People who say no make me laugh.
Everyone, no matter who you are, is racist. But that doesn't make you a bad person, it's just an evolved psychological mechanism. It's whether or not you act on the racism that matters.
[QUOTE="Cerussite"][QUOTE="MagnumPI"]It's a generic definition, that's why. A definition is only as good as it's source. A racist is a separatist or divider while a bigot is a hater. They are not synonymous.

That's the standard English definition from a reliable source... I don't know what else you want. I'm sorry it's not the word of god.:|
It's a GENERIC DEFINITION. It's not a comprehensive definition. Kind of like teaching someone another language. You don't give them an accurate definition of the words because that would be too confusing for them. So you give them simplistic definitions. SIMPLISTIC being the key factor.Look, I gave a definition. You could go to any dictionary and it would say roughly the same thing. Just because your definition of racism differs from what the actual definition is, doesn't mean the dictionaries are wrong. It just means that you are.well... I'm like cartman if you know what I mean... I don't hate them but I lke to make fun of them for no reason... :?club-sandwich
Oh there's a reason. They're too proud to be bantered because ethnicity and nationality is serious business. LIke the intaweb. Oh nos you di-int,no you di-int.
Yes. Though it's mostly towards minorities who I would name, on average "less intelligent". It's probably that Gifted and Talented education program I'm in; my particular class has two entire different "races" in it. Of course, those not in the program often regard us as "nerds/geeks" at which point we retort with blatantly complex insults that they have no hope of understanding.
Either way, being in such a program caused me to develop a hatred for those who weren't in it; as well as a hatred towards their culture, religion, and interests.
Not usually. But if a person doesn't mind being called something racist than I sometimes call the person that. For instance I know this muslim pakistani kid, and I occasionally call him a terrorist but only after he went around school and pretended to be a jihad.
My friend is racist though. He calls Japanese people nips and hates Japanese people. He also thought that the aborigines attacked the white people instead of it being the other way round. In class there was an African sitting next to us and he started making clicking noises. I admit it was hilarious but I definitely would'nt of done that.
Well I'm not really into the whole racist discussion on gamespot because i could get suspended. Lets just say a certain race up here in Canada likes to smoke weed, break into houses and steal things and cause a bunch of fights and listen to rap thinking there brown skin is actually black. I'm not mentioning anything else but everywhere i go they are around. Vancouver to freaking Calgary. Don't really know about eastern Canada. Worst thing is they get free college (WTF!?) and a check in the male each month. Its like "Yeah you break into other peoples houses heres your free check from the goverment"
Now i know not all of them do! Just saying everywhere i go its the same old same old.
I don't think I'm racist but when i see the same skin colored people do the same exact things over and over and over it kind of gets you thinking.
Maybe I'm just frustrated, but whites have been disappearing steadilly from my area and all areas that are important to me. All my life this has been going on. Other ethnic groups replace us, and nobody even says a word or is allowed to complain. And Black rap culture is even seeping into everything including kids programs, and I find that completely disturbing.
I'm also disturbed by local convienient stores. They're run by middle easterners of course. And they sell pocketknives, gangsta rap and gear, and naked picures of white women. Yes, that is very disturbing to me.
Basically I've seen my neighborhood stores go from family friendly, to Satan's shops of horrors.
[QUOTE="Kritical_Strike"][QUOTE="Kikouken"]Surprised at the high amounts of people who said "yes"xTw1st4x
At least they're honest.
It is surprising..

Wow you do know there are people of every race who do what you just described? You think all black people are like that? Way to generalize...seems like you need to get out more.

No. Racism is not an inherent condition of being human. Not everyone is racist. Speak for yourself and not others.
Yes, I believe everyone is to a certain degree. It is human nature.DrSponge
Nope. It's not human nature. There isn't a person born who was born racist. It's learned.

Where do people get this idea from? Do they just make this **** up to try and justify their own messed up beliefs?[QUOTE="DrSponge"]Yes, I believe everyone is to a certain degree. It is human nature.LJS9502_basic

Hmm I guess you're correct, I wasn't really thinking when I posted >_> :P

I believe it's justificaton for their own racism. They take comfort in believing that everyone is racist....makes them feel better about their own,.

Okay, I guess it doesn't matter because everyone eventually figures out the difference anyway. I hate to say it but the Urban dictionary probably has a more accurate definition than a published dictionary. My gut feeling says "I'm a racist", my logical thinking says "I don't really know" so for me at least it's definitely not learnt but of nature.Kev_Boy
So you've never watched TV or movies? You were raised in a home that is 100% free of racial intolerance? You've never listened to "radio music?"
All of these things (especially TV) influence your fears in order to make you more likely to consume. It's in their interest to make you racist...

 Nothing can make you racist.

What the hell are you talking about... if anything it's the other way around, around here the multiculturism is thoroughly embraced, it's even against the law to be racist, but I guess we're not alone in that.

Are you really serious? I hope your posts are some weird sort of sarcasm or subtle trolling, because if you truly believe all that you wrote, you scare me far more than any crack-addicted, wanna-be gangster. Your predjudice goes far beyond what is real, and into the realm of a hateful, biggoted fantasy.
Basically, judging from your posts, your problem isn't that you're discriminated against because you don't watch Pimp My Ride or listen to Rap music; your problem seems to be that these things exist, and are popular.... I mean, how dare someone listen to hip-hop, or look at pictures of naked women in your neighbourhood, right? They must automatically be degenerates...... I guess you must be one of those Evangelists I've heard so much about......
I have to say, I absolutely cannot believe the level of racism on this site. And it's all so casual, like it's perfectly normal. It's like 65% of you say: "Yeah, I mean obviously I think my race is superior, but that's completely natural". Before looking at this thread, I really thought people's thinking was a bit more advanced at the start of the 21st century than it was at the start of the 20th, but apparently not. It's like we're back in the 1930s or something. Oh well. At least I can take some comfort in the knowledge that I'm not racist....
I don't know but some people are racist against me because I'm from Northern Europe. I've been called a filthy finnish girl, and a lot of other things but I guess I am racist to those that are against me but I try to avoid it.-dark-shadow-
Only stupid, worthless people would call you that. They're not even worth thinking about....
Finnish girls I've met are really cute, and more importantly, Finnish people that I've spoken to are usually very friendly.......
