I don't know if anyone else posted this, but The Young Turks have covered the story, just as I predicted.

Does it really matter? We already know that he hates women's rights, higher education, and contraception. If you still like him after all that will him being racist really stop you?
Serraph105
The whole thing about him being against higher education is a fallacy; he's got a BA, MBA and a Docterate. The statement people use against him about that is completely taken out of context. You can agree or disagree with the point he was trying to make with it (that it's arrogant to assume that everyone needs to go to college to have a fruitful life), but it's not anti-education.
Personally I won't be voting for the guy, because I really think he's way too focused on social issues, and even if I agreed with his views on those (which I don't, often times), the president has very little power over social issues.
As for the him almost saying n-, seriously people? I doubt it. Talk about hearing only what you want to hear.
You don't need to make crap like this "n-word slip" up to make him a poor candidate.

The guy has literally decades of public speaking experience and is highly educated. Do you ACTUALLY think he would say that?

People have already covered dozens of things he could have been saying. I honestly don't even think that he was trying to say something that sounds like that. I think that he started a word and aborted it and it sounded unfortunate. It's happened to me irl, so I really don't see it as a huge leap that it happened to him.
There's a great video of someone getting introduced on a news show as a "Contributor" and the anchor stumbles "cont" and it sounds exactly like an unfortunate word. It happens. Wish I could find the video though, because it's pretty funny.
Besides, talk about a fallacy--that he has religious conservative beliefs all the sudden makes him a racist as well is ridiculous. Alan Keyes is an ultra social-conservative with a doctorate, he must be a racist too (hint: he's black).

He's a social conservative, things he says are bound to be homophobic or at least constrewed as such (which is to say, if you say anything remotely critical of an aspect of homosexual culture, you're labled a homophobe).
But that doesn't make you a racist. Logical fallacy--he hasn't said racist things.
Again, you don't need to make crap up to make him a bad candidate; it just devalues the arguement.

I'm a republican and I think we should withdraw from Afghanistan.
BUT
I would support a war to prevent Iran from gaining a nuclear weapon, regardless of the president. In fact, I believe that the current Democratic president has more or less said that's what it will come to if sanctions ultimately fail.

It was anti-education, anti-college to be specific. Worse yet he lied about Obama actually said which was that Obama wanted all Americans to have the opportunity to go to college as opposed to wanting everyone to go to college and become "Obama-lites".
I already knew that he went to college himself and that makes his statement all the more hypocritical.

Santorum is insane and anything but good presidential choice if the n word is what think is the worst thing he has said then they need helpelbert_b_23mmhmm same goes for newt gingrich.. that man believes in child slavery and the teachings of the literary works of hitler himself

When talking about gays Rick Santorum quote: "...is one of the only things I see eye to eye with the Taliban." and that the gay lifestyle is a "deathstyle". Its incredible how someone like that can run for office as successfully as he has. That is not what should be in the mind of any potential leader of the 'free' world.
Santorum might as well just hang it up and quit. He just lost all of the independent voters with that remark. He should give all of his delegates to Gingrich.topsemag55
lol
Gingrich should throw in the towel as well; he's hardly better than Santorum in the independents category.

If he's anti one thing, it's anti-faculty. And honestly, having gone to college, he's actually on to something in the sense that most of the faculty are ultra-liberals. Conversely, I also think he's exaggeratingquite a bit, since I only had a few that outright spewed their political leanings openly and constantly. Of course, I went to a CSU in the central valley (CA), so it was probably a "relatively" conservative school.
He's just pandering to the right in a primary. Shocker.
Obama was a black-power domestic terrorist simpathizer when he was in college, and attended a church ran by a terorrist sympathizing bigot for a decade (because it was politically viable in Chicago) and people were just like... "meh, he just did it to get elected." (the church part; he actually was a radical in college, though I'm pretty sure he's grown out of it)
It's what politicians do.

Oy maybe he was trying to say niggles or some form of niggle... but relized it was not propper grammar.
He might have been calling the President a Niggler.
niggle (ˈnɪɡ ə l)
— vb
1.( intr ) to find fault continually
2.( intr ) to be preoccupied with details; fuss
3.( tr ) to irritate; worry
— n
4.a slight or trivial objection or complaint
5.a slight feeling as of misgiving, uncertainty, etc
[C16: from Scandinavian; related to Norwegian nigla. Compare **** ]
'niggler
— n
'niggly
— adj
It perfectly fits what he is saying.
The guy is a well-known dumbass and the biggest redneck to ever exist, so I highly doubt that his vocabulary includes that word.
