Barack Obama has been cracking some jokes recently (does it have to be funny to be a joke?) so they probably just wanted to join in.
God, it's douchebags live. And to think I had so much respect for Doug Benson after Super High Me. Not only is there barely any semblance of news in there, not only is there a total lack of any kind of dissent, but it basically amounts to a bunch of idiots throwing around stereotypes and unsubstantiated, sensationalistic crap. Russia is going to use Canada as a staging ground for an invasion? What is this, 1950? It should be illegal to call that news. TMZ has more of a claim to being legitimate news than that.
No, its not joke news. Its just biased news. Just like MSNBC
My advice is to watch both, pick out the facts, and come out with a hapy medium
Honestly BBC is the only close-to-accurate news out there, at least for an American.
Yeah. That little frat of idiots really pissed me off. I lived in Canada for a few years and it ain't much different from the States at all. "Our police officers drive heavily armed vehicles, they ride on horses" God just shut up you fool sitting next to a bimbo.

It's a called a joke. They are making poking fun at the traditional "steroetypes" more than the actual Canadian people. It's not like people in Canada have never made fun of Americans ever.Yeah. Fine. I still felt pissed off though. Especially since I paused Mega Man 2 music to watch the first minute or two of that.

No, it would be satiracal if the ones making the idiotic statements were being made to look like fools in comparison with a more level headed character. Also, it's airing on a news network, how many people do you think turn this on because they've bought into the Fox brand and think this kind of crap actually constitutes news?
Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld, a late night comedy talk show on the Fox News Channel
tsk tsk...you guys... /facepalm
I think that most of you don't realize that the name Fox News is a little misleading because that show is more comentary and entertainment than anything. It's basically like The Daily Show or the Cobert Report except with slightly more news.

They are obviously not trying to create satire and it's obviously not a news program. I don't understand the problem.[QUOTE="mrbojangles25"]All mainstream news is heavily biased. Some just more obviously than others. No, its not joke news. Its just biased news. Just like MSNBC

Thats exactly my point.
One says "Obaman screwed the AMerican people with his economic plan, and heres why"
and the other says "Obama is the savior of the American people, and heres why"
and we as a people need to pick out the facts from the bias. We cant sit on our behinds and assume what is spoken is the truth

And the award for most off the mark statement goes to...
If what I saw of that show is any indicator of how they usually talk, I am sorry but that is a piss-poor excuse for news. There was one iota of news in the entire clip, that Canada was pulling troops out of Afghanistan. No numbers, no interviews or clips, nothing. The Daily Show and Colbert Report cram more news into one punchline than they did into that entire segment. DS+CR may be comedy programs, but they do get a good amount of actual news into their programs. What i saw on this program does not qualify as actual news.
As for it being a comedy program, CR+DS are on a COMEDY network with no reference to NEWS in its title. Fox is airing something that apparantly passes for comedy on a NEWS network with a big NEWS logo at the bottom of the screen. You said it best, it's misleading, and it's done that way intentionally because Fox knows there are people out there who are going to be misled by it.

This actually made me facepalm..... I mean Come on stop the hate. we've got to do something.... lawl
This little prgram just goes to show how much Fox News commentators and guests actually study up on their little discussion topics. "I didn't even know Canada was in the war" Utterly hillarious indeed.
First off the link in question to Fox's latest string of silly comments: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcJn5XlbSFk I know most people make jokes on Canada's expense and such but there's a line to cross and I wouldn't be bothered if this was just a joke parody or something but this is an actual interview on FOX. So...thoughts? Comments? Please don't turn this into a country vs country thing. If this is old then I apologize.Ace6301
That just shows the mental state of US right winged media adressed to the hardcore right winged voters. It's a pitty.
I am lost on that too, people need to understand that Red Eye is NOT serious attempt at news. It's just a comedy show and nothing more. People take that show WAY too seriously when even the people on it are just joking around.I don't know if this entire thread is compiled with sarcasm or people are that dense about this show.

What's a comedy show doing on a news channel?
Well fox should no have elianated every single Canadian viewer. But I have known forever that fox is just a propaganda channel for the conservative movement.
You do realize that Red Eye is on at like 2 in the morning and it's not really news, right?
Seriously, this Fox bashing crap is getting to become a joke. Yes, there are people out there who don't have the same views as you. Not everyone is going to have an extreme liberal bias like MSNBC (which was pretty much part of Obama's campaign) and CNN.
MSNBC is much, much, much more biased than Fox is.

So they can't joke on a show at 2 in the morning? Every news station jokes. Give me a break...

Exactly.
It's the people getting their panties in a bunch over this that are a joke.
Some advice for you. Actually do your research on what kind of show Red Eye actually is before posting this garbage...
