what do you think about it?
i think it's a stupid idea. wasn't it already decided that not buying gas on a certain day doesn't cause them to lose money because you will still have to buy gas the next day?

Yea that's pretty stupid. "don't buy it 'this' day, but it 'this' day instead"... You bought the gas, the day doesn't matter all that much. And ^ you'll, at most, hurt the gas stations income, not the oil company's.
Even if this made sense under the law of supply and demand gasoline prices haven't been reflecting supply and demand for years now.
That's a stupid idea. That simply defers payment until a day or two later, thereby not removing any money from the oil companies. If you really want the idea to work, have a "Don't drive on X day". That reduces consumption, and consequently, profit.
I think everyone should take there horses to the gas stations and let them poop everywhere. Maniacc1Now this is an idea to get behind! Who's in? *hand in center* People should join in now since starfox15 works at one.
Count me in.
I don't leave the house on Sundays. Jakes on them.
-Toshy-
Dude, you're gonna steal their info an charge them for a bunch of Jake's pizzas to be delivered to you?
Where are you?
The gas stations already purchase the gas. It would be hurting them more than the oil companies if I'm not mistaken. It would take more than a single day to persuade gas companies to drop their prices..
I'm not driving anyways. I've decided to ride a bike instead of giving my money to oil and gas companies that are gouging with their prices. I've been considering on buying an E-bike Conversion Kit to use if I want to cruise around. At a possible speed of 50 MPH, I'll be able to travel long distances in a short amount of time. Invest in a solar panel charger and I'll never need to worry about a dying battery on the trip home from where ever I'm at...
almost as bad as TC's theory.. consumption or volume of sale does not have a direct causation to profit. unless you assume margins to be static where volume between cases is not .......That's a stupid idea. That simply defers payment until a day or two later, thereby not removing any money from the oil companies. If you really want the idea to work, have a "Don't drive on X day". That reduces consumption, and consequently, profit.

This is so pointless. You're still buying gas the day before or after so sales would be higher than normal. It will have no impact what so ever.ExoticAnimal^^^ This. If we did a 3-5 day protest, I feel like there would be more of an impact because that puts schedules back a half of a week... but 24 hours is not much.
