Dragonforce is an anomaly. They suck slightly less than Yngwie Malmsteen. I blame Guitar Hero for their underserved fame. Everyone says that they are the hardest to play on Guitar Hero, but on a real guitar, it is not that bad. Their music is cheesy and bad, despite how badly you have to bash your corny plastic guitar input controller.

Yngwie Malmsteen clearly knows how to compose amazing music.


And what is soul anyway? Emotion in music? Check, if that's the case. Everyone that hates on Yngwie never has a compelling argument. It's always something like "he can't write good music" or "his music doesn't have soul". It's bull****. He's a better composer than almost anything anyone listed on OT...
