Moderator did a poor job of selecting questions.

Only one question on Libya? What about Afghanistan and Iraq? What about IRan?

Wasn't this supposed to be about Foreign policy? This entire debate was primiarly double down taking points from the last debate.

The final debate is gonna be on foreign policy. Should provide some hilarity.

Obama's answer was cringe worthy about why prices were low in 2008. I agree though, there a so many factors outside the president's control that effect gas prices, it is a silly question.

that would be awesome. Never gonna happen because people still apparently believe the president plays a major roll in gasoline. And that's despite both major parties arguing the opposite at one point or another.

He brought that up and quite expertly alluded to Romney taking gas prices down the same way.

I just wanted to point out your hypocrisy. You get on Obama for "dodging" the question but no one has done it more than Romney, lol. Does anyone know what his policy on anything is for sure? No. Me doing this does not imply I don't care about the Americans that died in Libya, don't know where you're getting that from..DaJuicyMan

When Romney dodges a question concerning an attack that has gotten Americans killed I'll be on him for it too. He hasn't, though. He's not the President. He's not in the position to get to the bottom of what happened.

Well she still got pushed around as well... They were supposed to get two minutes and spent far more talking and the likes... She had a list of them and was reading down it... At the beginning she probably felt they would get to far more questions...

It does, since you were implying that GS is so biased that even after Obam's poor showing in the last debate the majority still thought he won. Btw, in most direct polls relating to political affiliation its roughly 55% Democrat/Liberal 45% Republican/Conservative, or atleast it has in the past.

I meant more on why they are where they are now. The asset bubble inflated prices, they then dropped.rapidly. The prices for gas has risen fairly steadily since and values on homes and the like have stayed stagnant. Further pointing to the issue that the President doesn't have anything to do with gas prices imo.

Yeah, it was something like who is responsible for denying the security request. Obama and Hillary obviously didn't make the decision, so who did and when will they be fired/charged?

Ok. Thanks for backing off the stupid notion I don't care about the Americans that died in Libya. Btw, you admit the economy/taxes is the number one issue, but it appears you are more upset about Obama ducking a question, in your eyes that isn't the biggest issue for this campaign than you are at Romney for ducking the question that is? Huh?

Didn't watch it. But I think Romney should've followed Pirate700s advice from a previous thread:

[QUOTE="JML897"]

[QUOTE="Pirate700"]

[QUOTE="whipassmt"] Sweet Chin Music.

Pirate700

Romney should start appearing at events to HBK's music. It would be an instant win.

:lol: That would be hilarious.

Then when he comes out, he can step in front of Obama, do the arm flex pose and have all the pyro effects go off.

Debate was largely a tie. Personally I though Obama had a considerable advantage in that he actually answer how he wants to do things. Romney just says he wants things to be better.

At the very least, this debate will reinvirgorate the supporters of Obama who were drawn back by his last performance.

Considering you have no idea what you are talking about... Shut the f-ck up...

The government has policies on how they do things... Simply requesting extra security doesn't mean you are entitled to it... If they had no evidence at the time of a security threat then why would the state department send more people? Did they have evidence? What was the state department's reasoning at the time... YOU DON'T F-CKING NO... So f-cking stop it.

If I am in a dry area and want to get fire insurance on my building because forest fires happen a lot, and the insurance company says no, a forest fire isn't enough justification, and then an arsonist sets my building on fire... Sure the insurance company is in the spotlight for not giving me the insurance for fire when a fire did the damage but their decision was based on forest fires... Not a f-cking arsonist.

Obama won this one. Both sides were ackward interrupting each other, the moderater, and dodging questions.

I just keep coming back to one thing. "I have done it." Romney has balanced budgets, created jobs and improved schooling. Romney has private sector experience and know how to encourage private job growth, because he LIVED IT. I dont comprehend why anyone would believe someone like Obama who has zero private sector experience, and has never balanced a budget.

He didn't answer it. He didn't tell us who in the state department was responsible. I'm tired of this double-standard. In the military if you fvcked up so bad that it got someone killed you were done. That isn't happening here when it should be.

Ballancing a budget in a business where you can act unilaterally and simply cut whatever you want or in a state government/olympic committee where you receive government subsidies is not the same as balancing a budget in a government where you have no power to effect any change yourself and are powerless to cut anything you want at all. That is a sh-tty argument...

C2N2

When I was in the military security was paramount. If security was needed, it was given. Funding wasn't even mentioned, nor taken into consideration. So I think I know a great deal more about the issue than you do.

[QUOTE="mattbbpl"]He answered that one in the only way anyone in a leadership position can/should. You can't throw your team mates under the bus and publicly out them.airshocker

He didn't answer it. He didn't tell us who in the state department was responsible. I'm tired of this double-standard. In the military if you fvcked up so bad that it got someone killed you were done. That isn't happening here when it should be.

Perhaps he is gone and/or reprimanded, I don't know. As commander in chief it's something he has to handle - and something he has to take ultimate responsibility for.

I would never have publicly thrown one of my team mates under the bus, and had Obama done so here he would have lost a lot of respect in my eyes.

[QUOTE="Mafiree"][QUOTE="Abbeten"] that's basically the reason why there were that low though. blaming china wouldn't have made any sense.Abbeten
I meant more on why they are where they are now. The asset bubble inflated prices, they then dropped.rapidly. The prices for gas has risen fairly steadily since and values on homes and the like have stayed stagnant. Further pointing to the issue that the President doesn't have anything to do with gas prices imo.

ohhhhhkay i see candidates will never say that it's out of their hands though because undecided voters are idiots and will see that as abdication of responsibility

"This is America. We don't have kings because that's for commies and terrorists, who are the ones raising gas prices. This is why we must spread democracy, which will create jobs. This is why we need Canada's pipeline, but my opponent supports the Queen, Bloc Quebecois and environmentalist extremists. This is raising the unemployment rate and the national debt we are giving to China and their currency manipulation. On day one, I will reverse all of this. A vote for me is a vote for freedom. God bless the U.S.A."

Wish I could have fluently integrated Iran, nuclear weapons, and guns.

As far as you could call a winner, I think it was Romney. Every time I heard Obama speak, I found myself wanting to shout at the TV for him to answer the question. Women's paygrades? A story about grandma. Libya? A story about the dead ambassador. Whenever he was asked about anything, the president told a story in lieu of actually answering the question. Either that or he spent his time attacking Romney. To be fair, Romney did the same thing pretty often, but I actually did get an answer out of him from time to time.

[QUOTE="mattbbpl"]Are you referring to the question, "Who turned down the request for more security to the embassy?"C2N2

Yeah, it was something like who is responsible for denying the security request. Obama and Hillary obviously didn't make the decision, so who did and when will they be fired/charged?

Airshocker is actually spot on here. It's pretty obvious that Obama effed up. I think Obama got the better of Romney in that exchange (which must have been incredibly hard to given that facts weren't on his side), but Airshocker is right. If this were Bush I would be just as pissed as Airshocker is now.

AdamPA1006
"Private sector experience" is meaningless. Plus Obama has more of said experience than Romney's own running mate.
