Marriage isn't natural either. Are you against marriage?

I was visiting a friend's church on Sunday and they were talking about repenting your sins and they starting making a list of sins and said "Cheaters, liars, alcoholics, drug abusers, homosexuals..." and I was thinking, people become cheaters, liars, alcoholics, and drug abusers at their own risk and they can stop themselves from becoming that way, a person can't help if they're homosexual.xTw1st4x
Granted you can have your opinion, but it's not necessarily right. I'm sure there are people in the world who chose ot become homosexuals. My gf went to a super-liberal arts school that was mostly girls. These guys were surrounded by poon 24/7 and percentage-wise, more gay guys come out of that school than any other high school in my town...because if your in dance, arts, or theatre in a very liberal community there can actually be peer pressure towards homo or bisexuality. She knows guys who performed fellatio and they look back and say "I was never gay but I did it because it was what everyone thought was cool"....this actually happens
As to your actual question (is it a sin?). I think the definition of sin has something to do with disrupting the relationship between you and God, but let me put it this way: Christians have to admit that God adheres to moral and ethical logic or else their god aint so perfect afterall. If a person can justify themselves (and the the funny thing is that they wouldn't even need to argue it, because God would know if they were right or wrong) as being a good moral person then it really doesn't matter if somebody thinks its a sin.
That being said I'd like to mention that I'm a homophobe and I am discriminatory so beware the bias.
[QUOTE="MagnumPI"]Haha, so true. :P[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"][QUOTE="lucas_kelly"]If "god" didn't want people to be gay them maybe he shouldn't make them gaySolidSnake35
He didn't make them gay they malfunctioned, but no one sent them back to the factory before the warranty expired.
Continuing with your analogy, either God knew they would malfunction or wouldn't make something that wouldn't be as he intended.there is only one explanation then:
God is China. He is sending out faulty products and knows it, only he wont do anything about it. Boycott Chinagod! Boycott Walmart!
To all christain religions: if it's gross to someone, it's a sin. I consider the whole of christianity utter bull****, so really I don't think anything's a sin. I think gay sex is gross and I don't want to do it, but I don't give a flying **** if anyone else does as long as I don't have to hear about the details.

That's your opinion, and you are entitled to it. But one of your points is completely wrong. "If it's gross to someone, it's a sin" What exactly are you implying? Is eating rotten eggs a sin just because it's gross? I don't think so. Get some relevance and then come back with something.

noone can know if a person chooses to be homosexual or not. some people say they chose to be it, others say they were born with it.
Yes I believe so. It came out of Jesus's lips, and I believe in God, so therefore, I do think it is a sin.3eyedrazorback
Now this is just ignorant. Jesus never said anything about homosexual practice, only S.t. Paul and the writer of Leviticus. Not only this, neither mentions homosexuality, i.e. homosexual feelings. If this was so important in Jesus' ministry that those who acted on their homosexual feelings were beyond salvation, I find it unlikely that this would not be recorded.

I think there can be no doubt that the cause of homosexuality is not someone's concious decision. Quote me one homosexual who claims they chose to be so.

iian mccellan had a wife and 3 kids... a few years ago he decided he wanted to be gay
why do people make such a big deal about it? the homosexual group it seems like treat it like a disease that they get. and proud of it. it just seems like a lifestyle choice... i have a lot of homosexual friends. some say they were born with it. one was molested by his father, so after that he was raised by his mother who taught ballet so he was around that all the time. one had a girlfriend all of high school and then in college he just broke up with her and became homosexual.. i've had friends from both ends of the spectrum so i dunno really. but if it wasn't a choice there would be something in their dna that would show it so that's why i'm saying that it's most likely a choice.

No, they don't 'decide' to become homosexual. They are afraid to face it all their lives because of bigoted people, and finally decide to quit deceiving everyone, and announce their homosexuality. You have it all wrong.

and you know this how?
i didn't judge my friends when they decided to become homosexual. noone i know judged them, not even the very conservative ones ok? and he lives close to friggin san francisco for crying out loud... come on you're the one who needs to stop being closed minded.
Its a disgusting sin. Aids is not a reward.Billy_BudHeterosexual couples can spread AIDS too you know. :|
Sin is subjective, not objective. People like to point the finger and call other people demons because of their sins, but when they themselves sin, they block it out or choose to ignore it. In other words, people who call other people sinners for their short comings or lifestyle are truly hypocrite scum.Jambi86
The question was "is homosexuality a sin ?", not "do you sin?"
[QUOTE="mohfrontline"]America is on the verge of economical collapse and here we are debating whether homosexuality is a sin or not. Wow.KH-mixerX
Economical collapse? Maybe Michigan. You need to pay attention to the stock market more and stop watching so much MSNBC.
I don't think you understand. 3 trillion national debt, trade with china is going down the drain, and our entire manufacturing industry is gone. MSNBC doesn't cover this stuff. They only talk about Iraq.

Nice generalization there.

just to add to the fact, the average age of an average homosexual male is 49 years old. Look it up yourself.mohfrontlineI'm sure I can find the average age of the average white male in the United States and post it here. That doesn't mean that little fact is relavent.

One of my firends has always been gay Most gays don't choose certainly, they just repress it because they fear what others would say.
