There is too much bullying in Gamespot.
What is the purpose of this forum if the users here don't know how to treat each other with respect?

its usually the guys who have a lot of posts but think theyre too good to post their own topics who are the grinches of gamespotJustSignedUpThose numbnuts? Ignore them.
I get stabbed at here and there, but I really couldn't care less what people who live thousands of miles away think of me. I can just close the site down and be free of it. Real life bullying is the real deal, and thankfully I never had any serious problems with that.
Couldn't really care less if I get any abuse from random people on here, its an internet forum, and you will always get people who act like dicks over the internet, it's not like I'll see anyone on here in real life.

that's no way to build a proper forum. censorship is needed, even the original Greek forums recognized that.

That's too bad and here I was coming up with all these scenarios.I agree. There is far too much bullying on here. People don't realize that cyber bullying can be just as emotionally damaging as real life bullying. Yes, they can always close the page and leave. But why should they have to?Â
The internet in general is an incredibly rough place. This place isn't that bad all things considered. It still requires a relatively thick skin, I'm not sure if the admin want it that way though.
I do wonder if a lack of anonymity could change the ease at which people become online sociopaths. Not that anyone would be willing to give that up.
I wonder if there is anything else that could make people stop and consider that the hurtful thing they are about to say is to someone who is not all that different from themselves.

No. Examples: myspace, facebook. People will be jerks, anonymity has nothing to do with it.
While I do know that people are jerks on facebook all the time, I also know that I am personally far more restrained with my opinions on facebook (as opposed to gamespot) precisely because I don't want to upset people that are my friends and family. Granted I know people who apparently couldn't give a f*ck about such things on my facebook, but still I couldn't possibly be the only person who acts this way on facebook. Those numbnuts? Ignore them. Yes, ignore them. Like all bullys they are sad people you will never be able to help. It's best just to move on and not take what they say seriously.[QUOTE="JustSignedUp"]its usually the guys who have a lot of posts but think theyre too good to post their own topics who are the grinches of gamespotHexagon_777
Bullying? I know that people often will have different oppinions on here, sometimes people say things that hurts others although it was not the meaning behind the words.
But rarely have I noticed bullying.
At worst we have the Forum Trolls, but they are pretty much just the rambling madmen of any kind of forums, more or less the nets Village Idiot.
Maybe I simply don't notice such things anymore :\ makes me kind of sad to think of -.-
