I admit to having a prejudice against people who wear those clothes, especially Abercrombie and Hollister...although for Hollister it makes me think they're from the suburbs, I don't think we have one of those stores in the City? And I'm prejudice against the suburbs too XD And yes I think they're stuck up and too rich for their own good, I mean those clothes are so overpriced!!!! I almost feel bad for the A&F employees who have to buy all these A&F clothes at a high price just so they can attend work every day..

I also admit to owning 3 pieces of clothing from A&F tho ;x Found'em for $10 and the sweater for $20, can't argue with that =D Plus their sizes fit well!

I dislike the brands and don't wear them. No originality = fail. I wear mostly band t-shirts or graphic tees i get from some sites and a bit of PacSun stuff here and there.

The only one i "hate" is Hollister, trying to sell this surfer attitude to 14 year old kids living in Ohio. Also, the store itself is pretty "arrogant" for the lack of better word.

It's quite ironic that those clothes are made here, in mexico for next to nothing. Then they are sent to the U.S and we go to the U.S and buy them for $40. I mean, i once saw a horrible POS sweater for like $300. I lost a bit of faith for humanity that day.

While I do not care for the whole "prep" look at all, I am not going to hate someone because of it. It does get a tad irritating to see so many people walking around school wearing those brands sometimes, but again, I am not going to hate people's guts' over their clothes.

I think those people lack personal style and just go with the crowd, but sometimes not. But I'm not the type to judge. It is just clothing.

I want to know what all of these people who are saying these brands lack originality wear on a daily basis. Gaudy piercings, band shirts, long hair, torn jeans, tattoos =/= originality.TheSystemLord1

Implying that everyone who does not wear A&F and all those surfer brands are metals heads/emos are we?

No way, I know some very likable people who wear 'preppy' clothes. Still I don't really like the style - it just doesn't apeal to me.

Indeed. I'm currently just wearing a plain red long sleeve shirt with green pants. Most of my clothes are like this.

I do not fit his description at all.

colorful plaid shorts, whatever T-shirt stands out and feels comfortable (I like volcom but anything goes) or just plain T shirts/longsleeves, orange Nike sb's, ankle socks, nice jeans. I have long hair but I pretty much do not fit your description at all /fail

You can get clothes that look exactly the same at wal-mart. People just like to fit in with brand-names.

Some people actually just like the brand, but you know this holds true a lot of the time.

[QUOTE="authorityissues"]Dude. I've been friends with many people who wear those clothes and many of them are really nice people. Disliking someone because they wear 'stuck-up' clothes is 'stuck-up.' Double standard, right there.

No. You can't dislike a store for any reason, and the people wearing it, are just that, people. They don't have generalized personalities dependent on their wardrobe, they act like individuals, you're just to much of a blatant ignorant to see that.

Edit: Lol, sorry, that was meant to go out to all of the Negative posters on this topic.

This doesn't make any sense since I know as many people who don't wear the clothes form the stores mentioned who are as stuck-up or even more so. Clothes do not make a person stuck-up. Using the logic of the TC I should be able to come to the conclusion that people who wear Marc Ecko, FuBu, and other urban hiphop-centric clothes are all gangbangers or drug-dealers.

No, not really.

What I do dislike, however, is people wearing Volcom or Von Dutch or *shiver* John Deere hats (assuming they dont actually work on a farm).

Seriously though I dont judge people unless they have a lot of gel in their hair and their collars popped.

is this a thread meant to criticize people who stereotype? it it was, id have to say blog it, and also ive noticed that too; most of the preppie types at my school are pretty nice people. most of the obnoxious people ive met in my high school wear 'skater' clothes (etnies, element, vans, dc, krew, etc.).

Judging one by what they choose to wear is as pointless as judging someone by what music they listen to, or the things they like to do, etc. I judge through personality.

I USED to wear that kind of stuff, but that was because I was just a kid back then that really couldn't decide for myself and because my mom wanted me to wear 'neat' clothes .Like what the other people said, it was boring and looked like a walking billboard.

You can't assume all of them are stuck up you know.

I know some good people who wear those brands.

Still, I hate stuck up people all around. I don't judge people by what they wear usually.

I don't hate anyone really so no.

It's just a fad but I'm pretty sure most people wear it to look nice. It's just that those type of shirts have real no variety in them. A couple weeks ago my 3 of my friends were wearing the same AE polo and were sitting at the same table at lunch. It looked pretty funny.

I wear A and F and hollister. The only reason i wear it is because the clothes are really comfy. They might be expensive but i like the feel of the shirts (not to light but not to heavy). and i like the feel of the shorts.

I do not hate people who wear the clothes as i am from basically white suburbia and most people around wear this stuff around here.

Its just clothes it does not matter what you wear if your cool with me im cool with you.

Don't hate the people who wear it, but come onI went to highschool and that's what everyone wore. And quess what, they were more often stuck up club hoppers/Partiers and said some of the most dumb crap in the world, but also at the same time you had the stuck up "Alternative Kids" who wore the other stuff, and no it wasn't cheap.

And also I'm tired of people calling others stuck up, most people here judging by the way you type to others here and a so nose-up about your so called "Knowledge" are pretty stuck up. Hell I found stuck up people working in a McDonalds when I was working there because they can flip a burger better than the next guy.

If I had to choose who I hate most based on clothing choice or just the clothing I would say worst, to least worst

1.People who wear high end fashion and don't have the money to actually back it up, one outfit breaks their banks.

2. Hot Topic posers (yes people who wear band tee's and not having a dang idea who the band is)

3. Prep Store wearers , AE, A&F, Aero, Hollister

4.The so called no-conformist true indivisual.
