It annoys me more when people can speak English but chat in their language when they want a private conversation.SolidSnake35Yeah...I have noticed that Indians that are always in the malls where i live tend to do that a lot =/
It does annoy me. A tourist or someone on vacation is one thing, but people who live here that dont annoy me. If you decide to come here.. that is great, but learn the language. Too many people dont speak English and make no effort to learn it which is absurd. You should not be given legal residency or citizenship without speaking English. Diablo112688I'm good with spanish. spanish is like second nature to me... anything else i cant do.
To be truthfully honest, it does annoy me. If you're going to live in America, learn the language, and learn it correctly. tomxizormy friend is polish and when his grandparents moved here they didnt speak a word of english but that didnt stop them from learning english.....

People all over the world would have every right to adopt this policy. If you want to live in Japan that badly, learn at least the basics of the language.
I can't even begin to imagine living in a country where I don't know at least some of the language =/ Even going on holiday for a week, it frustrates me if I can't attempt to make some form of communication with the people who live there.

If they can better express themselves in their own language when talking to another person who is also fluent, doesn't it make more sense for them to speak that language? How intolerant...
You sir would divide the world and be the cause of WW2.5.People all over the world would have every right to adopt this policy. If you want to live in Japan that badly, learn at least the basics of the language.

If there was a worldwide phonetic language, with whatever alphabet, that would be great.s0uthpawwYes it would be great.
I get annoyed the most when they don't even know ANY English, I mean c'mon at least learn a bit of English if your planning on visiting, or immigrating here.-911-
That's right. Did you know the Netherlands is so dumb, we speak english to you, rather you talking dutch to use. And then think of all the money the State (kingdom) gives to all the none workers. ..wich most of 'hem are moslims. no offence;)

Sony could greatly turn their whole “rumble” ordeal around in the eyes of the gamer if they incorporate Immersion’s latest ‘TouchSense’ technology over what was used in the PS2 controller. We got to try their new rumble technology first hand and we must say it’s a better experience than what you’re feeling today by leaps and bounds. The controller just doesn’t rumble, in rumbles in a way that matches your on-screen experience. Shotguns feel like bursts, machine guns have rapid but distinct sensations, and the all powerful light saber hums in the palms of your hand. ‘TouchSense’ is rumble for the next-generation. Time will only tell if Sony intends to include their Immersion’s latest technology.

Firstly, I'm female. Secondly, this is a huge over-reaction. Is it really so wrong to expect someone to learn the language of the country they live in!? Sure, if someone is a refugee, and has a good reason to need to leave their home country, they should be welcomed anywhere. But if someone just thinks, "hey, it'd be really cool to live in Japan" (or any other country, for that matter), it's only fair that they learn the basic language and customs of the place they wish to live.

Hmmm .. I can agree to that, but you must understand something, my last post wasn't serious. It is rather hard to get jokes to come across correctly on the interwebs sometimes.Hmmm .. Sorry.... I only got about 4 hours sleep last night, so I'm feeling a bit grumpy, and jumping on the chance to start yelling at people. Usually, I would have thought, "hmm, this probably isn't entirely serious..." before replying.
In fact, I think I'm gonna get some sleep now... so tired...

It doesn't annoy me at all really that people come to the US and cannot speak of a lick of it actually. But I do like to see people actually try to learn english. This does not mean laws should be in effect for anyone moving here. Of course for anyone moving here, they should know the important customs before coming (or else people might get offended). Thats my honest oppinion on that one. You should sleep .. sleepy head :Pif they live where i live then yes. but not if i went overseasyamum2
Yeah, your talking about a timely visit:P
p.s. the spelling check is out:P
