I heard that was a myth, I don't know if its true or not. What is true is that the band changed their sound, and their image to attract all of the myspace kids who are going through emotional and physical changes :lol:

Ok first of all, Avenged sevenfold ARE NOT EMO, theyre MetalCore Second of all: I see there are lots of A7X haters, thats fine, but the thing I hate is the fact that you haters make them sound like the worst band ever :S, I mean WTF? 3-They have stage names..so what ? 4-they are one of my favorite bands ever, they are awesome as simple as that, you dont like them , good for you, just dont diss them 5-I didnt fully listen to their first two albums but I loved "City of Evil" and "Waking the falling", theyre new album is good just not as good as the others, Almost Easy,Afterlife and Critical Acclaim are my favorite songs in it and Killswitch Engage is an awesome band too ;) (for all those who like it :) )Fach5at

I didn't like it either at first... I think if you liked their other albums then you should try their new album again. I got hooked after I got a little familiar with the songs. Unbound is a great one.

City of Evil and the self-entitled album are god-awful. However, I own and enjoy both Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and Waking the Fallen.

Their newer stuff is unlistenable.
