There is no such thing as an emo.

And the reason scene kids cut themselves is because that is how they handle their emotional pain and stress. Everyone handles their's in different methods.

I personally would cry if someone cut me. I'd just rather use an exit bag with helium really, all that blood is scary.

that's nonsense, they cut themselves for attention. i've met a couple actual cutters, and they cut themselves in places where people aren't going to see it. emos cut their wrists, so people will see it.

It don't like the way some look at me, they look at me like I have a "666" scar on my face. Not all but they look at me like that. What? Does my Children of Bodom shirt offend you?

Edit: These are people in general, some happen to look like an "emo".

It relieves mental pain, the loss of blood causes a mild calming effect, easing one's pain.

Now that I think about it getting a bleeding nose is a lot easier, but apparently they think the scars look cool too.

Seriously, if you had to put a label on whatever the heck it is that you like/are, what other word would best describe it other than emo? You can't deny the existance of a word, because people have made it to describe a certain thing whether you like it or not. For example you can argue that gay is just a word for happiness, but the people of todays age have defined it as something else compleatly.

That's worse! The people that do that need to snap out of it or do that to their neck. If someone's gonna cut themself for fun or because of depression, they're better off dead IMO.

I'll say what I meant in a nicer way because I probably offended someone and I'm sorry. I think that the people who cut themselves should find someone to help them out with the pain they're going with. After all they're human, right? Everyone gets depressed now and then and that post I said earlier, it wasn't all "emo" people. It was people that had dyed hair covering one eye and some other random people.

They're an urband legend. I've literally never seen a single person under these descriptions people are always giving...."Emo"...As far as I know they just don't exist here in Northern California. I guess the people here are just happier and therefore don't have a need to become all sad or something.

But the "way they act" is a false stereotype at best. There is no "code of emo" that people base their actions on.
