It crosses my mind periodically. I do feel bad sometimes when I eat meat, but then again, animals shouldn't taste so damn good.

Yes, but then I realized that I like the idea of meat in my mouth. Hamburgers are too delicious to pass up, especially when my daddy or step-dad makes 'em.

Yeah, to me nothing can outweigh the taste of some chicken or turkey, mmmmm.... but organic food does normally taste better than other, like organic garlic to me is sweeter than other garlic, and it's much better for you. The only problem is price, it's kind of expensive.

Yeah I don't eat meat - I believe one day all humans will be vegetarians -

If you saw how the animals were made you would not eat them - trouble is most of us don't actually see what is going on -

or even if the animal was there in front of you - most of you would not be able to kill it ? right?

Not eating meat goes against what humans were designed to do

So no, I have no interest in doing it wrong

I mean how hard is it not to screw up? Eat plants and animals the way we're designed, it's not a complicated set of instructions.

Nope. I was born an omnivore, I will die an omnivore. Nature is extant for me to take advantage of the spoils it offers, just so long as I don't overuse or take what it offers for granted. Animals are not people, and in any instance of survival, I would do what it takes to survive (if that meant cannibalizing a corpse, then so be it). I respect and appreciate nature, but I don't go out of my way to treat animals like humans.

No, humans were meant to eat meat, and it's only because of the vast availability of food and supplements now that being a vegan/vegetarian is even an option.

Humans are designed to eat meat, it's how we're built. Not doing it is the wrong way to maintain your body.

I have a few sort of vegetarian/vegan tendancies but I'm not actually either. For instance I use vegan butter, cheese, and milk substitutes; and I eat red meat and dairy only occassionally. I don't want to be strict vegetarian or vegan but those ways of life have inspired me to make some healthier changes. ETA: Plus I just don't think people need as much meat as most people eat. We go a little overboard.

No. Not for animal welfare reasons (they're animals), not for health reasons (moderation, not exclusion, is the key), not for religious reasons. I do eat things that could be considered vegetarian and vegan, but only because I like variety. I will eat tofu, for example, or spaghetti with a mock ground meat once in a while. It's no substitute for meat in any way, but it's nice for an occasional change.

In light of those improvements, doesnt it seem like raising animals for meat is a bit uncouth? Surely if we can learn to manufacture somethign that tastes the same it will catch on right? The only part missing would be the fact that numerous things have to die for us to have lunch.

I would like to see a television reality series that places a bunch of vegans in the forest and tells them to survive on what they can find. Without energy from animal meat, they wouldn't last very long (considering carbs and lentils aren't available in the forest).
