Bronies have changed the internet for the worse

Now, before I begin I would like to clarify that I am not a Pony hater. I am in fact a Brony myself.
But I have to be completely honest; this fandom is just an annoyance.

Everywhere you go on the internet, absolutely everywhere, ponies...
I mean, I get the fandom. It's a good show, It's great fun and good for a laugh. But these people can't just enjoy it like me, they have to worship it.
And that, my friends, is the problem. EVERY freaking Brony worships it religiously. And with their numbers being so high, that means no escape, no rest from ponies. No matter what website you're on.

If we could tone it down, tone it down a LOT! That would just be so good. I'd like to be able to visit forums without Ranbow Dash shoved down my throat

i agree. honestly i don't like the show. i don't hate it, i just find it highly uninteresting.

but the fandom is absurd. So many people taking it to extreme levels. And acting as if they're priveleged. Honestly i think Deviantart has it the worst. I've stopped watching so many people because they abandoned their unique artstyles in pursuit of emulating the show's artstyle exactly. and in doing so, everyone's art is looking the same. not to mention all the cool characters they made up are all ponies now. some of them permanently. what a waste of good imagination.

Menh. I've learnt to deal with it. Its a direct consequence of having a die hard brony freind and posting on (unforteunately) the most MLP addicted sites online short of Equestria Daily.

I actually might check out the show if the brony comunity didn't turn me off so much.

It's bad until people start fantasizing about marrying/doing worse things with them. Srsly. They're freaking cartoons. Cartoons care about your needs just about as much as real life horses. Let alone make believe horses.

Though I don't understand furries, so I guess it's not my place to try and understand Bronies' feelings as well.

Only good things about the show is that it's made by the same people that made the Powerpuff Girls, and the voice actors (only really speaking for Tara Strong, since she's the only one I'm familiar with). And I find it more amusing than the NEW crap that's on CartoonNetwork, Disney, etc. probably because it's not ridden with "tweenish" jokes.

Definitely going to second what Riseth asked.

You'd have to either completely stay off the internet (the browser part), or completely avoid any of the popular "trend spewing" sites lol.

To be honest, I didn't even know MLP came out in late 2010, because I only started noticing the "Brony" movement I believe during the middle of last year. Must've not been that big in the beginning.

All I can say is that I don't "Hate" it, I just hate some of the people it created. Kind've makes me embarrased to be a man...lol

I think that the people that keep bringing up the brony thing are making the internet worse. I mean really, if there is a small percentage of these "bronies" that are making this huge fuss over MLP and they keep pushing their furry idealogy then just ignore it. I know ignoring things doesn't solve all problems but to get in a fuss over everyone that enjoys a cartoon is just ridiculous and silly.
