I don't support gay marriage. I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. The supreme court ruled it is legal. The supreme court also ruled slavery was legal. Gays can get married by a justice of the peace but not necessarily in a church by a minister. Religious rights are protected by the constitution. This was forced on 97.7 % by 2.3% of the people and the court. Gay marriage is definitely not steeled and that is the truth of the matter.

@MakeMeaSammitch: Per a Capita blacks commit far more violent crimes. They also kill whites far more then whites kill blacks. That is a fact, are you saying that the numbers are so high because they are wrongly accused?

The rest of your stats are nothing more then random BS. They have more opportunity then any race out there. More free scholarships(yet are the least educated). And laws that require them to be hired even if they don't meet qualifications! How can nobody wants to hire black people yet we have a black President? Did you ever think job opportunities may not be quite as good because they may not be as qualified?

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Yeah, it's not a theocracy no matter how much you want it to be.

That was added at a much later time to our pledge. In the 1950's to fight "godless communism". Much like how In God We Trust was added to our money. The original real motto of our country that was printed on our money is E Pluribus Unum. (out of many, one) The USA is a Democratic Republic, it is not a theocracy. Moves have been made to make it one, but we are successfully undoing all of that a bit at a time.

The only part of marriage that maters is the legal part anyway. Most heterosexual couples get that done before their actual wedding, meaning they are already married before they go to church, if they choose to have a religious ceremony. The religious ceremony part of the equation is irrelevant. No one wants to take it away from Christians, no one wants to force Christians to host them in their churches either.

You do know that that "one nation under god" wasn't in the original pledge of allegiance do you? That part was added on June 14, 1954.

This is the original one from 1892: "I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the republic for which it stands, one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

I vote yes, same sex couple should be allowed to adopt children if they demonstrate they have the means to provide the child with his/hers needs.

Thank God America doesn´t have a "state" or "official" religion, besides, "religious marriages" have ZERO LEGAL VALUE, that means ----> ****´em, all you need is the justice of the peace to perform the official ( legally valid ) marriage.

And I don't think the pledge of allegiance actually functions as a legal guideline for the country

I just watched an older movie today Logan Run the city where everyone was an example of the perfect Liberal society, no marriage, everyone was in a group, no religion, no pollution, no individualism, no political parties, people were born in test tubes, and everyone was killed when they reached the age of thirty.

You've got it backwards. Liberalism is about the rights of individuals while conservatism is about enforcing tradition and organic unity. It's not rocket science, the name comes from the word "liberty".

Besides how is that in anyway linked to same sex marriage? Stop coming up with these pathetic excuses for your homophobia.

Okay, what's your point? The supreme court isn't forcing you into a homosexual marriage.

This was forced on 97.7 % by 2.3% of the people and the court.

Nothing is being forced on anybody! If you believe marriage is between a man and a woman, than you can keep it that way. Don't like homosexual marriage? Don't get married to a homosexual.

I don't understand why people are getting salty over the fact that its been ruled constitutional for homosexuals to get married. Why are you guys hell bent on keeping people from doing what makes them happy?

There's no one I love more than my girlfriend/partner/best friend. We have no immediate plans to get married, but I can't imagine some dipshit politician, religious zealot or ignorant mob trying to keep us from doing what makes us happy.

You got your way, go get married, be gay. Maybe now you can stop shoving it in our faces and taking up valuable time that can be spent on more important things. Move on, enough rainbows. We get it, you're gay. Hip hip horay. I don't care.

They'll never go away. The goal of the gay movement wasn't for gay rights because if it was, they'd speak out more about the treatment of homosexuals in the Middle East. The goal was to destroy religion in America and the distraction of gay "marriage" and the distraction of what will essentially become gay affirmative action will come. Now, any opinion that doesn't fully embrace and accept all aspects of LGBT is hatred and bigotry. Soon, any display of Christianity will be treated the same. Hell, it pretty much already is.

The day is soon coming that people will be beaten because they display a cross or a nativity scene. We already see instances of this in the "knockout game" where blacks attack Whites and other non-blacks yet they are not called hate crimes. The only hate crime that can possibly be committed is by a White, heterosexual, Christian.

While I do not agree with everything you said, I certainly have to agree on some of it. I really can see a future America where white, conservative Christians are considered pariahs.

The Supreme court doesn't want to accept that case for deliberation, but several members of congress have introduced a national carry law that would make it legal.

"You got your way"? That sounds utterly pathetic. This wouldn't have been such a large issue if same-sex marriage would have just been allowed in the first place. But no, not here in America, where a combination of religious fundamentalism and archaic ideals tried their best to stop this at every corner. So yes, instead of a piecemeal approach to overturning individuals bans at the state level, it is finally over. We can move on and tackle other issues.

You got your way, go get married, be gay. Maybe now you can stop shoving it in our faces and taking up valuable time that can be spent on more important things. Move on, enough rainbows. We get it, you're gay. Hip hip horay. I don't care.

"I don't care"

Is that why you have been posting in several LGBT threads?

Also, whats with the persecutary delusion? In a country where 80% of the population are christian and the majority are white, I seriously doubt you will ever be persecuted.

Deal with what?

I don't care what you write on here, you can do whatever you want. I'm just saying you come across as crass and bigoted.

You guys both agree he's revolting. Shouldn't the argument be over?
