Alternative is the best genre out there, A Perfect Circle are a fantastico band and I've only seen a few fans of APC on GS, shame, have a listen and you will be surprised how good they really are.

Oh and yeah, Avenged Sevenfold have no talent, I hate screaming, and the vocals in that band, even so the instrumental is hideous.

All That Remains is one of the few Metalcore bands that i can tolerate...probably because you can here the Melodeath influence in their music :P

I bought "City of Evil" to check out the band, and from what I heard it was just average. Instrumental work wasn't bad, but they were just meh. In other words, I don't listen to them..

Why don't you tell me what you don't like about them exactly?

- lyrics are atrocious

- guitar is mediocre

- drumming is nothing I haven't heard before

- M Shadows is one of, if not the biggest douche lead vocalists I've ever seen. Not to mention his vocals are unbelieveably horrid. They make me want to stick thumb tacks in my ears they are unbearably whiny and nasally.

- they're "metal" for the mtv crowd (teeny bopper girls love the band's apperance, guys think they're awesome because they have skulls and other **** as their logo/imagery)

- They're gigantic sell-outs

I will just say that they are not the best musicians, but they are certainly above average and have written some very good songs. They deserve the fame that they have acquired much more than a lot of other muscial acts nowadays. If you don't like bat country, or Beast and the harlot then you are either a musical elitist or just don't like good music. What about sidewinder with its awesome latin feel at the end? Seize the day was an awesome ballad. I understand some of you insecure folk think you are too manly for ballads but the solo in seize the day was ridiculous. Stage names are dumb, but at least theirs sound cool. Much better than "slash" or "the edge" and don't get me started on the ridiculous death metal names... Anyway, they are pretty good. superheromonkey
