[QUOTE="haggard_korn"][QUOTE="Cerussite"] 1. Every single hair metal band on Earth, every single offshoot of a hair metal band on Earth, and every single band on Earth that includes someone who was previously in a hair metal band.
2. Scene pop. What normal people might call "emo" as innacurate a term as that is.
3. Most classic/progressive/hard rock groups. This includes bands like Rush, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd, etc.
4. Nickelback. Actually, while I'm at it, every post-grunge group on Earth. They're a dime a dozen, generic, radio-friendly bunch and I hate every single one of them. Every last soul. I don't see how bands like Breaking Benjamin and Creed got so big when they sound exactly like each other.
5. Korn. What garbage. In fact, all nu metal is garbage. Even bands influenced by nu metal. Evanescence seems to be a pretty big one. I'm going to extent that sentiment to a majority of what is now considered "alternative metal". Bands like System of a Down. I'm also going to take the liberty to extend that even further to progressive metal bands such as Tool and Dream Theater.
EDITED: Added to 5.

so, who do you like
Since I realize you're either going to flame me for posting bands you've probably never heard of, or probably have heard of but have only done that, or you're going to ignore this post altogether, I'll make this short:Saint Vitus, Boris, Autechre, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Black Flag, pre-The Quickness Bad Brains, Big Black, Dinosaur Jr, Husker Du, The Replacements, The Wipers, The Germs, Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, NoMeansNo, James Chance and the Contortionists, Sigur Ros, Tortoise, Slint, GY!BE, Do Make Say Think, The Magnetic Fields, etc. I've forgotten hip-hop, but whatever.
well in that post you said you dislike all the bands i like pretty much, i just wanted to know who you like =P
but we're even because i haven't even heard of any of those bands except Dinosaur Jr and Black Flag
