[QUOTE="Arcade-Fire"]im Irish and i love Americans and think their confidence is hilarious. you will have some annoying ones like any country. they all have confidence in everything they do and have a great sense of teamwork. they are similar to Australians except a bit more patriotic, and from my experience thats the general opinion in Dublin at leastArcade-Fire

Ireland has laws on free speech. But funding the IRA 70 or 80 years ago was a just cause for Irish-Americans

Arcade-Fire

Funding the IRA, a group who have slaughtered countless men women and children in the pursuit of a movement the northern irish people dont even want, are being put in the same sentence as "just cause". :|

they were fighting for our freedom, similar to the american fighting for their freedom, and the black and tans had been doing thing just as bad, i don't agree with them post 1916 and lots of N. Irish people would like to be part of the republic

Most of us N. Irish don't care about the whole North/South divide anymore but the fact that Northern Ireland is basically supported by UK taxes makes a union with Ireland anytime soon quite improbable.
