Fox News: You sure it's not joke news?

I stopped watching once I saw Red Eye.

Barack Obama has been cracking some jokes recently (does it have to be funny to be a joke?) so they probably just wanted to join in.

There are not many people I wish death on, these people are now in that group.

If this isnt a joke, then I'm really supurised that this isn't causing all sorts of problems.

God, it's douchebags live. And to think I had so much respect for Doug Benson after Super High Me. Not only is there barely any semblance of news in there, not only is there a total lack of any kind of dissent, but it basically amounts to a bunch of idiots throwing around stereotypes and unsubstantiated, sensationalistic crap. Russia is going to use Canada as a staging ground for an invasion? What is this, 1950? It should be illegal to call that news. TMZ has more of a claim to being legitimate news than that.

And I don't watch MSNBC (no cable), so I only see clips here or there. I've never seen a full Olberman program, but from what I have seen of Maddow she has the closest thing to legitimate reporting on American TV.

Also, it's airing on a news network, how many people do you think turn this on because they've bought into the Fox brand and think this kind of crap actually constitutes news?

I think that most of you don't realize that the name Fox News is a little misleading because that show is more comentary and entertainment than anything. It's basically like The Daily Show or the Cobert Report except with slightly more news.

and we as a people need to pick out the facts from the bias. We cant sit on our behinds and assume what is spoken is the truth

If what I saw of that show is any indicator of how they usually talk, I am sorry but that is a piss-poor excuse for news. There was one iota of news in the entire clip, that Canada was pulling troops out of Afghanistan. No numbers, no interviews or clips, nothing. The Daily Show and Colbert Report cram more news into one punchline than they did into that entire segment. DS+CR may be comedy programs, but they do get a good amount of actual news into their programs. What i saw on this program does not qualify as actual news.

As for it being a comedy program, CR+DS are on a COMEDY network with no reference to NEWS in its title. Fox is airing something that apparantly passes for comedy on a NEWS network with a big NEWS logo at the bottom of the screen. You said it best, it's misleading, and it's done that way intentionally because Fox knows there are people out there who are going to be misled by it.

First of all, Red Eye isn't really news. Second of all, go watch MSNBC and watch Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow. Those two have the most biased news on TV. remmbermytitans

MSNBC and CNN are biased no doubt, but at times Fox News resembles propaganda more than an actual news network.

And Red Eye is an awful show that makes me angry more than it makes me laugh.

Well fox should no have elianated every single Canadian viewer. But I have known forever that fox is just a propaganda channel for the conservative movement.
