Bands you don't get the appeal of?

oasis, my chemical romance, and tiger army. honestly, i think nekromantix and demented are go is way better than tiger army. Yet tiger army is the leading psychobilly band. i don't understand why.

Those death/black/what-the-****-ever metal bands that have a bunch of growling and talk about hating god (at least that's what I think they are about) :lol:. Thinking about their existence gives me some good comic relief, but as far as actually listening to them goes... I can't really do it.

Porcupine Tree, sure they're incredibly talented but I just find their music kind of boring.

Paramore has generic songs but... I can't get over Hayley Williams :P

I do like Carah Faye Charnow from Versant (was from Shiny Toy Guns but got kicked out/left) and their music is.... Well, each song is relatively different which is a good change.

She's hot too. TEHE.

Sorry, I know we're supposed to talk about overrated bands but... A lot of people said Paramore and, though I do agree that their music isn't original, Hayley Williams isn't a bad singer.

well that's understandable...I too have a lot of friends who are into progressive, but not really porcupine tree. In the end it just comes down to taste.

I agree with your 2 & 3. I do happen to enjoy LCD soundsystem though he is overrated probably. I would probably add MGMT to your list, as well as every band you hear on rock radio (Godsmack, three days grace, breaking benjamin, etc)

Well, the singers actually, well... sing, in that subgenre, as opposed to certain other subgenres. Me, I dunno. Not like I can name all that many bands. I'd say BrokenCYDE, but... it's not that I don't understand the appeal (likely because they just sound "edgy" to a younger crowd, I guess), it's just that they're really, really BAD.PannicAtack

Someone mentioned Kesha earlier... I concur. Completely lost on me.

Especially when she decides to do a song that has the same name as another, better song.

As a matter of fact, that's happenedbefore...

Dragonforce is an anomaly. They suck slightly less than Yngwie Malmsteen. I blame Guitar Hero for their underserved fame. Everyone says that they are the hardest to play on Guitar Hero, but on a real guitar, it is not that bad. Their music is cheesy and bad, despite how badly you have to bash your corny plastic guitar input controller.

completely agree. Although I do like PT....They aren't even in the same league as Pink Floyd......or KC for that matter. But I do know quite a few people who swear that PT are right up there with PF in a sense.......I have a really hard time wrapping my mind around that.....but hey it's all about personal taste in the end....who am I to argue?

ICP, Twiztid etc. I don't know how anyone likes the whole Juggalo thing.

Radiohead for me. For such a highly praised band, they do nothing for me.
