I am a bit, dont hate minorities but certainly dont like them very much until that individual earns my respect.
afterall, the majority of there kind do fit into steretypes just as most white people do. until they prove they arent like that ill hold them to my prejudice

Stereotypes are never true across the board. For every one you think fits the stereotype in any given group...there are ten that don't.
Honestly? No, I'm not racist. I even always say African-Americans instead of Black because I'm a little too careful.Aquat1cF1sh
I find that just plain stupid. Saying "black guy" is just a description, it has no hate meaning to it and people calling that racist are just morons. Now what's annoying aobut african american is that there's rarly a black guy with heritage to africa now a days. Gneerations have passed, and often a black guy isn't even from africa. He could be jamacin for all you know.

of course they arent... across the board. but the majority of people DO fit in. because the MAJORITY of people are sheep.
like i said. ill hold onto my prejudice until they prove otherwise. Its pretty fair, and its not like im just saying it either because ive met a good amount of blacks who arent stereotypes. but ive met so many that are.

Wrong on all counts. I could make up something outrageous about the state/country you live in.....and I bet I'd find some that fit that category. Doesn't mean the stereotype is correct. Once one gets educated....stereotypes disappear.;)

They're honest. Most people have some form of bias whether it is obvert or subconcious. There are very few people that are truly objective. Most people don't tolerate overt racism, but hidden forms of bias exist everywhere. I feel safer knowing that people at least acknowlege that as opposed to stick their heads in the sand and tell everyone how open minded they are.
[QUOTE="xTw1st4x"]86 voted "Yes":|legolasxbowwow thats pretty sad Thinking "stupid (insert racial slure)" when some ghetto blasting jive monger comes jostling by is no different than thinking "Fat slob" when some fat guy with condements and spaghettiOs encrusted into his shirt walks by.
Besides... everything they teach you about racism is politically correct garbage that was determined by some uptown ass that never met anyone outside of rich white neighborhood. You must experience to understand it. Some people deserve it because they fit the stereotype. As they say... If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and acts like a duck it must be a duck.
These days the best way to get whatever you want is to accuse someome or something of racism. It doesn't matter how valid it is it simply detracts people away from the real issue.
And the stupidest part about it is... There is no where in the law that says you can't be a racist. You can't abuse someone nor deny them their rights but the law never said you have to like them. You don't have to like them you just have to be fair. Biased treatment is prohibited not biased attitude.
You can't change someone's mind by har****ing them. You certainly can annoy them. But that would just make you an antagonist.
EDIT: WTF is up with this message system? It scensors just about every word with the letters A S S. So... harbutting? I guess.

Funny thing about stereotypes is that individuals from ALL races fit any given stereotype. So it's not a good indicator to start with.

I think the term racist is a very loose term. I am honest in saying I haev nothing against a person of a different race. However, the term against, and the term notice are often conveluted in the odd rage stirred by the topic. I say "black guy" if I'm describing a person who is black. I'm open about that. It never implys any hate at all though, I'm not seperating you into groups.

See above. There is a particular category for race whether one believes in it or not. I don't actually. Nonetheless, society has and as such we acquiesce to societal norms. One can't unilaterally make one's own definition when society has already done so.;)

No...those are subjective...not objective. Regarding race....pigment, physical characteristics, and geographical ethnicity are all used to determine race. Not the same as fads.

Categorizing people into races based on their phenotype is as subjective as the majority's belief in their status of being cool. There is some criteria for determining if someone is emo. Would you say that a dissenting opinion of what an emo is would contain less truth because it is not a mainstream belief?Let's just say sometimes we are mistaken. Sometimes for some reason people accidently go out of their way to fit a description. Due to these uncommon freak accidents they maybe unfairly judged, but usually they are a cardboard cutout. I've been alive long enough, I've been around enough people long enough to know this.
Kids are an exception to the rule because they often do misprepresent themselve because they don't realize it. All they know is they're getting attention.
There's an established image with everything and anything uniform. So when people dress the way and act the way they are establishing the image. uniform is all about emulation or image. Key word being uni as in single. One that is always the same.
Do I hate anyone for his skin color? Not at all. Do I stereotype on occasion? Yeah.
I'd never dislike anyone for his race, but I'm from an area where at least 98% of the population is Caucasian. So, I have a tough time relating to other races. There's a [pardon my unintentional ignorance] black kid in my gym class whom I've talked to through friends for a couple years now and I talk to him every day during class, but I always have something in the back of my head not to say anything questionable, even though I never do. I guess I'm still learning some social skills.
