This sort of religious hatred (from the other side), ironically, was part of the reason 9/11 happened.

saw the moron who is organizing this on CNN earlier today. =/
I won't bite. I've got better things to do than indulge in attention seeking idiots. How do they pay the bills with this behavior? How do they function and sustain themselves and have jobs? Ah well.
Im starting to think that Hating on Islam gets people in higher positions in the western world. We will see how this plays out but im starting to get under the impression that hating islam gets election votes, people to recognize who you are, higher position in politics, and great book/movie reviews and even some money for your organization that preaches islamaphobia. When jews get hated on its anti semetic and you will either lose ur job or credibility, when christians get hated on its not that really a big of a deal because most of the times the people that are hating are just athiests who hate religion altogether, but when islam gets hated on you see a type of determination for keeping the hate on islam or muslims. The funniest thing in all of this hate is that Muslims arent really the ones invading other countries or have a history of invading other countries when it comes to the last century of events. We tend to hate muslims for killing our american soldiers when its our american soldiers that are miles away from america.
This sort of religious hatred (from the other side), ironically, was part of the reason 9/11 happened.Well, guess what? As much as we don't like it, haters gonna hate the haters of the haters who hated that haters who started hating the haters because they hated something that the haters liked.SgtKevali

in short I hate you :PAww, thanks :PThe "person" doing this publicity stunt probably has no idea that he will end up getting someone killed over this, maybe even lots of people, some or all of whom will most likely be American soldiers somewhere over seas. I hope he's proud with the blood that will be on his hands, and that his god forgives him.Im starting to think that Hating on Islam gets people in higher positions in the western world. I doubt that there is a logical explanation. They are trying to prove to themselves that their god is better than the other god.
I think it should be fairly obvious to all of us by now that there are ALOT of people around the world who use religion as an excuse for anything, which leads us to the reason why religions are misunderstood.okay...so fanatic idealist muslims killed americans....thats bad....but stepping out against an entire religion because some of the fanatics twisted the words of peace in the koran doest justify that kind of behaviour...i mean lets face it...no one looks back on the spanish inquisition as glorious....but it was a twisted fanaticism that lead that....and while burning the koran isnt as bad as that....it shows how ignorant americans really are becoming...or how brainwashed and ignorant the socalled christian community is becoming...if a mosque in america burned a bible as a public outcry against christiandom...that church would feel horribly offended and angry and feel that it was uncalled for...so this is just idiotic to say the least...christianity is all about living with the sinner and planting the seeds of christ and being at peace and acting christlike....i never once saw christ burn a ottomon book or desecrate a roman church of the gods....so...what gives them the rights as christians to go so far as to alienate another religion....whose principles are very similar to their own...

All though they both worship the same God, the one with a son named Jesus.
I live about an hour away from Gainesville and I don't know how things are down there but where I live we have a lot of Middle Eastern, and Asian people. So the religion is pretty diverse I have Christian friends, Muslim friends, and even some Buddhist friends.
[QUOTE="fabz_95"]Wow, do they understand just how offensive that is to Muslims?clyde46I think thats the point. It says they're doing it to commemorate the 9/11 attack. So just because extremists from one religion did a horrible thing means you should offend the entire Islamic community? How does burning Qu'raans show respect for those that died anyway :?.

We muslims dont worship the same god.Christians believe Jesus is god.We believe Jesus was a messenger or prophet of god.Big difference.[QUOTE="higgydiggy"][QUOTE="shinian"]

Yes we do.Before Mohammed there have been many other prophets like Jesus,Abraham,Moses,David etc. but the final prophet was Mohammed(PBUH).In our religion we believe that all prophets are to be given respect.
This sort of thing is silly. It's like if you argue with your sibling. Do you think if you beat the heck out of your brother/sister and screamed abuse at them it would...SOLVE the problem?Jaguar_ShadeHeh.
For once, you're not talking silly. =3
Or tackling.

Childish, stupid, Idiotic, re(-arded, and an absolute waste of time. Seriously offended by this. I hope an accident happens that really hurts this guy.
