You don't necessarily have to be emo to listen to emo music. I mean I listen to a lot of emo and I'm far from being emo. And for the record, Avenged Sevenfold is not emo not in the slightest sense of the word.

I'm going to agree that Zakk is the better guitarist. Petrucci may have all the theory and fancy fretwork but I find all his music dull as hell to listen to.

In order to stay on topic, Synyster went to the same guitar school (GIT) as Paul Gilbert, which I find quite funny. Just like Michael Angelo Batio taught Tom Morello.
