Avenged Sevenfold aka A7X

I listened to them back when I gave metalcore a go. After about a month, I got rid of all the metalcore along with them. Just not my stuff. And yes, the stage names are lame. Cool stage names are the black metal ones. K.K Warslut, Fenriz, Nocturno Oculto, Dead, Euronymous, Necrobutcher, Hellhammer, Quorthorn, Count Grishnackh, Blasphemer, the list goes on.freek666

I agree. Even though I might sound like an elitist at time, I'm not as bad as some of the others. Like xero said, it's just that I dont like the music they make. Some of it sounds alright and is tolerable, but its not something that I can listen to on a regular basis. A few threads back I was actually trying to convince someone, I think Blood Scribe, that metalcore is still a sub genre of metal. Technically it's a fusion genre, but its all the same in the end.

Me too, it has to be. Avenged Sevenfold truely is an awful band. I can understand teens enjoying them, but if you're older than 18 and still enjoying them, you need to find better bands.

I understand that you think that this band is incredible super awesome! but I did too when I was about 16-17. I loved Waking the Fallen, but that was before I knew anything about music, and didn't do any online searching for new music. After about two years of gathering bands I found through various sources on the interwebs, I came to the conclusion Avenged Sevenfold is nothing special. They just appeal to a lot more people because they sing, and I think it really grates on the ears and the guitars/drums aren't anything great.

Eh not really, you just sound really naive by the way you think A7x is a mega-great-ultra-godly-super-group. I'm just going to go ahead and assume you don't like death metal because the vocals sound bad to your ears. If this is the case, don't worry, it took me a couple years to get into them, and a lot of people would agree you don't just get into them immediately.

If you do like death metal, I highly doubt you know of any non-myspace friendly bands of the genre. That's ok, you're 17, I had a crappy taste in music when I was that age.

they decided to change styles sure their old stuff was good i really do like it but their new stuff is not that bad either
