Best new album of 2009

The only album I want to buy this year:

I still need to hear Rammstein's new album.

I forgot The Church- Untitled 23. For anyone who likes psychadelic rock I recommend that.

Yeah its one of their best. They never stopped being good, but after a while they started to get a bit monotonous. This is definetley a return to form. You should also hear the super furry animals new album Dark days/ light years.

Same for me, very impressive album imo, i was thinking it was going to be like Riot! and just not particularly good, but i was wrong... lots of good songs, Misguided Ghosts is one of the best songs they've ever written.

Green Day's new album surprised me. I thought it was better than American Idiot. I didnt know Jet made a new album either.

Megadeth's Endgane is really good. As is the new Despised Icon album Day of Mourning.

EDIT: I forgot this was released in 2008.

It's still the best album of 2009, as far as I'm concerned.

Well, this is the last i bought, not sure if it's my favorite this year though.

They seem to be getting worse. I used:P to like them when their first few albums came out. Their new one isnt bad, but it feels a lot more generic. Kinda like the last Live album in how they started out great but got worse and more generic later on. You should listen to the band Sholi. Their debut album came out this year and its fantastic.

Maybe I just have to get into it more. its a bit of a different sound for them so I will give it some time. Sholi are an odd band, they are kinda psychadelic progressive pop, a bit like the super furry animals. I also suggest the new Islands album Vapours, and Japandroids debut album Post Nothing.
