[QUOTE="mrbojangles25"][QUOTE="gamedude2020"] I can't believe people are actualy saying USA:roll:
What do American kids get taught at school? First history lesson - planet earth rotates around North America - Americans are a special race of humans - American guns never run out of ammo - American action heros never die, even though they get shot 600 times.
If you look at the history of planet earth - the USA is not even worth two milli-seconds.
The greatest nation on earth was either the British Empire and its commonwealth or the Roman empire.

this made me rofl.
comeon...the british empire? And as for "earth rotating around N America" I think the British were far more arrogent during their imperial days than any other nation then, now, or in the past.
and once again some poor naive guy thinks america is gun crazy...
but I agree it would be a great place and time to live. I love England, especially Oxford. Eagle and Child FTW!
Do you actually know anything about the british empire? sure they were arrogant... only nation on earth to put "great" in their name... But they were the absolute undisputed power in there time. What America has to day absolutely pales in comparison to the British Empire's hey day.
as I said Britain had control... that means they forcibly invaded and ceased control of more than 1/4 of the earths land mass. That is way, way, way beyond America's capabilities. And America will never be able to achieve that. And during that time Britain had the military power to crush many rebellions, the navy to as the song goes "rule the sea's"... What the British Empire did was mad. And something like it most likely won't ever be achieved again.
there is more to being great than dominating the most amount of foreign countries.
If that was true then the US would definately be insignificant since, well, we really only dominate two at the moment (Iraq and Afghanistan) and not that well, I might add.
The fact is, however, that the US has the greatest "potential energy" if you will. Right now, and in the past, our presidents and politcal system havent set a great example and right now our international relations with the rest of the world are FUBAR.
But I sincerely believe that if one nation can unite the world, establish a common currency and market, and silence any threat to peaceful nations I think it is the US. I dont say this out of arrogence or pride, either, I think if we get a good leader, cabinet, and congress and the American people are willing to sacrifice a bit of their lifestyle we could make the world a paradise for just about everyone willing to accept it.
