENTIFIC Evidence?Yes, I want to believe that when I die I'm going to the kingdom in the clouds and I'd like to think that the storys of pre historic people thousands of years ago are relevant but there not... when I die Imma going in the ground...
No because I do not find eternity in perfection tolerable. It would rob me of the essence of time, and with that, so many things that makes being alive noticable.
Give me a life, let me do what I please based on willingly suffering/gaining consenquences, and let me cease to exist.
For that, I am as grateful as I ever could be. I wouldnt want to be sentenced without parole in the aftermath.

I can't really say unless I saw the evidence... but, if I found it solid, I would convert.chessmaster1989
This is why if there were a god he would never reveal himself. Faith is the basis of religion, revealing himself would only bring unwilling non-believers toward him in fear of judgement. Either way if he were discovered it certainly would be a great day.

Evolution you can SORT OF track down through time. however in this hypothetical you do have substantial evidence so I don't really see your logic.No. But in a strict sense, Religious people would stop believing in god and they would start knowing. Faith would thus be converted into knowledge. Watch with the implications.curonoWoah, i totally and completely agree with this! And plus one person's idea of 'substancial evidence' could be completely different to another.
It would have to be a bit more watertight than Christ's-face-on-a-pickle substantial. If it was compelling enough, I'd be pretty foolish to deny it. There seems to be this weird myth that atheists choose what they believe in.

Someone didn't use their dictionary.
In this case, you answer to God, he doesn't answer to you. There is no reason why he should further oblige any "requests". In this scenario, he KNOWS he's real, the rest of the world KNOWS he exists. If you still choose not to believe, nobody is stopping you. Would you jump ship? th3warr1orI'd believe he exists, but most likely wouldn't worship him.
But technically, if everything is true, then wouldn't not believing in the Abrahamic God be quite risky, seeing as how you could probably end up down there? th3warr1orYes, but I'd be screwed either way, since an omniscient god would know I'm not being sincere.

[QUOTE="Maqda7"][QUOTE="th3warr1or"] SCIENTIFIC Evidence? th3warr1orImpossible. Well was flying not impossible 3000years ago? Were holograms not impossible too? Those are irrelevant. Logically speaking, no science can really prove with substantial evidence that god exists.

Clearly, it is neither "evidence enough" for either the existence or non-existence of GodLook around you. Look at this planet. Look at us. Is that not evidence enough?

If i found the evidence to be solid. I would accept it's existence, but i probably wouldn't worship it.

I would accept that he exist, but not worshipping him.horgen123Wouldn't that be quite silly, since your fate(and in hence if he exists, afterlife and eternal punishment and stuff is real) is kinda in his hands lol.

These are some weird assumptions on the reasonings for the lack of belief in abrahamic religions.

Not really..., I think it's just as silly how you presume all those things based on the most common gods in our culture.
if i look at the universe I see how we are less than insignificant. why would a God create endless planets and star systems all just to decorate our sky? also if i look at our body I would say there's pretty stupid design. why is our waste system the same place as our pleasure? sounds pretty stupid. why don't we have separate tubes for breathing and eating so we don't choke? other mammals have that. why do we have vestigial organs?Look around you. Look at this planet. Look at us. Is that not evidence enough?

Well I did mention that the God I was referring to was the God of the Abrahamic faiths, so how is that silly? O.oPlease Log In to post.
